So I did and I walked towards her, feeling the water below my feet. Feeling the water that dripped onto the floor and stepping into it. I felt relieved to not feel the pain and to have everything just disappear.
I watched her reach out to me. Her hand outstretched prepared to pull me into an embrace of death. Prepared to hold me and be my protector against life. Willing to blow away the little petals of pain that had forced themselves to be stuck in my path.
Yet before I could touch her, I felt someone wrap their arms around me, pulling me back harshly from the very pretty dream that had kept me planted.
