Chereads / The Color Orange / Chapter 10 - Chapter Ten: BurnVille

Chapter 10 - Chapter Ten: BurnVille

I am gladly driving this van straight back to the ruins of Burnville, the GhostTown. I look back to Ashlyn just screaming and squirming as she doesn't notice that she is going to die tonight.

"I love you and your ambitious side, baby." Jack said, and I smiled.

"I love you too sweetheart." I said, and I drove faster.

I am like fifteen minutes away, as the GPS says. I already know that mother and father are there right now and so are my sisters. Fifteen minutes is so long, but at least it's long in beautiful scenery. No issues with the beautiful scenery I drive by. It's filled with beautiful flower trees and animals that I could just pet right now. I decided not to because I have a special delivery with Ashlyn.

I finally got there. My god, it was so annoying to drive through that forest for an hour and a half. I love Jack, but never take him on any sort of road trip. He will do nothing but talk to you, over and over and over and over. I stopped the car and I texted mother, saying that I am here with Ashlyn and Jack. I see my sisters rush out, as they grabbed Ashlyn's asleep body that we stuffed with anesthesia bullets.

Don't worry Ashlyn, you will die a slow and painful death. Everyone knows it. We all walked into the castle ruins and we locked her in the same cell, but we locked the window, and we tied her up with fireproof rope and so if she tries to escape that way again, her eyes will burn to a crisp and she'll go blind for a couple of days. I put tape on her mouth, and I decided to laugh because I was in the full blown mood too.

-Damara-

"Why is Ashlyn not in her room?" I asked everyone, and they all shrugged.

"Wait. Ashlyn isn't in her room!" Mads shouted, and then everyone started panicking.

"We need to go find her!" Tyler said and I sighed, knowing that he has the keys.

We all hopped into the car and we decided to take a half an hour trip to Green Lake to find Ashlyn. We have to find her before Leah decides to capitate her right in front of us. For a video, and then demolish the world as we know it. We can't allow that to happen. The society was created to stop Dysio from crashing the entire world into smithereens. Alia is driving while we sit there, and just text Ashlyn on our phones. Maybe she's not kidnapped.

-Leah-

You know, everything is going accordingly to plan. Lina and Lana are guarding Ashlyn and Luna is out here with me as we play a game of online poker with strangers on the internet, once again. Jack is preparing the weapons for destruction with Katherine and Dysio, and we are all perfectly situating ourselves, getting ready to destroy the world.

"Leah, Ashlyn is awake." Lina said, and I walked with Lina into the room with Ashlyn that we locked her up in.

"Why hello there. As you can tell, you are back here again. And this time, you're not getting out." I said, and Ashlyn started shaking. Awwww, she's scared of me. That's too bad.

"You know that if you destroy the world, you won't be able to get the colors you want. Correct?" She asked me and I laughed.

"I would start a society of my own. I would start a society where no one is allowed to see color and you won't be alive to see it." I said, and Ashlyn gulped.

"I just wonder, if you are going to kill me at some point, why don't you kill me now, and get it over with?" Ashlyn asked me and I looked at her, and then thought about it.

"Why, to taunt your mother of course. If she agrees to get rid of the color world, we wouldn't have to do this to you." I said, and Ashlyn sighed, looking around at the room once again.

"This time, you actually won't get out." Lina said and I walked out of the room.

"She's in perfect condition, baby." I said to Jack as he was preparing weapons.

"So wait, Leah, what is your goal here?" Jack asked me, and I just looked at him.

"Well, my goal is to get the right to wear whatever color I want anywhere I want without burning up, and for my father to get his powers back. We plan on taking over the world. And those who don't cooperate, die. Those who agree to live under our rule, stay alive and well and healthy, of course." I said, and Jack nodded, smiling at me.

"That's amazing. I love you, babe." Jack said, and he grabbed my hips and smiled, as he made eye contact with me again.

"I love you too." I said, and I smiled.

"Let's take this society down together." He said, and I nodded, as him and I decided to walk outside to the forest together.

---

We found this cottage, and I decided to move into the cottage. The furniture was perfectly set up in there and everything just, sitting there. Then, I saw a girl walking to the cottage, and I smiled.

"Hi. I'm Addison, and I am here with my two-year-old daughter, Livi. Who are you two lovely people?" This woman asked me, and she looked like she was my age. She looked seventeen.

"I am Leah, and this is my boyfriend, Jack. We just found this cottage. I am so sorry. I had no idea it was yours. I will leave." I said, and she shook her head.

"No. We can build you one just like it." She said, and I raised my eyebrows.

"Really?" I asked her, and she nodded.

