Chapter 54 - New Weapon (1)

NEW WEAPON (1)

It has already been 2 days, yet Syton still hasn't opened his eyes. Stalane already let him drank a bunch of red potion, but it still won't wake him up.

Stalane sighed as she observed Syton peacefully sleeping on bed. She doesn't know what else she could do to wake him up. Even after she tried to slap his face a couple of times, it still didn't worked.

"I still couldn't leave him even after I successfully completed this subquest with this man. All the loots and rewards are still with me after all" she grumbled.

Stalane stood up from the chair and walked towards the door. When she opened the door, Kaleigh was standing there.

"You took too long to get here" Stalane blankly said as if she has been awaiting for his arrival.

"Sorry. I needed to do some other urgent stuff"

Stalane shook her head. She didn't really mind if he took his time a bit longer or even if he didn't come. She would still figure something out to wake Syton up by herself. But she wouldn't dare to deny that with Kaleigh's help, everything would make things much more easier.

Stalane didn't bother to Kaleigh on how he knew where they were. With Kaleigh's current rank, he surely have a lot of things under his sleeves.

She opened the door wide enough for Kaleigh to enter. Kaleigh didn't hesitate to walk inside. He just checked for Syton for a second before pulling something out of his inventory. A purple potion then suddenly appeared on his hand.

Stalane waited for Kaleigh's explanation while she watched him make Syton drink the potion.

"Plegha used a powerful spell in which Syton wouldn't be able to wake up for 5 days. Thus, 3 or more purple potion is needed. Depending on how the purple potion is refined, one purple potion might also be enough".

Stalane didn't need to ask any more questions, as Syton finally wakes up after a few second getting a sip of that purple potion. Indeed, what Kaleigh have must have a really strong concentrated purple potion.

"Kaleigh? What are you doing here?"

"I think you already know that I won't give my thanks. This is something you were obligated to do after all the things that you've done" Stalane said ignoring the awake Syton on the side.

"I don't know what you mean, as I only did on how both of you wanted it to be. You clearly didn't want any of my help, since you said the two of you are already capable enough. Besides you don't trust me yet. But, okay" Kaleigh yielded.

Syton who got ignored and just woke up, figured some of things that's currently happening. It seemed that for some certain reason, he was able to safely get out of that monster's hands and with Kaleigh's help he was also able to recover fully.

But what Syton fully understand, in spite of the hundreds of questions he still have, is that Stalane is really adorable with her flushed cheeks from being embarrassed possibly because of what Kaleigh just said.

With that, Syton couldn't help but to laugh loudly at the sight of the two. Stalane glared at Syton, but he still continued to laugh.

Stalane decided to ignore him and brought out all the rewards that they've got from the quest. "Since you are finally awake, let's split this up. I still have some things I need to do"

"Hmm, okay. Let's see," Syton says as he checked the items or icons and the cards that were laid out on the bed.

It took them a couple of minutes to split up the loots and rewards. Stalane picked up the book that wasn't been split between them yet.

"I'll take this, you could have all the 3 gems and that alsword in exchange"

"Hmm? In that case, you should also have some of this gems. It wouldn't be fair if I have the weapon and the gems and you only get that skill book"

Stalane shook her head in disapprovement. "The Alsword wouldn't be useful if you don't have that 3 green gems. You could use that gems to refine that sword."

Syton stared at her for a second before looking down on the sword that he is currently holding.

"But what could refining do to this sword? Riki told me that this sword was supposed to have a cool flavour text but when I looked at it, there was none"

🔸 Icon Name: Alsword (3H)

🔸 Class Required : Any Warrior class except monk and samurai.

🔸 Rank Required: 5H

🔸Flavour Text: None

"Is that how it looks for you?" Stalane asked in confusion as she have read something else beyond that "none" part on the flavour text that Syton mentioned.

🔸 Icon Name: Alsword (3H)

🔸 Class Required : Any Warrior class except monk and samurai.

🔸 Rank Required: 5H

🔸Flavour Text: None (A legendary sword that was disguised as an ordinary sword. It was broken centuries years ago, but a great man came and revived it with his unbelievably and unknown magic? ** ***** ***** ** ****** ** **** ** **** ***** *** ** *** **. ******* ***** ****** ____________)

The rest of the flavour text inside the parenthesis were blurred or blank. Stalane concluded that it might've been affected based on how low or high her notitia level are still at.

Regardless of the flavour text she have read, ordinary sword or not, that was not the reason why Stalane got amazed on the sword. Stalane does not believe on a sword being legendary or ordinary, she assessed weapons base on its possible capabilities. After all, using weapons were already been part of her whole life.

"Never mind the flavour text, since I don't judge weapons on their history but base on how they'll serve their purpose for me. What I am saying is that this sword actually have a great potential. I don't know how it works for a game, but personally I think if this weapon actually gets perfectly sharpened enough or been properly taken care of, I would say that you wouldn't have to worry on looking for another weapon. Of course, this sword will only be good if the owner uses it properly." Stalane explained as her eyes are full of envy and admiration to the sword.

"If it's not only because of the restriction on the class, I would've probably stole it from you" she continued.

Syton laughed, "Haha, is that so?"

Kaleigh, who was also listening to Stalane's explanation, were amazed by how she appraised the sword. If Kaleigh didn't knew better, he would also probably give up on that sword. However, behind that ordinary looking sword, also lies a legendary sword that only few people could figure it out. That is why, Kaleigh was amazed that Stalane was able to tell a little bit of the sword's potential.
