Chereads / Hell station: Limbo / Chapter 25 - SING!

Chapter 25 - SING!

Jumping down a cliff was fucking amazing an experience and explained a lot about spaida-man, at least from Aki's point of view, which prompted him to sing several of the songs from the last movie of the franchise he'd watched, the animation and scripting had been amazing and definetly worth the wait, but the several insects, birds and larger than average animals didn't seem to enjoy his singing even before he made it deadly as it helped reinforce his beams of light. blind them with darkness and completly send them into a frenzy that generally sent them to their actual deaths.

"WHAT'S UP DANGER!?!" (What's up danger - Blackway - Black Caviar) He screamed at the top of his lungs down a great crevace that opened up in a series of tunnels. The earth shook, crumbling scars on the stone walls allowing for small stones to fall together with great clouds of dust, though the hissing didn't stop as the sand reached the ground. "All these, thoughts I battle, creeping up my skin... WHERE DO I BEGIN?!" (Fire - The score)

The fire burned bright. His skin shone red, bones going black.

As the heat of the surroundings went up until it came near a point where it could start to melt lead, the smiling spirit stabbed his extended hand forward as his whole strenght was used to descend the cave the fastest possible, several snake corpses hitting the now burning ground with him.

He couldn't sing anymore, but he also didn't need to, the flames did it for him, their crackling turning into instruments as his steps echoed to the ritm. The world would sing for him. He ignored the system notifications.

It was easy to see the thing now, but so was he to it's vision. A mere infant, yet still his most formidable enemy till now. It also didn't seem to like being awoken by loud rock music though. Unfortunately for the danger noodle, he was also a contender for the shiny it held so precious, his attributes receiving buffs as he walked closer and closer to the place where he should be. Nothing really indicated it, he just knew.

As the cavern opened up, he saw the giant, golden snake with white and purple markings all over, it hissed in annoyance, awakening the whole horde of cold blooded creatures under it, all surrounding a gigantic, tranlucid pillar with orange lights floating in the middle, illuminating the whole dome of rock as the serpent that was longer than a hundred meters uncoiled itself and ordered it's minions to go forth.

"Got no time for my game, i put it on the shelve..." (With Me Now by - Blacklite District)

Light blades extended from his claws, temperature and edge forming more than enough a weapon to dissecate most of the monsters nesting, and if not, at least knock them back as shadows filled the room, heat going up despite the lack of blazing flames to acompany it, what seemed like the shouts of a small group instead compeeting with the beasts for the dominance of the cacophany of this battle as it became a massacre.

This lasted for only a small amount of time however, as the guardian flickered it's tail with a vanishing speed, lances of compact dirt and rock reached for the comparatively diminute form engulfed in flames despite it being shrouded in darkness. Although most were dodged, one ended up lopping off his left arm, though the spinning limb sucsintly dissapered and appeared again on it's intended place, quickly stiching itself back as it's owner dodged attacks and caved in skulls.

This annoyed the serpent, so it started to send more and more of it's lances at a speed comparable to bullets, confident in it's ability to draw from the pillar to keep such attack going even if it killed off as many of their's as the enemy, who lept around like a monkey and destroyed the retreating monster forces, though never leaving the geo dome.

Then it got confident and commited a mistake as a lance appeared just behind the one they'd parried, impaling their stomach to the ground. Death was the only thing awaiting as the would be primordial used it's tail with monstrous dexterity, hitting the ground with all it's strenght to squash the pestering bug despite how many minions would be stuck on side tunnels. Then came the pain.

Lashing the tail around, it noticed the irritating creature now sported a hole in their middle where it'd been hit and there was a hole where it'd previously been, meaning that it'd somehow dodged inside the ground and latched onto the attacking tail with it's claws and teeth.

Trying to dislodge the human through smashing itself against a wall turned out to be an error however, as it somehow reversed it's flight path and dislodged itself from the tail, ripping parts of it's scales away despite the bleeding mouth as it approached the head of the giant serpent, confusing the giant snake tremenduosly as it hadn't even thought such movement possible. Why wasn't it possi... *Bang*

Sucking in all the mana he could bare in his body, Aki axe kicked the serpent's head, gravity increasing again and again as something broke when the two wells of gravity and 'anti-gravity' settled in their relative space around him.

His heel touched the ground through the snout of the serpent, several scales craking, though he couldn't tell if the cranium had also sufered damage as pretty much half his bones were crushed before he stopped the push and pull of gravity, momentarily exeding the speed of sound if his ears were anything to go by.

The beast was at least unconcious though, as there was no way an impact that literally catapulted his leg straight out of it's socket, the limb flying above and making blood rain down on him even as his body took a great damage, making him activate his healing items and take out his highest grade potion, his mana too unstable to take care of the problem alone, his head pretty much empty from the exertion simply not allowing for him to prod his enemy for vitality.

