However, just as Daron struck, a crisp crack was heard by everyone present, as though something literally broke the air.
That was the speed at which his hand was moving.
Daron did not fully complete the technique and did not launch his Internal Energy at the enemies in front of him, instead, just letting the powerful force of the punch scare the whits out of the people in front of him.
His power was already at the Level of a Rank 13 Knight, and with the semi-completed Fury Fist, the power he displayed was at the peak of a Rank 2 Beast. He had not launched his Internal energy outwards, and so, his punch was essentially his physical prowess, that was nearing the peak of a Rank 2 beast.
Of course, everything would be far more horrifying if he were to unleash Bloodline Inheritance. But why would he do that, with the likelihood of multiple Mages watching over this situation.
Therefore, the strike he unleashed only seemed like it was released with pure physical strength alone, and not Internal Energy.
A thunderous gale was formed, starting from his fist and spreading in a fan shape, causing all the spells that were being launched from both below and above to change direction. Some of the weaker Mages even lost their footing and fell flat onto the ground.
However, the wind was just a shockwave he had purposefully created by resonating his hand with the wind, and not because his hand was moving faster than the speed of sound. Therefore, it merely lasted for a second, but after that second, all spells had been stopped from being launched, both from below and above, and the entire scene was covered in a deafening silence.
"Alright then, since everyone has calmed down, let me explain one thing to you guys. Me and my group of 12 will be joining this ship. Those who are on the ship already, make the choice and ensure that only 8 people are present."
In fact, Daron had already made sure that there were only 6 people remaining on the ship.
After this statement, Daron signalled to his group to come forward, before picking each person up, and throwing them onto the ship one by one. In the end, Charles, Doug, and Patrice were remaining, and he picked up the three of them over his shoulder, like they were sacks of potatoes or something, and leapt onto the ship, leaving the entire ground in awkward silence.
The people present wanted to stop him, but they did not want to be the ones to do it. After all, Daron was simply too powerful. Soon enough, some of the people present simply gave up in search for another airship that is located in a better location to attack, and did not have a monster guarding it.
β¦
On the airship itself, there were not 18 people in total.
"Alright, since the total number is 18, we do not need to worry about anything." Daron said before turning to the 6 people who were already present on the ship.
"You guys can continue to defend the ship. If a problem arises, contact me. If nothing important happens, do not disturb me."
He then turned his attention to his group and called them into the lower decks of the ship, and once they were far enough from the ones who were previously on the ship, he whispered.
"Doug, keep an eye on the ground situation. Patrice, keep an eye on those guys who were on the ship before us. Charles, you can help her with your ground. Rudolf, keep an eye on everyone"
This was a naked threat directed mainly towards Charles to keep him in line, after all, he was in the end someone captured by Daron.
After that, he simply left everything to them and picked a random room, before going to sleep. In the past few days, he had been on edge and not gotten too much sleep. Although that did not affect him too much, it was still better to get some rest before they leave this place.
Daron had a feeling that although their current predicament was dangerous, something much more dangerous was waiting for them when they reached the organisation that this airship belonged to.
