Panaceae, the cure for all diseases and the Theory of Everything started the Second Grand Synthesis in the Pre-Fallout Era.

Project Panaceae started as an attempt to create vaccine for HIV.

HIV attacked the immunity system itself, so some brilliant doctors thought of the idea of making the vaccine without the virus itself, but a replacement so that immunity system able to recognise and attack HIV similar to how smallpox vaccine granted immunity to pox itself in the first vaccine.

It was the time of the Covid-19 Pandemy when the world needed to create some vaccine to combat said disease, and doctors in research was distressed at how they can't create vaccine quickly.

A vaccine that's quick to make, without the ability to inflict diseases, made only so that immunity system able to react to the real virus once they enter human's body.

A doctor in HIV vaccine research begin to question how HIV was able the recognise T-cell for its' prey, and from then he questioned how human immunity system was able to recognise viruses and other malignant factors, and even questioned how self-immunity diseases developed.

He questioned human immunity system's identification friend or foe (IFF) system.

He think of a solution for the vaccine problem:

If you can study how immunity system's IFF works, you'll be able to know which part of the viruses like HIV and Covid-19 is identifiable to the immunity system, so theoritically you'll be able to extricate said part (and just that part) and inject them to other, not so malignant virus through gene manipulation techniques so you'll have a replacement for HIV and other viruses, similar to how smallpox replace pox in introducing immunity in the first vaccine, but by selecting not so malignant virus (a dud virus) to inject with you'll be able to make a harmless vaccine. And should we build a virus database of the immunity system IFF ID system, we'll be able to build a literal Anti Virus to combat all viruses and other malignant factors.

A Panaceae.

He put his thought into a public proposal, so an international program was created to fulfill his ambition - The Panaceae Project.

After some experiments, the project created their first product: the HIV cure.

The doctors didn't dare to build immunity with their HIV vaccine but made it into a cure for those already infected with AIDS. They injected dud virus modified with HIV ID into some AIDS patients, lots of modified dud viruses so that immunity system was able to identify HIV through the ID introduced and takes preliminary attacks on HIV once they find them, the IFF protocols have been accomplished by the dud viruses and the delays that enable HIV to attacked immunity system itself was removed, and they were eliminated before they managed to attack the immunity system.

It works as planned.

Soon they moved on other viruses, extricating their IDs and implanted them on dud viruses to create new vaccines.

And so the database grows to include all known viruses' ID, and so does the vaccines made out of them.

The Panaceae Project finally managed to create the combination vaccine to combat all known viruses as the original doctor envisioned - the Panaceae vaccine.

The Panaceae Project moved on to research on the cure of self-immune disease (messing around with immunity system may lead to creating self-immunity reaction so it's essential to avoid it and to cure it when it's occured) and other malignant factors that immunity systems can recognise, not just viruses.

After some time The Panaceae Project released their most proud product: the Panaceae Omega.

Other than protection from malignant factors, it has a peculiar side effect desirable to all female: the Jade Skin effect that beautified the skin.

It also repels said malignant factors out of the body, unfortunately making those who takes the Panaceae Omega stank for about a whole month when said malignant factors - or "impurities" as they're more popularly known were expelled out of their orifices. This side effect forces those who take Panaceae Omega to undergoes "solitary meditation" for a whole month before the stank goes.

The Panaceae Omega also proved detrimental to those who haven't completely matured, messing around with puberty and other growing up problems, so it can only be taken after one has become and adult as recognised by the medical societies as safe to consume the Panaceae Omega.

So The Panaceae Project created their next product: the Panaceae Alpha, dedicated for infants to protect them from diseases until they can consume the Panaceae Omega later in life.

Panaceae Alpha and Omega become Pre-Fallout's main medical solution.

And then the World War III occured, and the bombs ended the world as we know it.

Some communities, such as the Red Cross Vault of the Alps retain the ability to produce the Panaceae Omega, but they can no longer able to alter it, adding new diseases to combat to the old Panaceae, making it a Lost Art Legacy.

An Epidemic - the Crimson Death struck 750 years after the Fallout, killing many and halting humanity's attempt to reclaim the Earth and cleansing it off radioactivity completely.

The Red Cross created new vaccine to combat the Crimson Death and combined it with other vaccines to combat new diseases to make the Lesser Panaceae, but the damage was done.

200 years passed until humanity once again swear for total reclamation of the Earth.

It's Year 975 Post-Fallout, promises of wealth and honor awaits those who take the challenges.
