Letia raised her head a little and seeing that Valrug's face was less fierce than before, she was able to relax slightly.
Her cheeks were stinging a bit because he rubbed them too hard so she couldn't help but scrunch up her little face into a short grimace.
Valrug furrowed his brows. What was wrong this time?
"It hurts..." Letia's soft voice echoed. Ellendise stared at her cousin with a look of exasperation. To her surprise, the little guy seemed embarrassed and ashamed.
"It h..hurts..? Tch. You're too weak.." Despite his harsh words, he was speaking very softly.
"You have to endure it, okay? Pain will make you grow stronger..atleast that's what my Father would say.." A little shy, he rubbed the back of his neck and looked down, gripping his handkerchief tightly.
"Oh.." Letia was silent for a few seconds as if she was thinking about what he said. Then her face brightened.
"Okay. I'll be good so I can grow stronger. I won't cry." Ellendise felt her heart aching while looking at this ten year old little bunn-
This little girl was too cute and she really deserves the title of being a female lead.
Letia's eyes were clear and bright. Her reddish cheeks made her round face much cuter and her hands grabbed at Valrug's clothes with a hint of dependency.
What shocked her even more was that Valrug didn't stop Letia and was being slightly more tolerant than usual.
'Oh...children are so cute..' Ellendise thought, ignoring that she was also just a child at the moment. Sure enough, little kids were very simple.
Between Valrug's embarrassed expression and Letia's smiling face, this little scene couldn't help but make her smile.
'Right..I'm amazing. These two will definitely stop fighting from now on.'
Or so she thought...
Later that day, Valrug was complaining about his grievances again.
"Ellen, tell this dumb girl to stop following me! I'm a very busy person and I'm not a babysitter!"
Ellendise wondered what made an eleven year old kid so busy. And technically, she was the babysitter watching over them. Although she was thinking about this, Ellendise was calmly sipping her tea while listening to his rants.
"Lady Ellen, I'll definitely try my best not to be a hindrance in the future! I'll study hard, work hard and also grow stronger so I'm going to ask my Daddy to teach me how to wield a sword!"
Ellendise nearly spat her tea when she heard the ten year old little bunn-
'Isn't this a bit too much?' Ellendise tried to imagine a grown up Letia that was wearing armor and holding a sword with a cape on her shoulders.
A light magic swordsman..
Then she compared it to the novel Letia who was always a damsel in distress and crying like an aggrieved and abused animal with pitiful tears in her eyes, prompting people to coax and protect her.
A light magic swordsman versus a damsel in distress...
"..!"
The huge difference exploded in her head. One was pitifully annoying while the other was an admirable person almost like a deity. Her imagination went wild immediately.
Ellendise felt amazed and eagerly held Letia's little hands. This was her golden thigh waiting to be nurtured!
"I am rooting for you. I am also going to start learning magic from now on so we can get stronger together. I will be your mage and you can be my knight." Ellendise did not hide the spark in her eyes.
Letia also marveled at the idea. "That's amazing, Lady Ellen! I'll tell Daddy immediately!"
Valrug who felt out of place, hesitantly asked,"What about me..?"
"You can continue being my toymaker." Ellendise said without glancing at him.
Isn't this a bit too bias? Valrug tried to differentiate his cousin's adoring gaze towards Letia and the somewhat flat tone she used when addressing him.
'What kind of prejudice is this!' The difference in treatment was too big.
Valrug came home sulking and didn't visit for a few days.
Meanwhile, Letia came to his house because she was going to learn swordsmanship from his father.
Valrug could see the Viscount's judgmental gaze towards him.
"Even a little girl is more courageous than you!"
Unable to accept the criticism, he bravely entered the training field. Thus, Valrug ended up learning swordsmanship with Letia for a few weeks but due to his weak body and low motivation towards non-magic related things, he ended up giving up.
Letia persevered and happily cheered him on.
"Valrug, just a little more. Master's training regime is easy! I can feel myself getting stronger!" The little girl puffed up her cute cheeks and showed her nonexistent muscles.
Valrug couldn't help but compare the crybaby from before to the girl standing infront of him while he was sitting on dirt.
'What kind of ■■■ situation is this?!'
At the county, Ellendise was revising her schedule. She officially started to learn basic magic from the tutor that the Count hired.
Lady Sasha was a former teacher at Eiron Academy which gave Ellendise a lot of advantage. Just like her typical cautious self, she asked Lady Sasha about life in the academy.
What kind of place it was or what kind of classes there were? Does status really not matter in school grounds?
How to live a peaceful and quiet life in the academy?
Lady Sasha was very amicable and years of being a teacher gave her a scholarly temperament so she was able to patiently answer all of Ellendise's question.
"Lady Sasha, you never told me what kind of attribute you have." Ellendise was curious about her tutor's background.
Lady Sasha was only in her early 30s. She was unmarried and was a commoner. Yet despite this, she was the tutor that the Count assigned to her.
Although the Count wasn't often biased but surely he would reconsider letting a commoner teach his daughter about magic even though they were a former teacher at Eiron Academy.
Although...maybe it was because she was a former teacher at the academy that made her reputation very prestigious and clean.
"I'm a formulator. Wind and Water are my main attributes. "Lady Sasha showed a simple demonstration of a feather twirling in midair and a small amount of water in the shape of a butterfly.
"So Lady Sasha is an.."
"..Ice mage. You are correct." Ellendise nodded. This woman was very talented. Chesnut brown hair and sparkling green eyes. She has a confident air around her that was easily distinguishable. She was also wearing square shaped glasses.
A small rabbit the size of her palm materialized infront of her and ran in circles around Ellendise.
It was a pretty sight but it also made her remember a very unpleasant memory.
'Rabbit girl, are you listening to me?'
Ellendise involuntarily shivered.