"Yes. If it wasn't for the color society, nature wouldn't be growing anymore. Nature wouldn't exist. You know that in the legend, everything was black and colorless? The only people who could see colors were Dysio and Alia. Wood wouldn't be brown, it would just be black. The grass, it wouldn't be green. It would be white. I thank Alia for what she did. She did justice to this community." Addison said, and I raised my eyebrows.

"Wait. So, if Alia didn't cast that spell on Dysio, then everything would be bland and only the orange mark would see it?" I asked her, and she nodded.

"Yes. That is why I am thankful for what she has done for everyone. That's why I am not upset about it." Addison said, and I looked at Jack.

"Where exactly is your daughter?" I asked her, and Addison looked over at the pond, and there was a little girl playing in the pond.

"Blue!" Livi shouted, and I nodded.

"Yes. That is blue. You're right." I said, and I looked at Jack, gulping. I realized what I have done wrong. I can't destroy this community.

I helped Addison make a second cottage for Jack and I, and once it's finished, I move some sweat off of my forehead with my arm and elbow. I hugged Jack, and then I hugged Addison.

"Thank you so much." I said, and she nodded.

"Anytime." Addison said, and I smiled.

---

After all of the furniture was built, I sat down on the couch and Jack sat next to me, holding my hand.

"Jack, I can't destroy the community." I said, and Jack looked at me with a concerned facial expression.

"You have always wanted to do this." Jack said, and I looked down at my dress.

"Well, if we get rid of the color society, we get rid of colors for everyone, except Alia, Katherine, Dysio, and Ashlyn." I said, and Jack nodded.

"You're right. We have to stop your parents." Jack said, and I sighed, trying to think of a way to stop my parents and my sisters from destroying colors for the rest of their lives.

---

I layed down in the bed that was made. She made it out of goose feathers and it feels amazing. I looked out the window to the beautiful view. The moon, the trees, the pond, and the fish in the pond. It looks exactly like the way I dreamed of. I then looked at Jack, as he changed into pajamas, and layed next to me in the bed.

"This is actually very comfortable." Jack said, and I giggled, turning his way, kissing him on the lips. It felt amazing to be next to Jack and looking out at the beautiful night sky.

-Damara-

"We need to stop Leah and her family from demolishing the colors from the society." I said, and everyone in the car nodded.

"I looked up that without the society, there are no colors left and that everything will go white and black, and some shades of grey!" Mads said, and Alia looked concerned.

"It's true." She said, and she started driving the car even faster.

On the way to Green Lake, we see these two cottages that are together, very close, and I look very closely through the window, to see that Leah and Jack are inside.

"Stop the car. STOP!" I said, and Alia stopped the car.

I looked to see if it was actually Jack and Leah cuddling with each other in that bed, and I opened the door.

"It's Leah and Jack." I said, and Mads, Alia, Tyler, and I got out of the car, walking to them. I am so angry at Leah right now that I need to give her a piece of my goddamn mind for what she has done to Ashlyn.

I bang on the door to the cottage and she answered it. I punched her right in the face, and I looked at her as she got a purple bruise on her face and I raised my eyebrows, and then Mads looked at me with a concerned look.

"That's what you get for trying to kill Ashlyn." I said, and Leah looked at Jack.

I walked into the house and I looked straight into Leah's eyes.

"Where. Is. Ashlyn?" I asked her, and Leah gulped, looking at Jack again. I grabbed her jaw and turned her to me.

"WHERE. IS. SHE?!" I asked in a more aggressive tone as she looked straight at me.

"She is in BurnVille. The ruined city." Leah said, and I slapped her.

I do not believe her. I think she is bullshitting me, but trust me, I am not stupid. I am smarter than to believe her lies. I walked back to the car and hopped in the back seat where Mads was when we were on our way there.

-Mads-

"Tell us where Ashlyn is or else I will kill you with all the strength in my fucking body." I said, and Leah gulped.

"I was serious. She is in BurnVille. In the castle. The ruined town of BurnVille." Leah said, and I slapped her.

"The truth." I said, and then Jack stood in front of her. I folded my arms, and raised an eyebrow, looking right at him.

"She IS telling the truth." He said, and I smirked.

"I'm listening." I said, and Tyler and Alia started paying attention.

"We need to stop her family. And she agrees with me." Jack said, and I nodded.

"Good for you." I said, and Leah and Jack started walking me to BurnVille.

---

It has been forty-five minutes of walking, and I see the castle of Ruins of BurnVille. She wasn't joking when she said that her family was located here. She walked me in and I saw Ashlyn in the room, chained up. I looked at her, and I started to worry and concern.

"Great! You two are back. And with another prisoner." Katherine said, and she nodded, giving me to her mother.

"I am so sorry." Leah whispered to me, and now I am thrown into the same dungeon with Ashlyn.

