Steve wanted to talk to Erica about what just happened as it felt very real. This kiss was never like he had with other women.
He wanted to kiss her more, he felt empty letting go of her lips. He wanted to know what she felt. He was curious if Erica had the same feeling as him but since this whole place was bugged he kept quiet.
He didn't want anyone else to know what is between them.
Steve then put the ring on her finger and the two then continued eating their dinner, he informed her that he took her dad's permission before proposing to her and Erica looked at him in surprise.
Steve then winked at her, implying it was a lie.
Erica smiled at him, "What was dad's reaction?"
"He was very happy, he said he always hoped for us to be a thing but then he thought we are just friends and gave up hopes on us. He gladly accepted me" Steve lied perfectly.
