Alex walked through the door and Zotar followed him. The young man walked into the main area that had a big hole in the shape of a circle cutting through the center wide enough to stick a full grown elephant in the middle and twirl them around. The hole extended down under ground a few floors down.
Alex ran to the railing and looked up and down looking at the open floors. His mouth dropped at the sight of the creatures walking past each other working together. Alex watched as they jumped over the rails gliding down or flying up to a different floor, their feathers shining from sun let in from the glass ceiling.
Zotar went to his side and pulled him away from the rails saving him from almost flipping over the edge. "Beautiful creatures aren't we?" He said looking at the creatures that flew in the void.
Alex nodded taking in the looks of their form. They looked like a lion with the wings of a bird. Most had unicorn looking horns on their foreheads that gave off a faint aura when used. Some even had a scorpion looking barb on the tips of the tail where the tuft of fur would be. Alex gave a sharp inhale when he turned around to see in Zotar's place the same creature he's seen.
"No way! You have a mane made of fire!" Alex looked Zotar over with awe rushing to the Lingle Horns side and feeling his fur. Zotar stiffened at the touch and hopped away from Alex. Alex looked up at Zotar looking hurt.
Zotar cleared his throat, "Sorry kid but don't touch me unless I say you can." He narrowed his blue eyes at Alex. "Well yes and no, my mane is like fire but not fire. The strands of fur are like a really hot silk that moves like fire." The Lingle Horn frowned and sighed seeing Alex's stiff body.
Alex shivered nervously facing a big magical lion looking thing defenseless against the unknown power Zotar has. Alex coughed, "So when do I get to morph into that?" He smiled looking excited and ready to learn.
Zotar huffed and extended out his black white tipped feathered wings lace with silver around each feather. "We plan on not letting you turn into your Lingle Horn form. That's the only way to keep you hidden from the queen." He grumbled something and looked back at Alex.
Zotar knelt down and sighed, "Alex, we are going to your room. But the only way to get there is to fly. Now get on and hold on tight." He gave an evil smile and laughed.
Alex gulped as he jumped into Zotar's back feeling his soft silky savana colored fur. The black haired boy smiled and got himself comfortable on the Lingle Horns back. He felt the heat from Zotar's mane and reached to touch the silky fur. Alex was stunned to find out that it didn't burn him. He smiled and chuckled, Maybe the fire heat is turned off? Not surprising if so. THIS is so COOL! Wait he said they want to hide me from the queen..... Am I on the evil bad guy side? He frowned and looked around and held onto Zotar's mane with a yelp as the Lingle Horn jumped over the railing and flew down at a high speed.
The older teen yelled in fright as the ground came closer to them. Zotar flared out his wings to break their fall and landed gracefully on the floor. Alex was frozen, he sat there in shock and started wheezing breathing heavily. "DUDE! WARN ME NEXT TIME!" Alex started yelling at Zotar.
The Lingle Horn huffed and turned back into a human. Zotars human form turned to face him and caught Alex from landing face first into the ground. Alex coughed and looked up at Zotar and then realized he was being carried bridal style. Zotar let out a laugh and dropped him. Alex landed on his backpack with a groan. The grown man patted Alex's head and walked down a hall, "Come along now!" Alex sat up and crossed his arms getting up slowly with his hands on his hips.
"Jeez you catch me then drop me." Alex ran to Zotar's side. Alex was slightly shorter than Zotar but had the same muscle build. "What a mentor you are." This caused Zotar to burst out laughing.
"Don't mind me just here to save myself and those around me," He smiled. He opened a door that was big enough for a Lingle Horn to walk through. Or an above average sized full grown lion.
The room was empty and Alex frowned, "And you want me to stay here? There's nothing in it!"
Zotar chuckled, "Oh? Why don't you step inside?" Alex rolled his eyes and walked to the middle of the room and crossed his arms glaring at Zotar. "Give it a few more seconds," Zotar nodded.
The room began to shake and transform around him. The walls looked like the wooden logs of his room. The ceiling and walls were covered in pictures and drawing of animals and fan art for stories Alex has read. The bed appeared in the far wall in the center, to the right of the bed there was a wooden nightstand with a lamp on it. His closet appeared on the left side of the beg, it's painted with anime characters all over. Alex was shocked, it was his room, his room from home! A perfect replica. He turned to face the TV that was hung near the door and his gaming computer that was tucked in the corner on the polished oak table. His gaming chair was black and brown to fit the theme of his room for the most part.
The young man started hopping up and down excited, "WOW! You guys really can do anything with those powers of yours." He threw his back pack on the coat hooks in the back of the door. Zotar walked in and scanned the room, looking at his bed.
"What's that?" Zotar pointed at a long pillow that was flipped face down only showing white, but it can be seen that there was a design on the other side of the pillow. Alex yelped and ran to his bed stuffing the pillow under it.
He slowly got back up and turned around, "Um nothing."
