Chapter 28 - Her Guest (3)

Ellendise didn't stop him when he left. The only thing she was grateful for was being able to live another night so she happily ate the remaining desserts with gusto.

A few days passed without much incident and Ellendise was pestering her Father to allow her to learn swordsmanship.

"Ellen, you are already learning a lot of subjects that isn't normal for your age and your schedule is full. Why do you still want to learn swordsmanship..?"

"Father, if an intruder were to enter my room and he was carrying a mana disturbance tool, I wouldn't be able to defend myself no matter how good I am with magic. To put it simply, one's physical abilities must also be tempered to ensure safety."

If this didn't work, Ellendise was going to beg and cry, then mercilessly guilt the Count into agreeing. Fortunately, the Count was reasonable and found the logic in her words.

He still hadn't forgotten what happened a month ago where Ellendise's room was blown away. His worry became obvious and when he hurriedly left his office, Ellendise was pretty sure he was going to meet with the Countess and talk about this issue.

Her magic lessons with Lady Sasha was also progressing very well. She was getting good at magic theory but aside from added knowledge, it didn't do much in improving her magic.

Ellendise once again made desserts in the kitchen. By now, she had conquered the kitchen staff through her amazing skills.

To her surprise, Cestine came to visit.

"Ellen, you didn't come to visit me so I came to you! Don't tell Cestine's mom but I snuck away!"

Ellendise blinked somewhat dumbly. She was at the garden having tea by herself. Rachel and Jill were on opposite sides of her and was helping her by sampling all the desserts she made.

"Of course, I won't tell your mom. I'm sorry for not visiting sooner, I was busy with a lot of things." Ellendise truly forgot about the fairy and she didn't think Cestine would come and find her either.

"That's okay! Cestine will be staying with Ellen for a long time! Mom is away so I'm bored!"

The little fairy with flower hands tapped her cheek repeatedly as she said this.

Rachel and Jill finally looked up from their plates.

"My lady?"

Ellendise smiled.

"Cestine came to visit."

"Oh my."

"Really?!"

Cestine ignored them and flew down on the plate fo desserts.

"This smells nice! Cestine wants this!"

"Of course, feel free to taste them."

The fairy heard no more and promptly shoveled the food down her throat. Although Rachel and Jill couldn't see her, they could clearly see the desserts being eaten away by an invisible figure.

Both of them shared a look and quietly focused on their food.

"Ellen, this is good! I've never tasted something so delicious before!"

"Thank you. I made them myself. I'm glad you like it."

"Ellen, you're amazing!"

Ellendise smiled.

Cestine flew around her for a while before sitting on her shoulder and rubbing her round belly. The satisfied burp also satisfied Ellendise's ego.

Even her baking skills could satisfy a fairy! There was nothing that she was afraid of any longer!

Or so she thought..

Night came and the juvenile Archduke went to visit her again. His timing was so perfect that Cestine was busy gobbling up the food on her balcony table, ignoring the unwelcomed visitor.

"What's this? Your fairy friend?" He looked at the disappearing desserts with great curiosity.

"I've never had a fairy's head before. Do they even have teeth? I wonder what there insides are like.." While he was voicing out this disturbing words, Ellendise was calmly sipping her tea.

Chamomile tea helps her fall asleep faster. She didn't think that it would cost her. Her unexpected visitor really made her feel a bit frustrated at her choice of tea.

"Ellen, who is this rude mortal? I don't like him!"

"Ah.. I also don't know. He visits my room during the night and likes to share ideas about decorations made from body parts. " She explained to Cestine. The fairy harumph'ed very loudly and sat on her shoulder, tapping her cheek repeatedly.

"Tell him to go away! Cestine's mom said it isn't very nice to have a man enter a woman's quarters at night! He's a bad mortal! Bad!"

So fairies also have this kind of privacy thing.

Although she really didn't have the ability to drive this great ancestor away, the only thing she could do was rely her friend's words.

"Forgive me for sounding impatient but my fairy friend would like you to leave my quarters. It is not only improper but also uncomfortable due to our gender difference. I assume that you would also feel very uncomfortable if someone were to enter your bedroom without permission, yes?" Careful to keep her tone in a polite manner, Ellendise smiled.

"Yea! Yea! Leave, mortal!" Cestine repeated in an annoyed voice while shaking her flower hands and attempting to form a ...fist?

Despite her warning, the Archduke was still an insane but sane psychopath so he didn't listen to her words and treated her like air.

"Tell that fairy to show herself infront of me. Is it scared? Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. Even an insect should know self-preservation."

Ellendise slowly glanced at the said 'insect.' Her face didn't look good and she was slowly turning black.

She didn't know how it was possible but Cestine grew larger and materialized in thin air. Her large appearance that was dyed in black was terrifying and akin to an evil spirit.

"Stupid mortal, you say that again! Cestine isn't an insect! You're bad! A bad mortal!"

Due to rage from the insult, Cestine lunged herself towards the Archduke. Their two bodies flew out of the balcony. She ran outside to look if they had fallen but unexpectedly saw the two wrestling in midair like two wrestlers.

Cestine's face was dark and her pores were glowing blue. She was growing larger and larger until she was twice the size of an average human.

It was a fearful sight. Seeing a cloaked figure battling against what looked like an ancient evil spirit. Naturally, this attracted the attention of the residents of the county.
