Chapter 20 - Twenty one

I repeat stop the car!"

He chuckles and turns his head slightly to me but still focus on the road.

"You really wanna shoot me holding the gun like that?" Simultaneously, I peep at the gun in my hands, the muzzle is pointing to me which means if I press the trigger backward, I will be shooting my mouth or nose.

I bite my lips nervously and instantly change the direction of the handgun.

Although, the weapon feels strange in my grip but I am extremely ready to fight for my freedom.

"That's was a good correction, now stop the car." I smirk.

He refuses to listen, he wants to pull a fight. So when he tries, I whack him down with the gun because I dodge to pull the trigger. He goes numb, leaving the car to go astray.

"No, no, no, no!" I scream as the vehicle move straight into the woods. I scoot closer to the driver's seat and tug to control the wheel but it is too late. I bolt back and shrill as the crash wind up.

I don't know if it is the loud bang of the car crashing or the sudden way. I feel dizzy and numb.

"Ow!" I hold my head and slowly open my eyes that automatically close when the crash happened.

I squint, making a picture of the whole scenario as all I collect cast foggy.

My ear relapse listening to sound and my skin lost its reflex of sensation. Out of my blurry sight, I notice a spot, effulgent like an achromatic light.

Mechanically, I lounge to where the light imperils. I'm not dead, as a matter of fact, my ears flag deaf but my heart beats loud enough for a deaf to sense, and my breath un-seize.

I am not in heaven, I'm going through hell in the environment of this planet called world. I roll on the floor and gasp when the rough sand claims ill-nice to my skin, it recoils the sensual feeling that was lost.

I cough gasping for air, I lay down there, unable to move, so I close my eyelids and continue to regulate my breath.

It's an accident–

It's an accident.

Those syllables keep chanting in my head plus a tight unfair soreness raising theirs.

I open my eyes, the sight beholds keenness and lucid unlike the former blurry vision, the orange dull sky pour down on me, threatening to get darker anytime soon.

I try to move my hands when I sense something tightened around my left hand, I rise it to my view and stare at my dirty stained fingers tantalizing round the black thing called a handgun. Blood dripping from my fingers.

The feeling of a gun in my reach, gets me feeling like a murderer.

Steadily, not to crack any bone. I boot up to a sitting position.

I gulp forbidding the pressure in my stomach to gush out. My eyes match with the damaged white car in which a tree had fallen over. The car narrows upside down and anyone who survived in there, it is a miracle. It's a miracle I'm out.

I stagger up, "ahh!" I cry as a new pain inject me.

I touch my tummy with my right hand, it is bath in red. I look down, panting as I see the flowing blood, steaming down my dress, there are minuscule pieces of glass splitting.

The white I left home with, shows a crimson color shading back at me. With my right hand holding my stomach to shrink the bleeding, my left hand clutches to the pistol and I lag to the ravage vehicle, dragging my feet on the sand.

Smoke still finds a way to pump out of the car.

The car is damaged beyond repair, the windshield all shatters along with other vents. The car horn rings non-stop.

Moving closer on the dry leaves that hurt my feet, I see the driver.

He's no longer in shape of recognition, the steering wheel stabs his chest, caging him between the driver's seat and the wheel. He is covered in his own blood, overflowing down his body.

His pink shirt welcome a deeper color, a sharp glass from the moon vent has pierced his head–

I look out unable to take the scene in my head again.

I've only seen an accident on news and movie, it doesn't feel good to have a tip on it.

The background lit up when the sound of a car pulling down jump in, I case a turn and welcome a Mercedes, the latest brand. The driver hops out and makes his way down to where I poise.

"Haley!" He calls.

I glare at the figure approaching me, I hiss and raise the gun up. He stops dead, his eyes cut a shot of what behind me.

"What the fuck happen here, Haley?" His eyes widen.

"Don't come near." I say in a shivering voice.

He didn't listen, he walks past me. I turn around still point to him.

He inspects the broke car, then he tries to open the driver's door which only got worse when a head drops off to his hand.

I feel weak to scream, so I just watch as he withdraw his hands in a quick ordinance. The driver's head bounces on the floor getting filled with dry leaves.

This place is partially a desert filled with dry leaves and hostile trees, and a tiled road that divides it.

Messiah turns to me, I straighten the gun I point to him and put a finger on the trigger, getting ready to fire at him with my head raise high.

I already killed someone, killing another will amount to the same thing. A murderer's job.

"He's dead." he pants and rests his back on the car. I move backward slowly, he gazes down at me legs up to my eyes.

"You're bleeding." he figures out and moves a foot. I fire at his feet but it missed him.

"Don't." I warn him as I proceed moving backward.

Slowly, he looks up from down to my face then he smirks.

"Let's see how far you can make it."

I hiss in pain, I wonder how deep the cut is and how powerful I am to still be breathing.

My vision starts to get back to its normal blurry form. I glance at Messiah, with his arms cross and legs too, his eyes are on me. I look down and recover my steps back emitting drops of blood.

I feel the prickliness of the leaves and pieces of little branches of a tree on my skin before my vision foams black.
