I groan in discomfort before blinking my eyes open. The stray light which leaked in from the opened window shone down on my face, blinding me temporarily as I rubbed at my eyes.
I cradled my forehead in my hand, my head feeling clearer than usual in comparison to the few days I had been here. As I lifted my hand off to accommodate the abundance of light pouring in, my eyes adjusted to my surroundings.
I surveyed the area, taking in my surroundings with a sigh. The ceiling and the surroundings were still unfamiliar yet there was a feeling somewhere at the back of my head telling me I knew this place.
I moved to sit up, my back immediately giving way as my entire body began to ache. I collapsed back onto the bed, groaning internally as even stretching felt like torture and all I could do was lay still like a dead fish.
