Chapter 124 - Revenge

At this moment, the Daron sensed energy being released from his right, and immediately stopped walking and turned to that direction.

'Hehe, finally found one!' A grin appeared on Daron's face and the feeling of taking revenge was filling up his mind. Although it was almost impossible for the people here to be the ones who had ambushed his group initially, he still wished to beat the shit out of someone to vent his frustration from having had to run away like a rat in the sewer.

"This way, and stay alert. Do not use any magic or internal energy until I give the signal. There is a pretty large fight going on here, most likely, an airship should be around here."

As the group moved closer, the rest of them also began to sense the energy fluctuations, and became increasingly alert.

Soon enough, Daron and the others could see the entire situation. As it turned out, that the large amount of spells being slung around had caused the fog in the area to thin considerably, allowing them to see much more of the situation.

There was indeed an airship, however, it was completely different from the one Daron had used to get here. It was about 3 times larger, and the wood used in its construction was a rich black colour with a menacing aura being released from it.

'It shouldn't be black mages right? Why would they be here. The old man said that black mages were wanted by all other mages. This should be dark mages then…' Daron quickly came to an optimistic conclusion and paid more attention to the situation.

On top of the airship were a group of people, launching spells at another group who were on the ground, just below the ship.

Clearly, this ship was in a much better position compared to the one that Daron had landed on, making raiding the ship a lot harder due to the height.

The people on the ship were just casually launching spells like fireballs, without any concern, while those on the ground were busy dodging and spells, and trying to throw their own spells at the ship, only to fail to get the spells high enough.

The ship itself was almost 30 metres above the ground, and even Daron's spells would not reach that high, the furthest he could reach in height was 20 metres. This was because gravity would slow down and inevitably pull back his spell, like what would happen to a ball. On the other hand, the spells from the ship were moving with gravity and thus were not only unaffected, but also had their speed greatly increased.

Clearly, height was a great advantage in terms of casting spells at the apprentice level.

There were still around 4 hours left before the teleportation gate would be opened, and therefore, Daron decided to let everyone rest for some time, especially Charles and his gang, who had just recovered from being unconscious.

After an hour, more and more people arrived at this location, however, they were not able to do anything due to the height difference. At this moment, Daron decided to take action. He hid his energy within himself and moved swiftly while keeping his body profile close to the ground, and unsurprisingly, someone spotted him. However, by then, it was simply too late, and Daron had already reached the group of people on the ground.

He did not waste time or energy to knock the people out, since there were too many, and the groups of people had already turned their attention towards him. Previously, there were 4 groups of 20 people each that had arrived here one at a time, however, by now, the number of groups had increased to 6, but only 10 people per group, since many people died to each other and from those spells falling from the ship.

His entire body was oozing with excitement as he used a technique that he had not used in a long time: Fury Fist.

It was one of the first techniques he had learned, but in the end, he had never actually used it in combat, only practicing with it. Naturally, the old man had also bought him some rather strong techniques, however, the more techniques he learned, the stranger it was.

Although all of the techniques were of higher tiers than Fury Fist, they somehow produced weaker effects than Fury Fist, despite being improved and optimised by Sirious. Somehow, Fury Fist seemed to have the best effect on his Internal Energy, directly improving his capability by 6 times, while even the best techniques bought by the old man and improved by Sirious could only increase his fighting power by 3 times.

Therefore, despite knowing nearly 34 other techniques, he decided to stick with Fury Fist for the time being.

His Intermediate Rank Internal Energy coalesced in his right fist. However, no one on the outside could observe what he was doing. It looked like he was just throwing a random punch at the air.

However, just as he struck, a crisp crack was heard by everyone present, as though something literally broke the air.
