Chereads / Uzumaki Akashi / Chapter 47 - Chapter 46: Nah, I win!

Chapter 47 - Chapter 46: Nah, I win!

Are you ready, Your Highness!" Iruma said taking his tanto out of its sheath and activating his sharingan.

'Sometimes I just want to do the same,'

He complained about seeing how his cousin proudly displayed his Sharingan before quickly changing his mind. After all, as a ninja, having a trump card can make all the difference.

Three glowing chains shout out of his back

"Ready!" he said taking a fighting stance with his two katana in hands,

The tension was palpable as everyone was holding their breath.

"Bang," cracks spread on the ground as they moved simultaneously,

"Clang," they meet in the center of the training field their weapons clashing against one another.

"Eh," Akashi avoiding eye contact was holding his weapons forming an X and smirking seeing Iruma struggling against his strength in the first clash.

It wasn't surprising as a Uzumaki he was physically stronger, and that truth had already been displayed in their last fight.

Using his strength he pinned Iruma on the ground and cracks spread at his feet.

Akashi's chains that were swaying and clanking behind his back suddenly shot toward the immobilized Iruma from above, left and right.

"Is that over?" someone asked seeing the situation

"It is disappointing!"

The civilians who saw the situation had the same opinions and even the ninjas agreed, when

"Clank,"

Under the stunned eyes of everyone present Akashi's swords were pushed away breaking his guard.

'Was I overpowered?' he pondered confused by the sudden change of situation.

But Iruma didn't give him any time capitalizing on the situation delivered a powerful horizontal slash.

"Poof,"

As the sword cut his body a cloud of smoke appeared and a log replaced him.

'Substitution,'

The spectators realized when Akashi reappeared a few meters away with a thin red line on his torso,

'He is injured?' some noticed in amazement.

'He overpowered Akashi, right!' Some ninjas noticed the fact that others would dismiss them.

During their fight a month ago even though he was much younger Akashi had overpowered Iruma, but this time he was the one being overpowered.

'He won the first exchange, impressive!'

The ninjas, particularly those who assisted at the first fight were impressed by the progress of Iruma.

Without letting Akashi rest Iruma was already on him, using his speed and, with the Sharingan ability to predict his opponent's moves and the Uchiha swordsmanship he was able to put pressure on his opponent.

Meanwhile, Akashi using his two-handed technic and the three chains on his back was akin to a whirlwind of destruction.

"clank, clank…"

"boom, boom…"

The two ninjas moved at great speed, and deadly precision while unleashing a spectacle of destruction.

They flickered at great all around the field at such speed that few ninjas managed to actually see them.

The only things that the citizens were able to see were the sparks flying everywhere and the ground being leveled mainly by Akashi's attack.

"Clang,"

They moved apart from each other, breathing heavily.

"HAAA..."

"Yes, you can do it Iruma!"

"Defeat him Akashi, I bet on you,"

"You are too handsome Akashi, marry me,"

"..."

The civilians started cheering for their preferred champion,"

On the field, Akashi and Iruma breathing heavily looked at each other with attention with Akashi always paying attention not to meet Iruma's eye.

Contrary to might guy who looked at Kakashi's feet he was looking at his chest.

Even after his first fight, he was able to accomplish it due to his great spiritual perception, and after only a month of fighting the Uchiha, he became an expert.

"They are really noisy," Akashi said looking toward Iruma

"They were laughing about you and the others Uchiha not long ago and now they seem to worship you, how fickle, don't you think?"

Iruma remained impassible to Akashi's words, he remained completely fixed on him.

'He remain indiferent,'

Akashi noticed that his little taunt was useless as Iruma was completely focused on him.

'He is much stronger than last time, I can't believe that he really reached my level in one month, what kind of hellish training my new grandfather subjected him to,'

Akashi thought looking at all the cuts all over his body Iruma moved first

"Shuriken style," he said throwing numerous shuriken toward Akashi at very tricky angles.

"Shuriken huh," Akashi smiled at that

"Tricky indeed but I already faced them multiple times," he said

having faced numerous Uchiha he became quite familiar with that and had developed numerous unique ways to stop those barrage of shuriken,

'This one is just for you!'

"Spinning chains"

The chain on his back started to spin like propellers forming shields all around him,

"Clank, clank..."

All the shurikens crashed on his chain before exploding.

A few pieces of debris bypassed his defense but the majority were deflected with only a few shards striking him,

"Minor injuries," he said eyes the shards of metal that barely managed to penetrate his skin.

