Back at their Condo Riku and Haru bid farewell to Hiro on the elevator and head into their house.
"Did Hiro seem a little weird to you?" Haru asked Riku with a look of confusion
"Don't worry about it he has his off days probably had a bad day or something you know being a temp at all" Riku chuckled nervously
Haru nodded her head in agreement "Aaah makes sense."
"Well you go wash up I'll make some pasta for dinner." Riku nudged Haru down the hall"
"You sure like your pasta huh?" Haru chuckled in amusement.
"Hey, you can never go wrong with pasta" Riku stated.
Haru shrugs with a smile "I guess."
"Besides I make the best pasta." Riku bragged and walked into the kitchen to prepare her ingredients.
"Can't argue with that. The leftovers were amazing" Haru smiled remembering her first night at Riku's house.
"Now go shoo let me get started on dinner. I don't wanna get distracted when I'm in the zone cooking"
"Okay okay I'm going" Haru chuckled
An hour later Riku called out to her roommate. "Haru Dinner is ready. Come serve yourself I'm gonna get washed up and I'll join you after."
"Okay!" Haru quickly went into the kitchen, made herself a plate of pasta, and sat down at the table to eat. In a few min. Riku sat down next to her with a plate.
"so what are you gonna do about Kiba? He obviously can't take a hint or fact that you divorced him." Haru was surprised that Riku had brought that subject up.
Haru paused, looked down at her plate, and began mindlessly twirling her pasta "I don't know all I can think about right now is how much I don't want to be alone. I'm really scared because I always think he's gonna find me and hurt me."
Riku frowned and put a hand on Haru's shoulder "Don't worry Hiro and I will make sure that doesn't happen."
Riku lifted her hand and went back to eating her pasta. After a few bites, she stopped "I know you have your reasons but why won't you put a restraining order?"
"I cant. I don't want to cause any more waves I don't need any more stress to deal with."
"Well then you're gonna have to toughen up and not be scared about this situation because this is the way you're deciding to deal with it," Riku answered irritably
Haru sulks "yeah you're right."
Riku frowned at Haru and got up with her plate "Well I'm gonna go to my room play some mammal crossing and then head to bed. You should go rest too. You need it more than me." She walked to the kitchen and put away the food and dishes. "Don't forget to wash your plate befo-" Riku stopped mid-sentence before she realized something. "Never mind soak your plate in the sink and I'll get to it tomorrow. Almost forgot that you only have one arm."
Haru chuckled "Riku?"
"Yeah?"
"you should be a psychiatrist..."
"Nah I hate dealing with people's problems and if anything happens to them for heeding my advice I don't want to be blamed for it or feel responsible for what happens to them."
"But you're helping me?"
"You're a different case. You're my roommate."
Haru sits with the words roommate floating around her
Haru looks at Riku with a frown ".. not a friend?"
"I don't like to get attached." Riku began walking to her room and stopped midway. After pausing for a few min Riku turned her head to look back at Haru. "In time maybe I'll consider you my friend" She smirked and walked into her room and closed the door quietly
Haru smiles. "Why does she have to be so cool" and she walked to her own room, closed the door, sat on her bed. After all those carbs she easily drifted off into dreamland.
The next morning Riku was eating breakfast peacefully in her PJs
"Good morning Riku, I'm surprised Hiro isn't here to wake you up."
Riku smiled blissfully "Yesss peace and quiet. Ever since you moved in I haven't been able to wake up on my own. Today's a first so it was very VERY wonderful indeed."
Haru giggles at her reaction "I'm sorry Riku."
After eating their breakfast and getting ready they make their way down to the parking lot.
Haru spots Hiro's car easily since he is already sitting in it waiting for them. As they approach the car he notices them, quickly gets out of the car, and opens the door for Haru. She notices that he looked like he hadn't gotten much sleep but despite that fact he still looked very handsome with his silky blue hair from the other day combed to the side with some loose fallen bangs in the front, It's a bit cold today so he was wearing an oversized dark blue pullover sweater, light blue men's skinny jeans, with white sneakers.
For some reason, she couldn't shake the thought that this man looked like a KPOP idol. She wondered why such a good-looking man would just be a temp. "thank you, Hiro. I could have done it myself though" Haru smiled sheepishly
Hiro smiled but not his usual bright smile "Well you're still injured so I don't want you pushing yourself too hard.
Haru giggles "I do still have my other arm"
"I don't wanna take any chances." Hiro smiled softly, Gently ushered her into the car, and closed the door.
Back at Haru's old apartment Kiba was a mess pacing back and forth in the living room. His phone rang and he immediately picked it up thinking it would be Haru.
"Kiba you've been out of work for a week now when are you coming back? We're short-staffed and the boss counts on you a lot."
Kiba wanted to hang up immediately thinking he needed to keep the line open for his wife. But decided against it since he worked hard to get to where he was and he also really needed this job. "I need to find her!" He snapped at the man on the other end.
"You're ex-wife?"
"SHES NOT MY EX-WIFE!" He roared.
"Sooner or later you are going to have to get over this man. If you're planning on staying out of work longer than this you better put in a form for vacation time or you'll get fired. I'm not supposed to tell you this but the bosses are getting ready to fire you. You haven't called in sick you just never show up. Get it together or get ready to live on the street!" The man hung up immediately after his last sentence.
"UGH THIS IS ALL HER FAULT!" Kiba threw his phone at the wall shattering the screen.
