Kristofer Almodiel stared at the message his mother left for him in his work desk.
She could have sent it through instant message. But no, instead of using her device, she took the time to pin a note on his desk regarding her itinerary for the day.
Kristofer slapped a hand over his forehead. His mother could be a real pain most of the time and the thing was; he couldn't do anything about it.
Distracted and wanting to know what was going on, Kristofer got on his feet and began pacing by his desk.
His mind was swirling once again. At this point, he might as well just lose his grip on sanity.
"Deep breaths, mate. Deep breaths."
He took the time to calm himself before settling back in his chair. Shifting his focus back prior to what he was doing, Kristofer took a deep breath and allowed his mind to go blank for a few seconds.
While he was at it the office phone started ringing. Muttering a curse, he picked it up on the third ring.