Seeing Iruma take out another set of shuriken Akashi frown

'I guess he notices that even though we are fairly at the same level in close combat, with my physic he will be the one at a disadvantage in the long run,'

'Now you are trying to stay in a safe distance, well I won't play by your rule,'

Akashi though launching himself toward Iruma,

"Fire style: Burning shuriken"

In an instant, the shuriken now coated with a layer of flame from the fire that Iruma spit speed toward Akashi.

"Ha," Akashi was stunned for a second seeing those fire shuriken

'I'm starting to get how annoying the Sharingan can be,' he thought, as a possessor of the Sharingan himself he knew why Iruma was able to predict his move so well.

"Piercing chains" This time the adamantine chains were moving like drills

Under the eyes of everyone, most of the flaming shurikens were deflected but a few managed to land on Akashi's body who ignored them before once again engaging Iruma in close combat all over the field.

Iruma was on the defensive, even though his Sharingan allowed him to bypass Akashi's assault.

"Crip,"

The chains ripped apart every obstacle that was on Akashi's path.

Iruma breathed harshly, his clothes were damaged, and he had multiple injuries from sword slashes from the effect of the chains that incessantly rained hell upon him.

Despite all that he remained resolute and firm even though he was pushed back.

"Those kids are real monsters, this level of fighting is above the level of a simple Jonin"

An anbu looking at the fight from his hiding place said to his comrades who agreed.

"Particularly the Uzumaki,"

While they all had their eyes on the destruction caused by Akashi, their leader wearing the one with a tanto on his back and white hairs revealing his Identity as Sakumo Hatake had the eyes fixed on the struggling Iruma.

"This Uchiha kid has immense potential," he said calmly attracting the attention of his companion.

"The fight has been going on for more than ten minutes now and despite Akashi's relentless assault Iruma didn't make any mistake."

"Not once did he get touched by Akashi's chains or the fight would've been over by now,"

"It is because of his Sharingan," one of them argued

"You are at the level or you should know that the Sharingan isn't everything,"

Sakumo's response shut them up, after all, they knew it was the truth,

"I never knew that the adamantine chains could be used like that," another of the ninjas said

"They can't, not usually, we had quite a few contacts with the Uzumaki, and even at the war and on the brink of death I never saw one of them use the adamantine chains like this kid,"

"What's the difference?"

"First their sizes, the adamantine chains are massive even if not particularly for kids, they are hard to manipulate, and consume a massive amount of chakra even for an Uzumaki this is why most Uzumaki use them for one-time attacks, create barriers, and seals the chakra of their enemy,"

The gaze returned toward Akashi, who was using them like drills to pursue Iruma, who once again managed to bypass them for a second by having his attack stopped by Akashi's katanas.

"He is using them as precisely as his hands,"

"People usually think that fighting a Uchiha is hell but imagine fighting that, the simple force of those chains is usually enough to end a fight,"

"Those ones are spinning making them faster and stronger to that had the fact that at the slightest mistake, you would find yourself incapable of using your chakra,"

"It must be some kind of hell in itself,"

They all stayed silent for a long moment looking at Iruma with new appreciation,

On the ground Iruma was panting heavily with a knee on the ground, his state clearly showed that he was at his limit.

"You did much better than last time, but I'm still going to win this one," Akashi said, approaching cautiously his adversary. All the injuries he had sustained and the chakra that he had burned showed that it wasn't an easy fight.

"Fire style: great fireball,"

Iruma shouted as he lifted his head launching a massive ball of fire at Akashi who was a meter away from him.

'You won't be able to avoid the explosion at that distance either,' Akashi thought as he moved in an instant.

"Sword style: The cross," He said sending two powerful chakra slashes splitting it into four parts.

He had barely done it when he saw Iruma burst through the flame toward him.

'Using your fire as cover is not bad,' Akashi thought after all the fire of an attack like the fireball of the Uchiha is a lot hotter than ordinary flame.

"But I was waiting for something like that,"

With that two chains moved toward Iruma in the air.

In this situation he couldn't avoid the attack, but when it did.

"Poof,"

'A clone!' Akashi realized

But something even more surprising occurred

'A clone of shuriken! Since when do they have something like that,' he thought as he deflected them while searching for Iruma.

"Behind, classic,"

He sends his chains to intercept Iruma.

"Bang," he saw Iruma being slammed away by his chain

"I win again," Akashi thought nearly nonchalantly when he felt a cold sensation on his neck.

"Nah, I win!"
