Certain types of magic are outlawed among elves and are considered to be breaches of the Law of their God. Fortune telling is forbidden to the elves. The law of the elves also forbids sexual relationships between the same sex. Marriage is most necessary for a man and woman. But a man can love another man he just can't proform the act with him or he will have to be excommunicated. If a man kills someone he is to be executed or to serve life in prison. If someone touches a child inappropriately he is to be executed or serve life in prison. The elves are the chosen people of their God so they must be different they have dietary restrictions that restrict them from eating red meat but they dont all do this. The elves are also to follow strict rules for becoming a priest. You need to go through a purification process known as a mystical baptism where magic water cleanses a person of their wrongs from before. A preist must not be a sexual deviant he must either take a vow of chastity or must raise all his kids faithfully. A preist must also learn the elven language. Do not harm anyone unless they are attacking you. Do not enslave anyone. Try to make peace with everyone. Do not start pointless wars in the name of your God. Sing to your God and he will hear you. If one of you practices unnatural magic you shall be killed. If you curse another person you shall be cursed. Love everyone even those who do not follow these laws for they are still as loved by God as everyone else.
