S class! I, Nero, have the second highest rank book! People have died trying to find an S class book, but I was holding it right in my hands. The only reason no one has stolen this was because the principal (I forgot to mention he's an NPC) spawned the books randomly and were distributed randomly to the 14 year olds. This book was legendary! And… It was mine!
I forced my eyes to look away from the class and down to the skill itself. It read:
Skill: Light Blade (Summon a sword made of light that is: Unbreakable, can cut through long distance spells, Can be summoned to wherever you please, adds speed boost, every monster you kill in a row, the blade powers up -when powered up, say 'release' and a beam of light will do damage to whatever monster it is directed at- the more powered up the sword is, the more power the beam contains)
To gain skill, say accept. Stasis is above head, but for a closer and more detailed view of your own stasis, swipe down. To exit, swipe up.
Without any hesitation, I whispered, "Accept."
My book emitted a soft glow, then disappeared. Remembering what the book said, I looked above my head, seeing a transparent screen that said:
HP: 100/100
Skill/s: (S)
I looked around and saw that every person that had got a book had the same thing, except, most of their skills were FF, though the highest skill I saw was E.
I noticed that no one's screen showed what skill they had, just the class. I guess that was good and bad for me. It was good that no one knew of the type of skill I had, but since they can see the class, I guess I'd still be mobbed after the ceremony.
I wanted to know the rest of my stasis, so I lifted my finger into the air in front of me and swiped down. Now, I saw the same transparent screen that was above my head, now right below eye level. It read:
HP: 100/100
Speed: 150
Skills: (S: Light Blade)
I noticed that my personal screen was more detailed and when I pressed my skill, it gave me a detailed description of the skill.
I swiped down and the screen disappeared.
A sudden jolt of panic raced through my brain. After the last person is called, everyone is allowed to get up, try out their new skills, or go to the F class dungeon (all dungeons follow the same class system as skills). When the time came for the ceremony to end, my original plan was to slip out of the place undetected, try out my skill, and go to the dungeon as soon as possible. But now, since everyone can see my skill's class, I'll be surrounded by people trying to see my skill. If I show my skill to everyone, word would get out about my skill and clans would try and recruit me.
Clans are groups of people who join together to form a 'community' of some sort. People in that 'community' would fight together in dungeons, take care of the rest of the 'community' or/and be in charge of certain aspects of the 'community.' Clans can hold as many people as they desire. You need at least 2 people to create a clan. Once you have created it, you have to go to a principal NPC and register your clan.
If I join a clan, I'm sure that they would just use me for my ability or use me to make them popular. That was not going to happen. I'm sure of it.
At last, the time had come for the last person to be called up. I sat on the edge of my seat, ready to make a run for it. As soon as the principal stopped talking, we were allowed to leave.
Once the last person took their seat, the principal announced, "This concludes this year's ceremony. You are now allowed to leave."
I jumped up with my bag around my shoulder and was already at the exit door when people started to move. Before anyone realized it was me who got up first, I was already out the door, sprinting towards the entrance of the rank F dungeon.
As I ran, I saw the 15 floor, marble building that rose in the air. It's sides, so polished and smooth it looked new, like when you first take a plastic toy from it's package and place it on the ground.
The dungeon had a hexagonal base that kept it's form all the way up to the smooth, flat top. It had no windows and a pair of stone, double-doors that stood at the entrance.
I peeked behind my shoulder and saw a few people running after me. I recognized a few of them from the audience. They were the ones that sat closest to me and saw my skill's class clearly.
Once I got to the doors, I opened one of them, slipped inside, and closed the door as quick as I could behind me.
I was safe… For now.
