Haru looked up but couldn't see his face clearly because of the rain. The man came closer, squat down next to her and held his umbrella over her head. When the rain cleared up she was able to see his face he had a soft smile, forest green eyes a clear complexion and fair skin. He Looked like one of those Kpop stars. She stared at him with wide eyes and he just chuckled at her expression.
"So miss?" He continued. " My name is Hiro, What is yours?" He smiled his soft smile.
"My name is Haru" Haru felt her face getting flushed so she turned her head quickly and hid her face between her arms and knees. Hiro felt his cheeks blush as well and just chuckled. He looked at her and smiled thinking about how cute she was. It was like love at first sight for him.
"Well Ms. Haru do you live near by? I can walk you home? Don't want you getting sick."
"I'm sorry but I really don't want to go home right now. I think I'll just stay here."
"Okay well.... I don't wanna make things weird but if you want you can stay at my house till the rain lets up? I don't let people come over but this seems like a serious situation in your case."
Hiro offered a hand to her while looked at Haru with sympathy and concern.
Haru took his hand and he lifted her onto her feet.
"Thank you Hiro."
The two began to walk down the street.
"You know you're lucky that I'm not some weirdo taking advantage and tricking you into following me."
Haru replied calmly "isn't that what they say to make you feel safe or something?"
Hiro looked at her with sarcasm. "Hm" was his reply
The two walked in silence the rest of the way.
After a few min they reached a very fancy condo.
Hiro opened the door to the building "After you Haru."
Haru chuckled and walked through "thank you" She shyly replied.
Hiro lead her to the elevator and almost up to the top floor.
He opened the door to his apartment. "Here we are my home sweet home."
Haru's eyes were wide and her Jaw dropped to the ground.
The interior to his apartment was very classy with a blue and white color scheme. She could tell that Hiro was not an 'ordinary' man and he must have a good job that makes a lot of money. Being in this luxurious scenery Haru began to feel really small and insignificant.
Hiro saw that she was becoming uncomfortable so he quickly interrupted her thoughts. "Let me go get you some clean clothes." And with that he left into his room.
Haru decided to look around the house while she waited for him to bring out the clothes.
"Here's some clean clothes the bathroom is first door on your right down the hall."
She looked at him thoughtfully "thank you" and smiled.
After a while she came out of the bathroom.
"Are you feeling any better?" Hiro asked worriedly
"Not really still trying to process everything." Haru replied calmly.
"Here, I made some hot chocolate for you since it's cold." Hiro handed her the Hot chocolate and Haru looked at him suspiciously.
"How do I know you didn't drug it?... you drink it first."
Haru handed the drink back to Hiro. "Okay" he rolled his eyes, grabbed the cup and took a small sip. Within seconds he dropped the cup and began choking and fell to the floor. Seeing this Haru Screamed."AAAAAAHHHHHH!"
As she was freaking out a friendly laughter came out of the man rolling on the floor. Haru quickly realized that she had been tricked and began to hit Hiro. "HOW DARE YOU DO YOU KNOW HOW SCARED I WAS? YOU EVEN STAINED YOUR CARPET TO PLAY SUCH A STUPID PRANK!"
Hiro finished laughing and wiped his tears. "The rain has let up you want me to walk you back home?"
Haru sat down quietly on the couch.
"I'm sorry to just intrude and bother you. But I really don't want to go home."
Hiro got up, walked over and sat in front of her. "I know its none of my business but why don't you want to go home?"
Haru took in a shaky breath. ".... I found out my husband had been cheating on me for a while this morning."
"Wow I can't even imagine how much that hurt."
"I was so stupid to believe all of his lies. I did everything for him and listened to him. I have no friends because of him and I have no where to go. I'm sorry I'm dumping all of this on you"
Hiro looked at her with sympathy and put a hand on her knee. "Hey, I'm sorry all of that happened to you. I've never dated much so I can't really say that I understand how you feel. I have to go to work now you can stay here until I finish work then see if you still want to go home and figure out what you want to do from there."
"Okay." Haru softly replied.
"Well I need to go now. Don't make yourself at home and don't steal anything."
Haru rolled her eyes at him and chuckled. "Pft I highly doubt I'd steal from someone who helped me."
"Yeah we'll see." Hiro replied with a smirk.
Hiro opened the door to leave when Haru called out. "Hey Hiro?"
"Yeah?"
"Thank you. I really appreciate all of this."
Hiro smiled widely and left the house.
