Akashi standing on one side of the training field in training clothes with Karin and Kushina behind him.
In front of him was Iruma Uchiha flanked by his clansmates, standing on the other side of the training field.
They both looked at each other with a haughty expression. After all, they were both considered geniuses by their peers.
"I hope you aren't going to disappoint me too much, Uchiha,"
Akashi said as the girls behind him moved away, similarly Iruma's friends moved back leaving only the two facing each other.
The trees around them at that moment had welcomed quite a few ninjas of the young generation, and a few older ones here to recolt information on the two fighters.
The two fighters looked at each other in the eyes for a few seconds when a mocking smile appeared on Iruma's lips.
In an instant, his pupils changed and two tomoe sharingan appeared in his eyes as he launched an illusion toward Akashi.
Unfortunately, the moment the change occurred in Iruma, Akashi lowered himself adopting the position of a swordsman drawing his sword.
One of his seals resoned and a white katana appeared in his hand.
"Sword style: fast draw"
Akashi knew very well the functions of the Sharingan possessing one himself he knew that even though the Sharingan gives many abilities using them simultaneously is very hard.
This is why he baited Iruma by looking into his launching an illusion it became hard to use another of the features of the Sharingan.
"swoosh," Akashi moved at incredible speed toward his opponent.
"Swing," without stopping he swang his sword toward Iruma's torso.
It was so fast that a lot of the ninjas present only saw a blur before Akashi appeared behind Iruma.
"Huh, you are faster than I thought,"
Akashi turned around and looked at Iruma who had narrowly avoided his attack by making a ninety-degree left turn, a massive gash could be seen on the ground in front of him where Akashi's attack had landed.
"You baited me!" Iruma said tilting his head toward Akashi with a serious expression and cold sweat on his forehead after realizing what Akashi had done.
Of the young ninjas only a few saw and understood what happened.
"He looked at him in the eyes to incite him to launch an illusion, and use that at his advantage to launch a surprise attack," a young Hizashi Hyuga that had joined the other young of the major clans with Fugaku Uchiha explained to everyone present.
"High risk high reward, huh, it could've been over in an instant. Even if it failed it gave him the upper hand." the Nara heir Shikaku said looking at the fight that had resumed.
The two ninjas were performing a deadly dance in the field sparks were flying everywhere as the white sword of Akashi clashed with Iruma holding a kunai in each hand.
The two had completely different styles. Akashi, with his katana, moved more like a samurai and was more direct and deliberate, focusing more on power to overwhelm his opponent. Even his accelerations created cracks on the ground.
While Iruma as a typical ninja was more focused on speed, dexterity, and precision, with his Sharingan he was able to predict Akashi's moves and avoid them before launching counters and sneak attacks.
Unfortunately, nothing that he was doing seemed to work.
'How is he doing that? Nothing I'm doing works! I'm faster, and with my Sharingan I can predict his moves plus he has to move while being careful not to meet my gaze and somehow I'm the one been push back, why?!'
"Crack, slash," after another attack one of the kunai of Iruma got sliced up.
"tsk,"
After retreating a few meters away Iruma looked at his damaged weapon with a frown before hurling them toward Akashi.
In the same breath he took out multiple shurikens and using his Sharingan he threw them toward Akashi at very tricky angles,
"Swoosh," the shurikens arrived at Akashi's level in an instant.
"clang, clang…" one of the shurikens struck another one changing his trajectory and like a domino effect they went to touch another who changed trajectory and in an instant under the stupefied eyes of everyone all the shurikens had their trajectories altered.
"He is surrounded!"
"Impressive techniques,"
"The Uchiha shurikens style is impressive,"
"He is done,"
Everyone had a different reaction, but most were fascinated by that elegant yet deadly attack.
They looked with fascination as the shurikens and kunais crept toward Akashi from every side.
"No room for escape, beautifully, I need to learn that," Akashi murmured looking at the shurikens closing in on him.
Iruma had blocked all his escape routes even behind him.
