Chapter 23 - The talk

*Boom, Crack, Vwoom, Boom....*

"Sir, if i may ask, why is such a individual categorised as only a red level alert?" Asked Jane, her expressionless face containing some drops of cold sweat as she looked at the screen, the sky-scrapper being demolished from the inside by gouts of flame, beams of light and colapsed walls opening up to reveal both floor and ceiling to be cut as if by a giant blade.

"Because his ability to grow is a secret. Besides, he was barely a code yellow when i met him, you think i can just push him to black without even seeing him?" Grumbled Pzarto from his weel chair, eyes fixed on the screen with a diferent tipe of terror. The first thing he'd done after being given access to information on the changes happening was to increase security around his husband, yet they were massacred, hipnotized or turned coat. Even without their recent romantic development, he'd rather die than let something happen to the man, yet the best he could do with his fancy title and medals was sit on a danmed chair and wait for a crazy boy less than half his age do something.

His only consolation was that his support team had already reported at least a dozen hostages and more civilians rescued from the operation, none allowed to die under his watch.

"You know, when they said you had at least ten espers on your side, i thought maybe i'd get SOMETHING out of you all, but that guy there was so weak he died before i could even attack you all." Aki mocked, the flaming man in front of him heaving for breath as his ambush failed completly, both his controlers dead with either their head popped from their own ability or with a bullet to the skull, three others lying on the ground completly drained of blood. The others had already been killed further back on the building climbing.

"Monster." Spat the man with a caved in chest. He'd already tried to run away twice, sans what was likely a colapsed lung. His body couldn't keep burning at his max, it hadn't even reached halfway before he was kicked down, and now he could only wait as the sadistic predator slowly approached him, death closing in.

"Thank you." He said, fang penetrating the man's chest right away, his screams filling the room. They stopped soon after however, the man was unconcious. Holding him like a bag of potatos, Aki easily dodged the flying knife coming for his neck, kicking towards his back and grazing a shadowy figure and firing several beams of light at their legs.

One caught their knee, but they were already rolling away, a siringue being quickly applied on the mostly dangling piece of flesh making it grow back to perfect shape almost imediatly, yet he wasn't fast enough, more and more kicks coming his way until the sixth try finaly hit the assasin on the side. Before Aki could pick up the shaken man however, he literally exploded in black fire. Aki made sure to still stab him with a fang however, maybe he could get some of that soul fire for himself

Turns out that no, he couldn't, it'd just been a piece of a soul lighting itself up instead of an actual soul fire. The diference was like crude oil and refined gasoline really. The assasin was alive though, so there was that. Full of burns Aki could not heal, but alive, and fortunately for him, unconsious. He was going to need a skin transplant, then he'd be able to heal the man in question by forcefully adapting the tissue to him. He would be unable to explain shit were he to be heavily dosed with pain meds or the like after all.

"And you're not even tired from all of that?" Asked Jane Doe.

"I have murder healing, and before you say otherwise, i'm not the one that coined the term, so deal with it." Aki scoffed, waiting for his next assignment while reading a book. He'd been so eficient that it'd not even been 24 hours since he entered the dungeon world and he already had people getting him info into what was likely the strongest enemy he could face in the dungeon. There wasn't any training room ready for someone like him though, so he could only beat back boredom for now.

He might consider himself smart, but he never thought he'd do better than professional interogators. He just liked fighting, so he'd fight and do his best on other matters that passed on the inbetween fighting, since, after all, the dungeons weren't his home, not even the one where people had started revering him as a demi-god.

Having been asigned a code black however, made it so he needed a nany at all times, so they sent the ciborg. It was certainly cool as fuck in his opinion, and if his body wasn't being constantly reinforced and so easy to replace, he'd try his hand on implants too. Maybe not in the dungeon, but in the player city. The main problem was that there was only one person that accepted payment for such things, and his lowest prices began in the millions of points! It was simply too rich for his taste.

Instead of going over a not so good book, in his opinion, he instead ended up deciding on swarming his caretaker with 'questions', where he basically guessed each and every secret there could be in the military, though it was honestly just bullshiting.

