"Oh my it's beautiful honey. Wow" mom said as she kept over admiring the engagement ring.
That's my engagement ring.
"And who is this guy?" Dad asked.
"His name is Christopher Baxter a very successful entrepreneur"
"And you got married four days ago?" Dad asked sounding so unsure.
Baxter and I thought we would get papers forged by my one and only best forger Nick Holden to look like we had gotten married. We agreed on a story to tell our parents. But I did tell him it wasn't going to stick for my dad and it looks like it's coming to past.
"Without any family around?" He still asked.
"Christopher and I have been on and off for a while and we really never had plans for to go any further. But we did agree that if we were ever going to get married we would make it civil. A judge and a witness and us obviously, that's why we had no one at the weeding apart from the above mentioned parties. Just simple" I replied.
And believe me that, that was a well rehearsed line.
"Honey don't turn this to an interrogation. She is married she is married. I mean this papers a legit" mom said.
"So are forgers. There are forgers out there that can make fake look real, haven't you watched White Collar. I'm not convinced"
"Stanley"
"I'm not. You have to get married, like weeding dress and Church and party. You know, get to know this kid you are marring and his family"
"Dad planning a weeding takes months. Now we are married, and since you want us to go to church we will but not now. Let's get settled first" I said
"I agree"
"Caroline stop supporting her, you know this is not real. You are not getting your money back till I'm convinced. That means real wedding, real family, real husband, real witnesses. So you are going to have that weeding, and tell your boyfriend that he is not yet welcome to the family" dad said and left the living room.
"I'm sorry dear"
"You did nothing wrong mom"
"Me not helping is wrong"
"It's fine mom. You are doing more than enough. You thinking about helping me is more than enough. Thank you"
"Okay honey but promise me you will take care of yourself"
"I will mom" I said we both stood up and hugged each other.
As soon as I left the house I called Christopher but he didn't pick. I tried a few more times but it didn't go through.
Pick up you asshole. It's a life and death situation.
"Hello" I heard from the other end a very low husky voice.
Finally!
"Where the hell are you?" I asked sounding irritated.
"What….?" He screamed and asked at the same time but not really sounding like a real question.
I really couldn't hear him even though he was saying something because the place was really loud. Wait…
"Are you at a club?"
"No, I'm at the White House, playing basketball with the president" he said now I heard the drowsiness in his voice.
"You drunk?" I asked and I didn't hear anything else for a moment. After I heard him moan and scream and I was so confused on what those expressions were for. I know I was going to regret this but I had to do it anyway cause there was no one else to call.
"Tell me where you are?" I asked but all I heard were drooling sounds. It was totally pointless. I was about to end the call when I heard the sounds made by the Dj from the end of the phone, then I knew where he was. Dj Spins.
"You know what, just stay where you are, don't move an inch"
"Okay mommy…." He dragged and I instantly ended the call.
Whose your mommy. Ergh.

Finally, I'm home. I thought as I arrived at my flat and drove into the garage.
Wondering why I'm so stressed? Well give the thumb up to Mr Fabulous. He made good use of 2 hours of my life and was sure to make it miserable. I'm suffice to say that those where one of the most miserable 2 hours of my life.
He just kept disturbing me with his drunk ass for 2 hours straight, right from the club, to the house, till when he slept.
So I eventually couldn't bring myself to make coffee for him even though I know that my well, hand brewed coffee was the best coffee in the world. I even won the award for the best coffee maker and my coffee was given best coffee award of the year.
There's really no shit like that.
Long story short, I made him the coffee at the end of the day after so much deliberation which made me a few minutes late. But it was worth it, cause he looked really hung over and even though I hated his guts, I think he needed it.
While still in my thought I got into my house and when I looked up I saw a bunch of reporters and stuff. I looked at them as they all stopped and returned the look.
I felt sort of bad for interrupting their interview of whatever they were doing, but I couldn't give two shits though.
"Sorry" I apologised as I left the place. Well you can't blame me. I'm tired from paper work, kicking ass and babysitting an over grown hungover baby.
As I kept moving on I stopped in my tracks as something dawned on me.
No one in this places' key can open the door of the other. I made fucking sure of that for security reasons.
That was my fucking apartment!
I ran back immediately and opened the door with force as I heard them interviewing the person in front of the crowd.
As I entered with a little force it drew a little attraction for the crew members. They kept looking at me as I looked around and confirmed that yes,
Yes, this was damn house.
I looked back at them when I heard the reporter ask
"So where is she?"
I then asked my own question. "Who the hell are you guys? How the hell did you get in here? And please can you leave?"
They just looked at me like I spoke gibberish and some of them turned back like I had not said anything and just made me look stupid and the rest, especially those close to the camera's, they even told me to shush.
What the!
"I'm going to ask one more time" I said as I started on a low key as I tried to block out the noise and laughter from those people, it was annoying me. And the reporter asked again the question she asked again.
"Who the hell are you guys? How the hell did you get in here? And please can you leave?" I screamed this time.
Now they all looked at me and stopped the interview.
Now I had their attention.
Thank you.
"This lady ain't going to ask for the second time" I said as I looked at the puzzled faces of all them, including that of the reporter.
"I take that must be her" she said slowly but it sounded more like a question.
"Yes" I heard a voice from behind one guy say and the guy moved away and I saw him and that his assistant or whatever. I should have known that he was behind this. Why didn't my mind go there first?
