"How long have I been out?" Damian asked as he looked around the medical room. The nurse looked at him in surprise before smiling at him.
"You've been out for a few weeks now." She explained and she stopped him from getting off of the bed, "You still need to rest."
"How is Grace doing?" He asked as he laid back down and she gave him an upset look, "What happened?"
"She woke up a few days after being admitted since her damage wasn't nearly as bad as yours and she demanded to be allowed to go back out after she recovered." She explained and he raised an eyebrow as anger filled her eyes, "Michael allowed her to and she missing."
"What?!" Damian asked as he jumped to the floor and she put her hand on his shoulder, "Where's my stuff?"
"Your clothes are on the table over there and Michael had your sword confiscated to prevent you from going after her." She explained and she could feel his anger begin to shake the room, "Please calm down. You could reopen your wounds and Michael made sure to put your sword in Heaven's most heavily guarded armory until he decides you're ready to listen to sense. I don't think it's right but I can't defy his orders."
"What's your name?" Damian asked her as the room stopped shaking, "I know you're not just a nurse or you wouldn't question my father."
"My name's Sofia and you're right I'm not just a nurse. I'm a high ranking soldier of Heaven that was ordered to watch over you." Sofia explained and Damian nodded his head, "You're going aren't you?"
"Yeah. Where's the armory?" Damian asked and she sighed knowing she couldn't stop him, "I want you to leave before this starts. I can tell you're being genuine and even in Heaven that's rare."
"It's a few floors below Heaven's main military building where Michael spends most of his time now. The building is hard to miss." Sofia told him as she began to walk towards the door, "I'll tell the guards you're trying to get away so they don't know that I'm helping you."
"That's fine." Damian said as she left the room and a few minutes later he heard a group running towards his room. As soon as the door opened he slammed an angel's head against the adjacent wall of the hallway, causing cracks in it. Blue blades of light hit the chest of the other guards as an alarm began to wail and the light went out. He could see several soldiers running towards him as the red emergency lights came on. They stopped as a wall of blue blades appeared in front of Damian and he launched the barrage at the soldiers. He sprinted past them as they put shields up and crashed through a wall leading outside. His wings appeared as fell towards the ground and rocketed towards the military building. A blue sword of energy formed in his hands as he closed in on the building and he flew through the front door of the large building. Damian cut through the soldiers in the entrance room and began to follow the signs leading to the armory.
"What's going on?!" Michael asked as he ran into the control room and he saw Damian taking down soldiers with ease on the security cameras, "Dammit!"
"Get the fuck out of my way!" Damian yelled at the group of soldiers with shields block his path. He dropped kicked one of the shields and caused them to fall to the ground.
"Where's he heading?!" Michael asked the angel sitting in front of him.
"It seems he's heading for the armory sir!" The angel yelled and Michael ran out of the room. He saw bodies covering the halls as he sprinted full speed towards the armory and he saw Damian standing in front of the cut open vault door with his sword.
"You need to stop right now!" Michael yelled at him and Damian gave him a cold look.
"You should have known better than to get in my way." Damian told him as readied his sword, "You knew this would end up with death but you took that chance anyways."
"If you don't come with me then you'll never be allowed back into Heaven!" Michael told him and Damian seemed uncaring, "You can't go looking for Grace if you don't know where to start!"
"War and Famine have her and that's all I need to know." Damian said as he opened a rift and took one last look at his father before stepping through. Michael hit the wall and caused a massive hole in it as Sofia and several soldiers reached him.
"I know you had something to do with this Sofia." Michael said as he walked towards her with anger in his eyes and she took a step back from him. Suddenly another rift opened and Damian pulled her through. Michael was surprised by that and his anger turned into dread. He knew what was about to happen and he was sure if he was ready to lose anyone else.
