Mel called out to the tree with half red and half green leaves living in the cave inside him. The answer came soon after. Although no one except Mel could hear it, they witnessed its effect with their eyes.
"Has the newcomers' vine increased in thickness, or does it seem to me?"
"I have noticed it too. It has grown as big as two fingers!"
The students of the Plant Department, who were watching the struggle excitedly, immediately sensed the change. The Alchemy Department students sitting at the right side of the Plant Department students also seemed to feel that something was going on. One voice was louder than the others, out of their whispering arguments.
"With such a difference in size, it's strange that the struggle is still not over!"