"...But if you do find someone that's invisible, do let me have a sample, ok? Such specific skin mutation should at the very least help me develop a bit. Major, good to see you well, did you bone enough already?" He said first towards the expressionless woman then towards the man coming inside the room while being slowly pushed forward by slightly pudgy, bald black gentleman in his early forties. Aparently, the military man had once sported a cropped red mane too. Aki wanted to call the system for it's clear plagiarism. The diferences were simply too minor, with exection on the tipe of percecution the one working for the government had gone, something about his family, though he was openly gay (Bi) for over a decade now, he'd checked.

"Aki. Thank you again for rescuing my husband." He ignored the comment, the men behind him twitching his mouth a bit. "There is something i would like to ask you though. Is the process to turn others into vampires always like that of the man you brought us?"

"Pretty much. Without a strong enough mind you will become a beast, and the weaker your body the bigger the change nescessary, meaning the pain is higher, but there should be no risk of dying unless you try to turn a geriatric or something." He shrugged.

"I see." There was a pause. "Would you be willing..."

"The weaker the vampire that turns someone the weaker the result will be, the more weaknesses they will have. It's a great responsability even for someone like me. Only a select few would be allowed to get my blessing, because what i did to that man is more akin to a curse considering of how he would use it. Be carefull of him. Besides that, there is literally only one person i'd accept as a vampire at the moment." Aki interupted, talking in a much more serious tone and looking directly at the old man. Silence reigned again, and both other occupants of the room looked at the one sitting on a weel chair.

"You can't be..."

"Grayson!" Interrupted the major. "This is not something i can let pass. It's my duty." He added.

"Do you need translation?" Aki offered, the older man shaking his head and sighing as he locked eyes with his partner. "Good, because he's going to be needing your help." He grinned.

"How can i help?" Asked the serious man in his baritone, a hand on the major's shoulder and icy eyes for the young man.

"Well, you see, i don't know if you all have been informed yet, but when i 'bite', i need to secrete a drug inside the target as well." He scoffed. "It should also affect my feeding habits but i can actually absorb energy from normal food too, so no problem there. This drug in question though, it enhances energy production of the body, and it is not something i know how to turn off." He said, giving the couple a pointed look.

"What is he saying?"

"I don't know either. What are you getting at?"

"It's an aprodisiac. People turned by a vampire king will experience an increase in their libido as a form of liberating their energy, every time it reaches a certain point you will get horny. Besides that, the only downsides are being slightly weakened by some radiation forms and a certain fixation with me for the next couple of months. You guys are really lucky i'am not a woman though, a female vampire of the same species as me has poison that just straight out makes other's completly fixated on them." He snickered, both older men slightly flushed.

"I should probably go inform someone about that." Said Jane, retreating with fierce speed due to akwardness.

"I haven't even told you all what happens if they don't release their energy though." Aki grinned.

"They go beserker." Guessed the professor in the room.

"Not imediatly, but yes. It should start with some violent instincts and anxiety that get progressively worse, then the poison kicks in and they start wanting to see mua for relief, though if noting is done about the pressure, said vampire will just straight out explode or rapidly decompose, don't know which. The cause behind this effect however, i do know. It's because my poison causes the body to keep producing energy despite being full, meaning you can in fact train until the problem is over because you found a way to deal with it, but if you're to keep to one partner you will need several precautions and he will need a doctor. It'd be quite useful for getting started on cultivation on an extreme yang way however. Highly recomend you do some exercise after bed no matter how tired you feel, than have a doctor check on you." He explained, much like he was explaining the birds and bees to the couple.

"...."

"...I don't mean to pry, but why are you part of what is clearly a parasitic species?" Questioned Grayson.

"I killed a infant vampire queen when she tried to feed on me, those are pretty much randomly born by the way, so not much to be done there at the moment, and then i ate her heart to see if i could become a vampire that was immune to sunlight since she and her guards were." He sagely nodded.

"....."

"...."

"...."

"Yes, it's pretty gross. No, i did not become a canibal thanks to this." He retorted when he was only met with silence. "By the way, as you get stronger your sense of taste might grow more than the others too." He added. "Could you all stop staring and maybe check if i can go hunt down some espers, please!"
