....................

The wind blew harshly as I stared at the world before me, for years my mother and I had survived on our own and now the desire to be loved had come between us. Though Aria had tried to make her mother slow down she knew she had gone about it the wrong way, so Aria figured her time was up especially since the decision she had taken had now landed her mother at the hospital with no hope of recovery.

"I'm sorry but we've tried everything we could and even spoke to the best surgeons we knew, the damage is impossible to repair, we will soon have to switch off the life support machine, and if she can't breathe on her own then I am truly sorry." the doctor said, his face filled with grief as he spoke to Aria.

But Aria didn't want to grieve, she wanted solutions and help, she wanted assistance and not bad news, she wanted hope and not another round of bullets to her hope.

"Find another doctor, another surgeon, there are thousands in this world, one will know what to do!" Aria snapped at him.

"Aria-"

"Shut up Harry, that's my mother, that's the only person I have left in my life and I will be damned if I got to lose her because of you!" Aria snapped.

"That's not fair Aria, you need to calm down," James said.

"Doctor if it is money that you desire, I will fulfill it, all I ask is that you please find another and let them save my mother. I beg of you, she's all I have left." Aria cried as she drew closer to the doctor, she stared into the doctor's green eyes and saw the sympathy he had for her.

"I'm sorry," he murmured before he left.

So now she was here, staring at the beautiful scene before her eyes, taking her last breaths with no thoughts reprimanding her of the decision she had taken. Anyone who could see the dancer right now would think that she had seen the worst in life and though she had become everything she had envisioned.

She had never thought that life would make an example out of her, she had always assumed that her life would be about overcoming growing up with a single mother and making both their dreams come true but instead that wasn't the lesson.

She figured that her lesson was this, 'Never assume that you stop learning or growing, life will always find a way to humble you even if you think, you've been humbled enough.'

Aria didn't feel the cold, she had turned off every emotion and sensor in her, having figured the best way to come before death was to be brave. She didn't want to enter hell crying and screaming, she was weak enough, and right now doing this was enough to get her deeper into the gateway of the abyss.

So she stood, and let herself walk closer to where the world ended to her, she let her eyes stay focused on the target and once she reached there she looked down and saw how there would be no way for her to survive. No best surgeons would save her life or give anyone else the stupid speech.

She turned to give the world one more look and before she could fall backwards, she heard it. The sound of the crunching leaves and someone drawing closer, she first thought it was James but she had left him far back for him to not find her easily.

So she let her curiosity buy her lifetime for a moment more as she took a step forward so that she could see who it was, she waited and then figured it was just an animal but then she heard it again and involuntarily her emotions began to react as though acid and substance.

It annoyed her that just as she was not about to care, her emotions were easily turned on by something unseen, so she looked around, trying to understand what type of joke life was trying to play.

She didn't like it nor did it sit easily on her but then it stepped out and she heard another from the side do the same. She immediately wondered who was the other, which mirrored the first steps. She was allured by how easily they moved together, both not missing the beat as if they were half of the other.

Their cloaks hid their identity and it scared Aria, what if they were serial killers what if they would ruin her. What if they would hurt her more but she knew, her death would not be easy, in fact she knew it would be long lasting.

"W-who are you?" she questioned.

"Whatever you wish to call us." came the voice of the one on the right.

"I prefer devils though." the one on the left said.

"We came to offer you your true heart's desire."

"A wish for a wish."

"And why would I trust you to grant my wish?" she questioned as she watched them take another step forward slowly advancing to her.

"We can't be worse than what you wish to do." the one from the left said.

"What he meant was, this will not harm you, in fact, it will give you what you desire and more." came the one on the right.

"Devils are meant to be cunning." she murmured,

"Who said we weren't?"

"Behave..."

"Let her jump."

"Behave."

"Aria, do it. I dare you." the one on the left demanded.

So she did.
