"What?"
"You heard me, Haley."
I burst into laughter, throwing my head back. My wounded spot came alive.
"Ouch!" I yelp and hold my laughter.
"Did I say something funny?" He knit his brow together, making me realize that he has a full brow.
"Well, yeah. Creepy funny." I stare at him as I rest my back comfortably in the foam seat. I bat my eyes as he won't break the gaze.
He is angry, the way his tongue roam in his mouth stretching the skin around it, makes a proof that he is angry and I don't give a fuck.
I should care if he's pissed because of what he said that makes me comment.
He should know I'm not like every other girl they've taken away from their home, like Rosa. Who has been downgraded to fear them.
"Do I need to make myself clear?" I hike my brows in question. I pull forward, don't know why I did it but I did. Leaving only a little or no space between me and him. I can practically hear his stormy breath.
