"So that's Charlie?" Damian asked as he watched her sing on the TV in the store window, "She's definitely one of a kind."
"Is this bitch serious?" A demon to his left said and Damian silently glanced at him before returning his gaze to the news. His eyes widened as a bomb in front of the store and he got away just before it blew the store apart. He looked over and saw that the fight on the news had made its way to where he was. He jumped to the roof of a building and watched the demons fight.
"I guess this year's extermination opened up some Overlord seats." Damian said to himself as he sat on the edge of the roof and watched the battle. When the fight settled down he saw a white limousine pick up the white demon that was fighting and begin to drive away. Damian looked at the blood red sky and thought about what Lucifer had asked. Charlie would probably need some help with her hotel and he really didn't have anything better to do. He jumped from the building and called a taxi to bring him to the Happy Hotel.
The Hotel:
"Well that's strange." Damian said as he watched Alastor walk into the hotel. He knocked on the door and a light purple demon opened it.
"My name is Damian." He told her politely and held his hand out. She was surprised by his politeness and shook his hand.
"I'm Vaggie and I help Charlie run this hotel." Vaggie said with a smile just as Alastor started to sing, "You don't plan on doing anything bad here do you?"
"I'm here to talk to Charlie about something very important." Damian explained as he watched the spectacle in front of him, "Can I speak with her as soon as possible please?"
"Uh yeah, I'll go get her right now." Vaggie told him with a bit of confusion before quickly getting Charlie. She ran over to Damian with a sparkle in her eyes.
"Welcome to the Happy Hotel!" Charlie said happily as she held her hand out, "Vaggie said you had something important you needed to talk about?"
"My name is Damian and I'm the son of Michael Magne." Damian explained, "That makes me your cousin."
"I have a cousin?!" Charlie asked in complete surprise, "Wait that means your an angel!"
"I'm a Nephilim." Damian explained as he sat on the couch, "I'm half human, half angel."
"Oh you're quite the rarity!" Alastor said as he closely examined him, "May I ask why someone like you is in hell?"
"Fuck the angels." Damian told him with a calm expression, "I don't care for heaven and hell is somewhere I can be free."
"Why do you hate the angels?" Charlie asked and Damian's face turned serious, "If it's a sore subject then you don't have to tell us."
"Let's just say I want nothing to do with them and I'm willing to help with your hotel but I have no intention of being reformed." Damian explained and Charlie gave him an excited look. Suddenly the door was blown off of its hinges and flew straight towards Charlie and Vaggie. They closed their eyes and waited for the impact but it never came.
"Damian..." Charlie said as they saw that his pearl white wings had guarded them from the door. His wings disappeared and they walked outside to see why the door had exploded.
"Oh not this asshole again." Angel said as the serpent demon started a monologue none of them were listening to. The airship began to charge a large cannon in front of them but Alistor opened a portal under it and several black tentacles began to wrap around it. They pulled the airship into the ground and it slammed shut, putting an end to the assault as fast as it had started.
"Well I'm starved! Allow me to show all of you my mother's jambalaya recipe!" Alastor told them as he began to walk back into the hotel. Vaggie turned around and saw that Damian was looking into the distance with a very serious face before he turned to face her.
"I have to go handle something. Let everyone else know I'll be back shortly." Damian told her and left before she could say anything. She was worried about why he had left so suddenly but went to do what he asked.
