Anna's heart felt heavy.
When her parents died, she felt the same. But the tears she shed for them weren't paramount to the ones she cried over her grandmother.

It was only then that she remembered how Kristofer hugged her and held her while she cried the entire evening.
Slowly shifting to face him, Anna found herself staring at his closed eyelids.
He looked rather peaceful like that. His face was relaxed and his chest heaved in and out steadily.
This was the same man she was to marry. The same man she would wake up to if and only if they would share the bed.
