Chapter 57 - Chapter Fifty_Seven: Stench Of Blood & Ashes

Aria didn't know what was happening as she watched the man scream loudly, she stared at him with shock and fear continued to drum through her body as if an alarm was ringing within her. She hopelessly stared at him and a part of her wondered had she just gotten the man killed or missed the chance to save him.

He pulled his chair back and began to vomit but instead of it being the contents of the food or blood, it was just black. As though he had taken too many ashes and his body had decided to empty it out of his system. She didn't know what to do or whether to scream at him to stop. She just stared and hoped it would stop, but the black slowly started turning into red and she felt a hand touch her on the shoulder, causing her to gasp as she hadn't expected it.

She heard another scream and turned to see the person who had touched her scream as though in agony. Yet when he vomited, he let out blood and it caused Aria to scream as she didn't realize what was going on. Had there been more than one person who was posioned, or had she missed something important. She looked back and forth, feeling the fear envelope her and begin to choke her and suddenly everything went dark.

Quin had never seen anything like what she had witnessed, she knew the one person's food that had been poisoned, it had been hard to spot it but since she was used to finding it, it took her fifteen seconds, yet now as she stared at the young men that stopped vomiting and just resorted to coughing. She wondered if the person who had been responsible for dishing up the posion was the one to also vomit out the blood as punishment. And if the black vomit had been the cleanser to removing the poison.

She heard the door open and turned to watch Sal enter the room, his expression dropped as he saw the servants standing far away from the fainted woman and the two-man who had stopped vomiting, if anyone walked into this room, they would think Quin had harmed them and that their servants were afraid of her. When in all reality, it had been the human who had done all of this.

Quin stared at the surroundings and slowly stood, walking to check the man who had been the first to vomit. She touched his forehead and immediately her eyes were overcome with his aura and she could feel and see everything. She could see his dark moments and memories, slowly catching sight of every bad he had done plus a specific memory that caught her attention.

When she was done she pulled back and held the man's chin, staring into his eyes as he slowly realized what she had just seen. "M-m-i-i-s-s Qu-in, I-I," he stuttered,

"Shush, let me take away all your pain and be your friend. Now let me see her face, my dear love, let me see her dear face and take away all the pain." She cooed as she placed two of her fingers over both of his eyes, tapping into his memories again until she got what she found and pulled back.

"Precious memories you have, such precious memories." She whispered, before reaching for his neck and literally wringing the skin of his flesh upwards, dragging it up and off as though a pair of stubborn clothing. She basked in the screams that he let out letting her lavish at how it slowly became her favorite instrument. The blood pooled itself around her and she didn't mind, it would serve as a reminder to everyone who thought it was wise to double-cross the dark realm.

When his screams stopped, she also stopped and threw him to the side before slowly standing up, holding the skin of his front face up and throwing it towards the servants causing them to gasp but keep quiet. Knowing that if they screamed it would be a problem. Quin headed straight to the other man and tapped onto his forehead, taking a dive into his dark memories.

She relished at how there seemed to be many files but of petty crimes from his past lives and nothing big. Then they grew but nothing that interested her until she caught something that made her smile. She chuckled darkly as she took it in as though a cold drink on a sunny day. When she pulled back, she laughed and ruffled his hair before pulling back.

"You are going to have to carry her Prince Sal, as the servants are too weak, they will probably die too quick for anyone to save, and I'm sure you don't want them to." She said to him as she stood. "I will explain everything to you later,"

Tsk tsk, Quin wondered, this one was a powerful one and she would grow to be more powerful than the King. To tell him or not, she wondered, basking in the lovely thought that maybe they found the one.
