Chereads / FBIWC / Chapter 35 - Him

Chapter 35 - Him

Years ago in a village not so far from the school.

"Grandpa look. Hebe." Kego pointed out.

"Don't worry grandson." Grandpa smiled and walked into the village. "We'll be staying here for a while. So just try to get used to it." The grandpa told Kego as he ran up behind his grandpa.

The Hebe already began to stare at them like they were bugs. But Grandpa just kept smiling and walking. After walking through the village for a little while Kego saw a girl getting bullied by 4 boys.

Kego took off imminently to go help her. Kego didn't talk he just punched one of the boys in the face and made him slide away.

"Get lost!" Kego yelled at the boys.

The boys hurried up and picked up their friend and ran away.

Kego turned and looked at the crying girl, "You can stop crying now." Kego reached out his hand to help the girl up.

"T-thank you." She took his hand and stood. Then she noticed Kego's tail.

"You have a tail?" She was surprised.

Kego hurried up and tried to hide it.

"No, it's ok! I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable." She bowed deeply.

"Huh? No, you're fine." Kego shrugged off.

"Oh, ok. Anyway thanks for saving me." She lifted up just to bow again.

"No problem." Kego smiled, "I guess not all Hebe can be bad." He thought to himself.

"What's your name?" The girl asked.

"My name is Kego."

"I'm Neash. Nice to meet you." Her smile made Kego blush so he quickly turned away.

"A-anyway, why were those boys picking on you?"

"Billy and his gang always mess with me. They say scares are weird." She showed her arms there were cut scares.

"How'd you get them?" Kego asked,

"I was born on the battlefield. And raised on it for 5 years. Just barely surviving with my mother and father." She explained.

"...So the scares are showing you're strong. Why bully somebody over that. Sounds pretty stupid to me." Kego was a bit mad.

Neash eyes lit up when Kego told her that, "You're the best!" She jumped and hugged Kego.

"A-ay!" Kego's face was bright red.

"Having fun?" Grandpa laughed at Kego.

"Shut it old man!" Kego exclaimed.

"Who are you?" Neash asked,

"I'm Kego's grandpa." He smiled friendly.

"Oh," She let go of Kego "Hello, I'm Neash."

"Nice to meet you Neash. Me and Kego will be staying here for a while. So feel free to play with him when you like."

"Yay!" She hugged Kego again.

"Kego you stay here and play. I have things to do." Grandpa waved goodbye.

"I'm happy he's already made a friend," Grandpa thought to himself as he walked away. "Now to the head of the village leader."

Grandpa walked until he came upon a log house. He knocked then waited. Then a man answered the door. His eyes were low to the point where you could barely see his pupils and his dark green hair matched his eyes.

"Hello. I'm Múdry. I'm here to ask permission to stay in your village." He asked nicely.

"You want to stay here?" The man had a soft voice.

"Well not just me. But I had something I wish to discuss." Múdry sounded like he had something up his sleeve which piqued the man's interest.

"...Come in and we can talk" He opened the door more and went and sat down.

Múdry entered and closed the door behind him and sat across from the man.

"Before we start. My name is Maka. Now we can start." Maka picked up a drank that was left on the table.

"To start. I know a way to make this village more powerful." Múdry Completely snatched Maka's attention with that sentence alone.

"If you let me I could add more to your village. Me being Human. I can work fast." Yes, you read that right. "Not only that, I know a way to bring in more. The more that come the more powerful this village becomes. The faster we get stronger as well."

"I see." Maka thought about it, "What do you want for this. You're not just doing this out of the kindness of your heart."

"All I ask is that you treat my people as equals. Nothing more. Nothing less." Múdry smiled.

"...I'd be an idiot to not accept something like that. It's too good to be true." Maka smiled.

"How do you want me to prove that's all I want?" Múdry asked.

"Start working. I'll be moderating." Maka told him.

"I will as soon as you agree." Múdry stood strong.

"I guess I can try my best to grant your wish." Maka took a sip of his drank.

"Alright then. I'll get to work." Múdry nodded then left the house.

"...Damn monkeys. Calling themselves Human. Where did they get the idea they're human." Maka slapped his glass on the table. Then suddenly a boy walked in.

"Dad. A boy punched me~" He was crying like a bitch. He was also the boy Kego punched.

"What? Who put their nasty hands on you?" Maka went and inspected his son's bloody face.

"I don't know. My friends say he had a tail." He sobbed like a baby.

"...I see." Maka knew what happened right after he heard that. "Try to stay away from that boy from now on." Maka gently rubbed his son's head.

What a bitch. Anyway, to what Kego is doing...

"Yea. My tail is the strongest part of my body." Kego was explaining to Neash.

"That's so cool! I wish I had a tail." Neash pouted a little bit.

Neash made Kego proud to be who he was and he couldn't help but smile. The sound of people talking happily. The clear sky. And Her. Kego started to think he could like this place.

"...The sun's starting to set." Neash looked disappointed.

"Oh yeah." Kego turned around and was greeted with a golden sunset.

"That means I have to go home. Mom and dad don't like me out past dark."

Kego gently smiled "I can take you home."

Neash's eyes lit up "Really!? Let's go." She grabbed Kego's arm and they began to walk.

Neash began to sing happily " "Can our love, dance with sunrays~. Can you tell me that it's true~? Why does my heart feel as if it's snowing~? Even though I'm dancing with you~" Her singing was peaceful. And flowed naturally.

"Amazing!" Kego clapped.

"Thank you!" She smiled big.

After walking for a bit they arrived at her house.

"I'm home!" Neash yelled as she burst in the door.

A man came running around the corner "NEEEASH!" The man slid on his knees and hugged her.

"Hello, dad!" Neash Hugged him back.

"Do we have a guest?" Her mom peaked around the corner and asked.

"Looks like we do." The dad leaned in and stared hard at Kego's face.

"Um...Hello." Kego was nervous.

"Hello to you too!" Her dad picked Kego up and hugged him as well.

"He's so fast and strong!" Kego thought to himself.

"Oh? There you are Kego." Múdry smiled and waved to the family.

"Hello, grandpa." Kego waved from Neash's dad's arm.

Her dad set them down. "Nice to meet ya, sir. I'm Quaeso." He put out his hand and Múdry shook it.

"I'm Múdry. Nice to meet you as well." Múdry enjoyed the present feeling of meeting a good heart person.

"My wife is cooking something right now if you would like to eat." Quaeso was the nicest man in this story so far.

"Not gonna pass up free food." Múdry laughs.

Quaeso joins in. And just like that, they became friends.

Later...

They were all sitting down and eating.

"So what brought you to a small village like ours?" Quaeso asked them.

"I'm here on business." Múdry answers.

"Hey, mister. How do I grow a tail?" Neash asked.

"Neash!" Her mom grunted at her.

"No no. It's fine." Múdry smiled. "It's something you have to be born with. You can't just grow one." He told her nicely.

"Ooh. Dang." She pouts a little bit but gets over it fast.

"Who wants more?" The mom asked.

They all raised their bowls.

Good times like this continued for a few years. The village started to grow a lot more because Múdry plan was working. They had gained 30 humans over the years and more Hebe.

The Humans were treated as equals.

One bright sunny day...

"Now that we're done with training for today you wanna go get something to eat?" Neash asked Kego.

"Sure." Kego nodded then bumped into a boy.

"IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS IT BURNS."
