Chapter 31 - Chapter 30: Opportunity

Tartarus

Tartarus was the most harsh place that you could think of, so harsh that after their defeat the gods put the Titans there as punishment.

And even those massively powerful beings that ruled the world for thousands of years could survive there, if a mortal were to fall here by accident he would melt away in a matter of seconds it is how toxic that place is.

And yet right now in this hell something incredible was happening.

A town was being built, a city built by Titans to house other Titans, you could imagine the size of the structures.

It was completely different from the previous dirty crude barely standing construct that served as shelter.

They had been replaced by house massives sturdy, well made, and beautifully crafted, a model of Titans ingenuity.

It had been a week since Maeron had convinced the Titans to submit to him, and their situation had massively changed for the better.

Now the previously raggedy and weak Titans due to decades of constant exposure to the tortuous environment of Tartarus, barely able to use their divine powers with some stuck in human or Titanid form had now regained their former strength.

Not only had they regained their former strength they no longer even feared losing, as they were now resistant to the devastation that one would usually suffer from the chaotic energy ambient.

It was one of Maeron's advantages that the authority over Tartaros provided, he could make this hell a livable place for his subordinates.

It was a massive advantage that he was making full use of as not only did it give the Titans a massive advantage it also made them revere him as the god that he was after all he was the one who freed them from the constant pain and agony that they endured every day.

Maeron wearing a white Toga was standing in front of a glass window in a massive flying castle looking at his subject and reminiscing about his actions of this past week and reflecting on his future plans.

With the authority over Tartarus that he received from Typhoon Maeron became immune from the nefast effect of the chaotic energy circulating in the air.

More than just immune he could weld it not nearly as easily as his divine energy, but with time he knew it would come.

But there were things that he could instinctively do with it and one of those things was to allow those under him to resist the effect of the chaos energy in the air.

"They seem so full of life again, I never thought that I would one day see my brothers and sisters so at peace, here in Tartaros,"

Eden standing a little behind was Eden with a few documents in hand.

"Thank you, my lord," he said presenting Maeron with the paper that he had in hand.

"You need to stop with that, it's starting to get annoying, just make sure to focus on doing a good job, that's it," he replied starting to review the document in hand.

'One hundred seven Titans in total here, other than Eden, Erion, and Lena, there are two others that can be considered high level, and the other is mostly comparable to a god of middle rank even if Titans are in general stronger than gods, it's a given that I need more,' Maeron thought as he looked at another paper.

"I see, has the repartitions been done?"

He asked putting the papers aside as he looked at the three of them with a serious expression.

"Everyone is ready. Come in!" Lena said and about half of the total number of Titans arrived in the room.

"They are your soldiers, my king, command them and they will obey,"

Nodding toward them Maeron walked toward the Titans and examined them for a moment, tension growing in the room.

The Titans tensed fearing not being worthy in the eyes of their saviors, but their fears disappeared when they saw the smile finally appear on his face.

"Very good! I always knew that the average titans were stronger than the average god, and I'm happy to be proven right."

"Some of you may already know the reason why you have been brought before me, but I will say it again like you I spent hundreds of years trapped by the will of my dear father and his people like you, and I know what it is like this is why I came here to free you and created this place where you can be safe,"

"But you know that if they realized that we created it here they will come to destroy it and to prevent it we need strength and people, people ready to fight, this is why I'm sending you in the will to find, rally and bring others of your bothers and sisters here to share our paradise and help us protect it,"

"Can I count on you?!" He asked

"YEAH, OF COURSE SIR..."

The Titans started to scream in agreement and fervor.

Soon after the groups of Titans could be seen flying away in the gray sky of Tartarus while others took their Titanid form and transformed into massive beings as they slowly made their way toward the diverse settlements known.

At the same time, other Titans were sent to explore the wilderness and find new settlements to bring into the fold.

In his office, MAeron looked at the Titans leaving with satisfaction.

"Soon we will have enough power to face the gods, my king," Eden said looking at Maeron with fervor.

"Yes! Now let's go," Maeron said, "We can't let them have all the fun right,"

With that Maeron, Lena, Erion, and Eden flew away in opposite directions toward different settlements already identified.

Maeron had already distributed the targets and each of them was tasked to conquer a settlements by themself in a certain time.

Human realm

In Maeron sanctuary out of sight of everyone, particularly of the gods

Orus one of Maeron's subordinates had assembled what could be described as an army, all of them were men and women who had sworn allegiance to Maeron.

"Morning everyone a lot of you are all followers of our king and god, all of you have been training relentlessly for a long time in the hope of elevating your statue, finding purpose in life, for revenge, and many more,"

"Today all of you are here for a demonstration, a demonstration of the opportunity provided to you by our lord,"

After he said that a group of men and women of all sizes and shapes were brought in the place.

"Those people, are the descendants of the gods, they have been captured by those powerful warriors," he said throwing some stacks of papers toward the people in front of him he continued

"Those are the list of the crimes that they did, to you, your families, and other innocent people,"

he then started to call the names of the peoples who captured those descendants of gods to come to stand in front of those they captured.

"Today you have been brought here for a demonstration, you will be given an opportunity by the one you have chosen to follow, some of you have already received that gift directly from our lord, this is not due to any preferential treatment he would have done the same for anyone else, unfortunately, he had other things that require his attention,"

While he was talking daggers were distributed to those who had captured the half-gods

"This is why you will need to seize your own opportunity, proceed."

With the eyes of everyone, the warriors stab those half-gods under the stunned eyes of the army some who looked at them in disbelief and others in disgust as they disagreed with those actions.

But soon after their eyes widen in disbelief as under the eyes of the others the daggers plunged into the body of the half-gods.

The unfortunate half-gods started to scream in pain as a part of their very being was stripped from them.

The daggers started to glow, each had different colors, representing the individuality of everyone.

A moment later the energy that was stolen from those half-gods was transfered into the bodies of the warriors that had captured them.

"Bang, bam," under the eyes of everyone some of the warriors received extraordinary powers, some felt their strength being multiplied others started to fly and others had other elements instinctively appear on their hands.

Everyone looked at them in amazement, stupefaction, and greed wishing that they were at their place.

"How is that possible?"

One of the Half gods still alive but on the brink of death asked in disbelief.

He looked at one of the warriors with fire in his hand unable to understand what was happening that energy was clearly his and it was being integrated into someone else.

"How come I was never able to use a power like that," the sentiment was echoed by the other.

"You all have questions let me answer them, the reason you were never able to use those powers is because the gods didn't allow it, they sealed them after all if all of the children that they fathered were to awaken their powers their ruled would ne threaten,"

Orus explains illuminating the mind of everyone present while the half-gods looked in disbelief the armies of Maeron saw hope.

"But our god is giving us an opportunity," looking at his men he spread his hand and staked of papers containing the information of several half-gods and others fell.

"Found your target capture them and you will have the opportunity to ascend to heights that you never thought possible, but be warned you! You aren't the only one at the research of those opportunities others already preceded you, so go, and may the grace of the god Maeron be with you."