Well maybe because you expected him to have been gone by now!
I can't agree with you more mind.
"DC, meet my fiancé" he said with a smug smile.
"Beautiful entrance sugar pie". Nice one.
I told him not to call me that but he knows I won't protest in front of people because of our agreement. Time for the smile.
"Hello dear Christopher. Please you know how I hate publicity and stuff, please can you get them out of here?" I asked as fake politely as I could.
"Good day Ms. I have lots of questions for you and Mr Baxter said we have like 3 more hours and besides the house is fully stocked so we can have some food before we get started with you so you don't get too hungry when you get on set" she said batting her eyes and continued with her interview with Christopher.
I gave him a death stare and he refused to take my advice.
It's like this guys don't know me and this reporter just asked to see fire.
I hate repeating myself.
"Excuse me Ms." I called out to her as she laughed on with Christopher.
She turned and looked at me. "I don't know if you know, but I hate repeating myself. But in your case it seems like you didn't hear me, so I will take it again" I said as I picked up one of my fighting sticks and broke it in two, then continued.
"Looking behind you, just straight ahead, there is a bit long iron looking stuff that is covering a large space which we usually call a door these days. What I want you to do for me is walk your ass out of here with this stupid crew of yours and the hell out of my house before I close my eyes and never come back!" I screamed and before I could say Jack the still silence turned to a rowdy noise as they all ran out like lightning bolts.
"Well, well, well. Someone is all too loud" I heard as I went to close my door. I turned back to look at him.
"What the hell is wrong with you? Why will you bring people into my house like that without my permission"
"Oh you mean this apartment. Well I didn't do anything wrong did I? We are engaged aren't we? I can do whatever in your house, cause what's yours is also mine now"
"Who fed you such bullshit?" I asked in utter disbelief at what he just said.
I turned to his assistant. He rose his hands in surrender and quickly said "it wasn't me".
"I know, they sound more stupid than your looks. But sounds more like your bosses level of stupidity"
"What did you just say?" he asked.
"What? You want me to specify the level?"
"Are crazy?"
"Do I look like I'm in any form of straps?"
"Well I guess you are too blind to see. I called those people here so they can interview me and we can make this relationship a real thing cause my parents didn't buy the civil shit dumb ass"
"News flash I don't like it when you do dumb shit and think it will work because my parents didn't also buy you civil bullshit and if you weren't too drunk yesterday we would have talked and come up with something tangible than bringing bunch of strangers into my house for another plan that is going to fail to cover up your already failed plan. Now who is the dumb ass?" I spat. This guy was really pissing me off as he was crossing lots of boundaries.
"And again I object, apartment. This is not a house. It is a piece of structure that we now call apartment. But on the other hand what I have is a house"
"Please can you use the door of my apartment to get to your house" I said, trying to calm down. But it was not working.
"You think I want to be here either? It's just because my dad took all my shit away that's why I'm in this shit hole of a place!" he shouted
"If you say trash about my place again, sleeping on the streets will be the least of your worries. So you better keep your mommy's boy attitude in check, be a man and stop being a bitch while following every of daddy's rules. Ass hole" I said now letting my anger take over.
"What the did you just say to me right now?" he asked as he advanced to my direction and so did I to his.
"I believe that you have been hearing me so far" I said as we both looked eyes and starred at each other intensely. His assistant stepped in moments later, the heat of the stare still hot as ever.
He was careful to not touch either of us as he stepped into our middle.
Smart boy.
"I strongly think we should take 5 and settle down and…" the kid was saying but we both shoved him to the ground and continued arguing.
Sorry kid. On normal circumstances I wouldn't have done that but I couldn't just let this arrogant prick go.
"Shut the hell up. Both of you. Just shut the fuck up!" he yelled like he was exhausted.
Might I add that it was really loud
I think my ear drums vibrated. And I never took him for a yeller.
"Thank you" he sighed. "It's obvious that this isn't going to work so can we please go back to the office and let this woman be. Thank you Ms. You two have been too kind with filling my ears with painful noise…" he said with no care in the world, forgetting he was talking to his boss, and a fed. But stopped on realization as Christopher gave him a death glare.
"If I may" he said as he lifted his hand up slowly and Christopher nodded. He cleared his throat before he began to speak.
"Sincerely speaking both of you are a horrible match for each other" he started and Christopher scoffed.
"You make the most contributions sir" he added and he looked at him in awe.
"Honesty remember" he said like they had some sort of agreement and Christopher stopped looking.
"But at the same time you also look good for each other. Why because, both of you want the same thing and are in the same situation and have only one goal and driving force, you. You are not going to find someone else to do this in time, besides you have already told your parents about each other, so it's too late to turn back" he said sounding so smart.
Though he was correct and I saw Christopher's face changed as he nodded slightly in agreement.
"Meaning if you guys want to pull this off, you have to work together" he said and I turned to Christopher and he gave me a "what? You too" look.
"That means no surprise interviews or un announced visits. No insulting and jumping at each other's throats, and real matured attitudes" he said.
We both sighed and then nodded our heads.
"So now we need a plan" Christopher said and I rolled my eyes
Captain obvious.
He scoffed, he must have seen me roll my eyes and might have had a clue to what I said in my mind.
"Basically what we need to do is to really sound convincing" I said then they both looked at the clock behind us.
"I guess it's going to be a long night" Christopher said bitterly.
Great!
