It was half-past six, and the evening had clothed itself with sheer serenity, but not long enough, a black gate was banged open. Two men were arguing; voices were on volume, an indication of the intense collision of emotions.
The first one was in a full rage; his crescent eyes had filled with anger, and his aura was radiating a death-dealing presence. His beautiful face and pearly skin were magnetizing praises from big K-Pop idols, other Korean personalities, and netizens. This guy was known for being a classy and superb Korean model of all time. And the second one, who followed outside, was undeniably a king of visual; his face was so perfectly handsome, that could make every woman or man bet their gems to get him. The fact he was taller and gifted with long legs, he hastily overtook the raging lad. He was completely drunk.Â
"Why won't you listen to me?" He said, pulling the shorter to stop his steps.
"Listen? Are you kidding?" The other glared at him and tried to loosen the tight grip making his arm tainted with crimson shade.
"I've been telling you! It's not what you think it is!" He yelled. His voice had filled with fretfulness.
"How many times will you play with my feelings? How many times do you need to make excuses? All you do is lying! Are you not tired? I'm TIRED."
"I'm not! Look, I'm here for you. I'm correcting the mistake you've believed all this time!"
"Let me go, Tae. I'm really tired of pretending to be okay."
"No, I want you to see that I'm sincerely asking for your forgiveness."
"Is this what you call 'sincere'? Darling, you're demanding forgiveness. You don't earn 'forgiveness' in this way."
"What did your fucking friend feed your brain? This is not you, Jimin."
Jimin unclasped Taehyung's fingers from his arm with all his might and slapped him.
"Yes! This is not the old Jimin that you can fool around with anytime you want. And for the record, Suga is not an idiot like you. Now, will you please, let me leave!"
"No, Jimin! I will get you back. Listen, please... I love you." Taehyung begged.
"Tae, you don't love me! I will never believe that lie again. I don't need you!"Â
Running out of patience, he hugged Jimin to force a kiss. Jimin was trying his best to avoid this.Â
"Let me go, Tae!"
"Jimin-ah, I love youâ¤" Taehyung smashed his lips on Jimin's.
"No!" Jimin cried messily under Taehyung's grip.
"Hey!" A voice has heard from behind, but Taehyung was neglecting for God knows who that person was.
A short moment passed by, he felt something heavy on his back. Taehyung stopped and faced the stranger, who was interrupting him. He pushed Jimin away, which made Jimin fell to the ground.
"Who the hell are you?"
"Whether you know me or not, what you're doing right now is mere madness."
Taehyung smirked at the bold words of the stranger.
"Playing the savior here doesn't fit you. Stay away! And mind your own business!"Â
A bunny smile crept out from the lad's face.
"I'm playing the savior here, and you know what? Nothing can stop that."
The stranger grabbed Taehyung's arm swiftly and lifted his body down to the ground. Taehyung groaned from the impact. He was hurt and limping in the process.Â
The lad held Jimin's hand, and they ran as fast as they could.
"Thank you," Jimin mumbled as they ran away from the scene.
"Don't mention it. Anyone would do the same if they were in my shoes."Â
Jimin let the lad took him wherever he wanted, he didn't care anymore. He just wanted to get away from Taehyung; seeing his face was a big slap to him. Taehyung embodied Jimin's idiocy; he was being lied to many times but he chose to believe in those. He let himself be comforted with Taehyung's sweet yet deceptive words. He endured everything ⤠every painful word, every slap he gets whenever Taehyung was drunk, every lie that he heard to conceal the other's treachery. He wanted to escape the turmoil he was in. He wasn't happy because Taehyung changed, which made everything between them crashed into pieces. And what made it more poignant? He was the only one mending the cracks. He was patching the already slouching bond ⤠Jimin was left hanging alone.Â
They stopped in a park surrounded by glittering lights. It was December and because of that, everywhere looked like Santa's home in the North Pole. Jimin was admiring the Christmas tree in front of them.
"Would you look at that... Ah! So wonderful!" He looked up, his eyes mirroring the glittering red-yellow-white-green lights.
"Do you like Christmas?" The lad stared at Jimin and was mesmerized by his smiling eyes.
"Yes. It's the best season of the year." Jimin replied.
"I'm one of the elves of Santa, would like to make a wish? I'll tell him for you." The lad said looking at the tree this time.
Jimin furrowed his brows, unexpected that this guy was believing in an imaginary character. Still, he was fascinated to know that even though this guy was not a child anymore, he, however, believed in this.
"I know Santa Claus' existence is not real, but believing in this fictional character is not as bad as believing the lies of someone. The one, whom you believed will only tell the truth to you but turns out to be a lying machine. Santa's existence is a lie but can't make someone cry."
"And I'm telling you, I'm Santa's friend." The lad chuckled.
"Silly." Jimin giggled.
"I'm serious. Spill it, what do you want for Christmas?"
Jimin shifted his gaze to the lad and thought for a while.
"Mmmm... If you're really Santa's elf or friend... just like what you're saying... please, tell him that I want a bunny for Christmas."
"Bunny?" With a confused tone.
"Yeah! I had a pet before, his name was 'Ddosun'. He was an adorable pup."
Was ⤠indicating a past tragic event.
"You should ask for a pup, why a bunny?"
"It's because... I couldn't replace Ddosun with another. For me, he is the only one."
"You will not replace him, I mean... you're just giving him a sibling. Would it be great if Ddosun is here playing with another pup? You know... being alone has a downside too."
"He's not here anymore, does it make sense?" Jimin shrugged his shoulders.
"So, are you sure you want to have a bunny instead of having a pup?"
"Of course."Â
"Well... I'll tell Santa."
"I just hope to get the cutest bunny of all."
The lad grinned widely.
"Close your eyes and make a wish."
"Am I 7?"
"Your height seems though." He chortled.
Jimin glared at him for making fun of his height.
"I'm not going to talk to you again!"
"Ohh, you're even cuter when you're pouting."
Jimin frowned and crossed his arms. He faced his back to the annoying stranger.
The lad smiled at how adorable Jimin was.
"Jimin-ah" The stranger called.
"Shut up!" Jimin stayed at this position for a few seconds and was confused because of the silence that enveloped the place.
"Hey?" Jimin turned around and was disheartened because the lad was not there anymore. Jimin could only see the other people passed by from afar.
"He left me?!" He uttered with utmost disbelief and disappointment.
"I haven't got to know your name. How am I supposed to find you?" He sighed.
He jolted when he felt something on his shoe.Â
"Holy pizza supreme! What is that?!"
He gaped from what he saw on the ground. It was so fluffy and the cutest thing Jimin had ever seen.Â
"Uwuuu, you're so adorable. Who left you here?" Jimin crouched and held it.
"You're so cute."
Jimin was holding a cute white little bunny. Its orbs were cerulean and shimmering.Â
"I'm going to keep you."
He held the bunny closer to his chest and covered it with his coat. He was still wondering where the lad was but he needed to go home.
"I'll be here whenever you need me."
