ILLUSION
Stalane stopped and watched how Syton went over where the 8 bravers were. She was itching to go and help him not until she saw how Syton winked at her.
The 8 bravers noticed someone was approaching them. "Who's that guy?" one of the 8 bravers asked.
"Who cares? Just get rid of him!" another one said.
Syton smiled in excitement before he uttered, "notitia". After that, he learned that two girls are both an Enchanter who have a name of Sia and Vien, a girl named Jane is a Shaman, while another girl named Oreen is a summoner, and the last girl named Jen is an illusionist. He also identified that the 3 remaining boys are named Red, Luck and Pierce. Red and Luck is a Thief while Pierce is a Hunter.
Different strategies were starting to form in Syton's mind while he read the information. But most of the strategies always shows that he's in disadvantage. Nevertheless, he still decided to follow one of the strategy he formed which he thought was the best.
"Wooden sword orv" Syton whispered as a wooden sword appeared on his hand. He jumped at Luck's shoulder and knocked Oreen off so she wouldn't be able to summon any Dera.
Syton's movements were too fast and straightforward. The 8 bravers were caught in surprise and were not able to react. They watched how Oreen fell unconsciously on the ground.
"Jane!" the guy named Red shouted at Jane as if signaling her what to do. Jane nodded. She closed her eyes as she whispered something.
"Tch" Syton clicked his tongue as he noticed that the 2 weapon class surrounded him and the 2 enchanter girls are ready to support Red and Luck.
"3 Misl Frog card and 2 Green boar card orv" Syton whispered as 5 cards appeared on his hands. He looked at the upper left corner of the cards he hold and sighed when he saw how low rank the card is, "Just give me a little amount of time"
Syton stared at Jen before he said, "Qio!". After he said a Lyrion word, the 5 cards that was originally on his hands become a living Dera.
Sia, Vien, Red and Luck was now busy to deal with the 5G to 4G ranked Deras that Syton summoned using the cards he collected during the time he was hunting to train. The Deras he summoned was not as powerful as what Oreen could possibly summoned but Syton hoped that its enough to buy him enough time to deal with Jen.
Syton immediately ran towards Jen after he released his 5 cards. Syton kicked Jen on her stomach, which made her flew backwards. Syton followed her but Jen immediately summoned an illusion which confused Syton for a minute. Jen used this time to stand back firmly on the ground and positioned herself as if she's ready to defend herself. Syton smiled before he approached Jen to strike her with his sword.
Jen angrily looked at him but Syton just playfully smiled as he challenged her, "Do it"
While Syton was focusing at Jen, Jane finally summoned her spirits. She used that chance to attack Syton on his back.
Syton who was not able to notice the spirits took damage. He turned around as he jumped to evade the other attacks from the spirits.
Jen whispered a spell as she accepted Syton's taunt. Syton smiled when he noticed this.
"Good luck escaping from this nightmare!" Jen said as she released an illusion.
Stalane who was watching from afar whistled as she saw how 8 bravers fell to sleep, including Syton.
But after 5 minutes of waiting, Syton woke up. He also tried to call back the 5 cards he used but he realized that most of them are already defeated. He then looked around and noticed that there were only 7 bravers on the ground. Pierce was not there!
"Red potion Orv, Qio!" Syton whispered as his HP slowly regenerate caused by the potion.
"Should I look for him?" Syton asked himself but after a little time of contemplating he shook his head in disapproval.
"It's too dangerous. These guys might wake up before I could even find him" Syton said as he run towards the direction where he was supposed to meet Stalane.
Stalane followed Syton towards east. Stalane arrived first. "You're quick" Stalane complimented him regarding on how Syton finished the bravers quickly.
Syton willingly accepted its compliment as he smiled, "Well, I just gambled that the illusionist was a newbie who doesn't know how to handle its spell properly. The result then would be that she would also affect herself and her comrades with her spell."
"How'd you get out from her illusion?" Stalane asked.
Syton bragged, "Well, the guild that I temporarily staying with have a rank 1G illusionist. We duel sometimes for fun"
After some bragging, a moment of silence could be heard between the both of them. Syton and Stalane then put on a serious face. "He followed us, didn't he?" Syton asked Stalane for confirmation since she's the one who could sense better than him.
Stalane glanced at her side with her peripheral view and Syton took that as her answer.
Syton then sighed as he comfortably sat down on the ground. "I'm tired. Go deal with your co-class hunter"
Stalane picked up a stone from the ground. "These guys are really a bother. I thought of ignoring them so they won't get hurt" she said as she shook her head.
"Well, I guess a little damage should be fine" She continued before she flicked the stones on her hands towards Pierce who followed them.
Pierce stared at the stone that fastly approaching his head. Before he could even dodge, the stone already hit his head. Blood drips from his forehead as he got dizzy. Slowly, he unconsciously fell on the ground.
"So? Who were they? Why won't you defeat them on your own? I bet with your skills and strength you could be able to handle them on your own" Syton asked a multiple questions right off the bat.
Stalane stared at Syton for a while as if analyzing if he could be trusted. "Apparently, they are bravers who received a main quest to get a piece of my body."
Syton furrowed his brows as if he could not believe at what he heard.
"I see" that's the only words that Syton could reply.
"So? Why couldn't you handle them on your own?" He continuedly asked.
"I was about to but then you came and told me that you'd help, so I just let you do the job. I intentionally let them attack me earlier so I could get more information out of them but I suddenly saw you approaching the area" Stalane truthfully answered.
Syton was left speechless. Was he just been used?
