Kristofer narrowed his eyes, his reflection staring at him.
He let out a sigh. For the entire afternoon, he tried not to think about it. But, unfortunately, his efforts were in vain. The little time spent with Grace allowed him a brief escape. But after, he was once again left with his thoughts.
Clenching and unclenching his fist, Kristofer stared right back in his reflection. He wasn't scared about confronting his mother. But he just didn't want to.
Did he even need to ask why she did it? Not really. Upon careful speculation, Kristofer drew a conclusion that his mother wanted to make sure Anna Mendoza knew that there was no turning back. Things were set and with the announcement, she has nowhere to run.