Looking at those kunai Akashi pondered on how to stop them
'Should I use the adamantine chains or just use my swords, they probably already know that that I have them as I never tried to hide it,' he pondered leisurely during the fight Konoha wasn't the strongest village ninjas for nothing after all.
'Sword then!' he decided, and before the shurikens arrived a seal on his other wristband activated and his black sword appeared in his left hand.
"Clang, cling…"
In front of everyone Akashi moved at great speed using his sword, he effectuated a magnificent performance and deflected every shuriken coming toward him.
It didn't matter if the shurikens were coming from an incredibly tricky angle or if they were straightforward, under the stupefied eyes of the ninjas all the shurikens were deflected and stopped.
Everyone was impressed by that move, but before they could even digest what just happened Iruma smiled wickedly
"I got you," he shouted performing a one-handed seal "Explosion!!"
Kunais that had been planted on the ground and still hovering in the air started to light up.
Looking closely Akashi saw some explosives tags wrapped on the handle of some of the kunais.
"Wooh," he exclaimed and under the surprised eyes of every ninjas present a massive explosion occurred
"Boom, boom, boom…" a series of explosions occurred in the field.
"Fire style: massive fireball,"
After a deep breath, Iruma spat a ball of fire in toward the cloud of smoke.
"BOOOM,"
Another massive explosion resounded in the field.
"He did it, Iruma did it!"
"He defeated him,"
"…"
Everyone looked at the explosion with mixt reaction.
Some like Iruma's friends and the civilians were rejoicing in the defeat of Akashi.
In the trees, other more experienced ninjas looked toward the massive explosion with more seriousness.
"It was a great move, good planning and perfect execution. He blocked all his escape routes, that attack would've put even a jonin in great difficulty,"
"He is really worthy of being a Uchiha, and the grandson of elder Mikami,"
"I hope the prince isn't too injured or it could create trouble for Konoha,"
Not far away from them, the young heir of the major clans looked at the event with attention.
"He seemed fine," Hizashi said deactivating his byakugan "In fact he is unarmed,"
"I'm not surprised," Shikaku said "You just have to look at his companion to deduce that,"
At his word, they looked toward Karin was was eating a snack with no care in the world about the state of Akashi
"woosh," cutting through the dust a sword slash flew toward a surprised Iruma.
"Substitution,"
In an instant, he changed place with a log that was immediately sliced in two.
"You dirtied my clothes stupid Uchiha, but I'm impressed that you managed to make me use those chains," The calm voice of Akashi resounded from the smoke.
"Those are training clothes they are supposed to get dirty and destroyed you stupid son of a bitch," Iruma screamed irritated as he saw Akashi emerge nearly intact from the dissipating smoke.
The only new thing was his clothes which were just a little dirtier and the four glowing chains behind his back,
"Ohh!" Karin exclaimed "He shouldn't have said that,"
She barely ended her sentence when they felt a massive wave of chakra wash over them
"Who the fuck did you call son of a bitch, you dumb fuck!"
"I'm going to slaughter you," Akashi exclaimed raising his sword as it absorbed his chakra
"Woosh," another sword slash rushed toward Iruma who avoided it.
But Iruma's feet barely touched the ground another slash flew toward him at even greater speed.
Using the body flicker Iruma avoided that slash, when as if on cue he flew toward him, then another, then another.
And the moment he landed on the ground a massive adamantine chain shouted out from the ground trying to impale him.
In an instant, the situation was reversed and Iruma was forced to use the body flicker at full speed in combination with his Sharingan at full power to escape the relentless and endless sword slashes of Akashi.
'How can he send so many chakra-consuming attacks like nothing, what the fuck are those damned chained,'
The spectators couldn't help but wipe out cold sweat as they saw the training field being reduced to rubble, they wondered how they would fare in Iruma's place between the slashes that threatened to slice him up and the chains attempting to impale him at every turn.
"What a monster!" someone exclaimed as they looked at the fight that had now transformed into what looked more like a one-sided beat down than a fight.