"ASHLYN!" I shouted, and Ashlyn was muffled in happiness.

"I am so sorry I wasn't able to save you." I said, and Ashlyn nodded.

Katherine tied me up with fireproof rope and she put tape on my eyes. They removed Ashlyn's tape from her mouth, to let her speak her words to me as we were locked up in here together.

"Have they done anything to you?" I asked her, and she shook her head.

"No, nothing yet. Well, one thing." Ashlyn said, and I looked concerned.

"What one thing?" I asked her, and she started crying.

"They gave me a slit in my mark, removing magic until it heals." Ashlyn said, and I looked at her.

"I am so sorry." I said, and I grabbed a towel with hot water from the left of me and I tried to make it soften.

"Not helping. AHH. AHHHH! It burns, Mads!" Ashlyn shouted, and I stopped, putting the towel back in the hot water.

"I am so sorry." I said, and I looked at how much pain Ashlyn is in, and I sighed, worrying about everyone else.

"Was anyone else with you?" Ashlyn asked me, and I sighed.

"Yes. Damara, Tyler, and Alia were with me. Tyler and Damara wouldn't stop bickering about how Tyler keeps flirting with you, and whatever. It was so annoying." I said, and Ashlyn chuckled. We wanted to hug each other, but we were tied to chairs.

I heard the door open behind us, and it was Katherine and Lina, with a knife. I started to jump back in my chair, and Ashlyn looked calm as hell. I don't understand. How is she so calm in a situation like this? She is about to fucking die!

-Damara-

I see Leah and Jack walking back without Mads and I get out of the car. I looked right at Leah's face, and she looked guilty.

"What did you do?" Tyler asked her, and I looked at Tyler, and then I looked back at Leah.

"What did you two do?" I asked them, and Jack hugged Leah.

"I had to lock her up with Ashlyn. If I didn't, I would look suspicious." Leah said, and I ran up to her and I had the urge to fucking slap her, but Tyler and Alia held me back, to make sure that I wouldn't hurt her, no matter how much might I had in my body.

"We need to find a way to get Ashlyn and Mads out of there." Leah said, and I looked even fucking angrier.

"You're damn right. She's my girlfriend and she means the world to me. I swear, if anything happens to her, you are going to pay. With your life." I said, as I grabbed a knife out of my back pocket.

"Woah, woah, cousin. Calm down." Tyler said, and he took the knife.

"We have to camp out here. It's what's safe. None of you can go to BurnVille until I say so. My friend Addison can help you with the cottage, while I go back to the ruins." Leah said, and I wanted to fucking hit her so damn bad.

---

We are now sitting in our big cottage, our three bedroom cottage. We each have a room of our own, and good thing we brought clothing, since we knew this was going to be a long trip to find Ashlyn. I take the small room, Tyler takes the medium room, and Alia takes the bigger room. It's not much bigger.

"We need to start discussing." Alia said, and I sighed, going back to my room.

"We have to trust Leah." Tyler said, and that is the one thing I did not want to do. I do not want to trust that gremlin. That gremlin is a devil and I do not play games with devils.

I layed down in my room and thought about the mystery of the world. I thought about how I could get Ashlyn and Mads out by myself. Without having to trust that rat. I hear someone open the door, and I stand up, walking outside to see it is said gremlin.

"Hello. I understand that you guys don't like me, but I promise I have good intentions now. I have intentions to stop my family from destroying this entire society. Alia put it on everyone for a good reason." Leah said, and I nodded sarcastically.

"She is being very serious." Jack said, and I nodded without sarcasm this time. I trust Jack, but not the gremlin.

"Okay, we need to plan this fast. She is planning on killing Ashlyn in three weeks, just to make the death long and painful. We need to find a way to demolish my parents for once." Leah said, and Jack nodded, putting his hand on her back.

-Ashlyn-

"Okay, time for your second cut." Lina said, as she brought in a knife, and Mads backed up in her chair as I stood still.

Lina decided to cut me first, and she went slow and painful. I flinched in my facial expressions and I looked at my arm. The cut was about five inches long, you could say. Very painful cut. I feel the blood come down and drop onto the floor. I looked at Mads, who was about to throw up. Blood completely disgusts her.

I looked at Lina, who looks like she feels bad for the cut and she walked out of the room, feeling guilty. I can just tell on her face that she feels guilty. These are my half sisters, and they are plotting to kill me.

-Damara-

"Okay, so, I think that we should try to break in and just, kill Dysio with the one weakness he has, a stab to the heart.. With glass." Alia said, and I shook my head.

"No." Leah and I both said at the same time.

"We need to be careful about how we do this. We have the weapon right here, which is the only weapon that can kill him." Leah said, as she held a huge glass stake with a carved heart on the top, and I nodded.