Gulping down huge breaths of air, Aki didn't take his eyes out of his enemy even as he stretched a telekinetical thread to his leg, rapidly storing and summoning it back before actually ingesting the potion, which wasn't instantenous either, but it didn't come back even as he stood up again. He wasn't an idiot though, he wouldn't claim his prise before making sure he was safe.

That being the case, he took out his legendary sword and stabbed the scale he knew hid the equivalent of an ear in the reptile.

*Vwo*

Or so he tried, but roaring winds simply sent his rather bathered body away before he could thrust, his back hitting stone before he saw the prone form of the now winged guardian, hissing to the air with an intensity that confirmed one of his great fears. He hadn't picked the world serpent as his oponent, but a dragon king. That ment his fight would have stages. Those scales looked even more sturdy than before too.

Worst, he knew exactly how to deal with this and he still felt tempted to just die there and then. Every part of his body told him this was stupid, he should just run away. *Drip* His fear was ever present, coursing through his every muscle as it tried to simply freeze his body. *Gulp*

As it launched itself mouth first at the young man, the snake missed any chance to see the bloodlust filling in it's target, energy coalescing around him much like what hapenned to itself before a knee and an elbow hit it's lower jaw right as it closed down on what it'd seen as it's enemy. The hit part barely had a crack, but the inside of it's mouth bled like a fountain as the guardian bit itself in the fervor of the attack.

In an acrobatic feat, Aki wove kinetic force itself through his leg as he hit a kick on the head that was still bigger than his own body even after molting away a great part of it's mass, this time with his other leg. Then another. And another. And another one. Hitting his maximun velocity, he didn't exitate anymore, spliting his legs, throwing his waist forward while his torso acted as a counter weight and sacrificing his foot to open a great gash on it's throat by ussing void magic.

Holding himself up with a gravity well, Aki set his bones in place.

EAT.KILL.KILL.FIGHT.KILL.FIGHT...

Origin force flowed inside of him, as if he was a bottomless well, his body and his magic growing even as he lost most of his rationality. Or as a wing hit his back, sending him flying in the same direction as the serpent had been kicked.

It tried to bite him again, even faster this time, but as he spun in the air, his speed also increased, somehow kicking the beast's lower jaw again, sending it to the ground only to be hit by it's tail as his self made physics had him rotating in the air before he could activate another super gravity propelled fall. This time, he even hit the ceiling.

KILL.KILL.KILL.fight.KiLl...

Falling down like a star, and the closest he could to the actual speed of one, the burning man screamed, shoving a sword onto the snake, though he'd ended up missing the head and instead falling on it's side and sending the giant on a mad swing on it's serpentine body.

Distorting the sword's abilities, Aki made the insides of the guardian turn into a pot, cultivating several roots that infiltrated it's softer flesh and allowed him to hold on to it despite it's scaled body cutting him on several places every time his own collided with it.

"Can't you see...." He murmured, a semblance of conciousness appearing again. That wasn't the right song for now. A sinister grin appearead on his face, the bloodied thing loosing a couple of teeth due to his impudence. "Before you start a war!" His sword started to dislodge a chunk of flesh and scales, this time the snake finding it's muscles tensing and locking up, restricting it's movements but also allowing for a bit of rationale to return. "YOU BETTER KNOW WHAT YOU'RE FIGHTING FOR!" (Angel with a shotgun)

Unfortunately, while the explosions happened so close to it's head, it also took a huge chunk from it's sinuous wings and exposed a lot of it's insides. The would-be-primordial was going to die. It's enemy a mere fledgeling burned by it's own fire, a battered body barely keeping itself together as it laughed to his face with a deformed mouth, already lusting for his flesh.

It was a dragon! Even in death it'd not allow for such an easy time for it's oponent!

Sensing the increase in the energy drawn towards the snake's mostly dangling head, Aki crawled faster. This was a perfect oportunity for him in too many a way. While he'd not be able to use all of the origin, his instincts could figure something out after he made sure he wasn't going to be detonating together with a stupid lizard.

Biting into the bloody and burned meat was a lot diferent than the smell or his impending death would have suggested, because the snake meat and blood were absolutely DIVINE! Elasticity, a strong odor, strong after taste and spiciness from a hard meat somehow melted into his endless bites, his body somehow reinforcing his jaw to the next level as he mechanically gorged himself on more than enough flesh to form his body before he remenbered to disrupt the last breath of his enemy.

IT JUST NEEDS TO DROWN IN DESPAIR BEFORE I CAN EAT MORE, RIGHT?!?

******

The pain was completly irrelevant to him as he ate more and more, but that didn't last long, not because the magic he'd cast to heighten both their pain reception had fucked with his body or anything, just that since he'd been eating the head, the dragon died even faster, and it's body started to dissolve into light particles that were forcefully gathered in front of the frensied young man, whose body was actually completly restored at this point. No, it was mostly from the fadigue simply having him pass out with a crystal in his mouth as the dungeon world sent him away after killing too important a figure.
