A squeaking noise filled Akito's room. Yet, he seemed deep in his sleep. Finally, the window opened slowly, and the cold breeze of the morning caused Akito to rise out of his bed in a sleepy defense position.
"Who's there?" He shouted with his eyes half-open.
A figure stood there, silent. Unable to make out who it was, Akito squinted until he heard.
"It's me, Melin." She said as she stepped into his room.
"Oh, what is it?" He said as he dropped his funny defense stance.
"Are you ready to depart for training?" She asked him as she lowered the window.
"Inclined, but my parents are going to arrive shortly." He told her in a daze. "How are we going to tell them that their child is a monster who's going to train his monstrous powers." He uttered while yawning. Unable to think of a way to depart for the trip without alarming his parents, he became weary and lied back down on his bed. "What are we going to tell them." He asked Merlin for advice as he looked over to her.
"Well, well, am I not the right person for this?" She asked him with a slanted smile.
"W-What do you mean?" He asked her as he rose out of his bed from curiosity.
"I can manipulate people's memories, but it comes at a massive cost of physical energy." She said as she placed her hand on her chin. "I was advised not to use this by my mother, but it seems we are against the odds." She said as she shrugged her shoulders.
"Oh, I see," replied Akito with disappointment. "I also have school." He informed her once again as he sat back down.
"Hm, indeed. Education is essential, so I have devised a strategy for that as well." She said as she walked over to his computer. "My subordinate, Aida, will take care of the school side, and you can inform the ones who know the truth about your departure." She explained to him while she took a seat.
"Eh, that's incredible." He shouted as he jumped out of his bed. "But, how will I explain it to her?" He said as he looked down.
"Undoubtedly. Now, please hurry and change. I need your parents home as soon as possible." She explained to him while she placed her chin on his computer chair.
"Ahh, hmm, right, but do you mind turning around?" He asked her as his cheeks flushed red.
"No problem." She answered as she placed her hands over her eyes. However, she tried peaking, but Akito caught her. "Get out." He shouted while blushing. He demanded that she step out until he was ready, yet she refused.
Akito grabbed her by her slender wrist and stood her up. Standing near his face, he blushed and looked down, only to notice her seductive curved body in a tight dress. "Hah." He expressed with pressure. "But, I have already seen everything." She said as she got pushed outside gently. "T-That doesn't help anything, pervert." He said as he slammed his door shut.
"Don't come in until I say so!" He screamed behind the closed door.
Merlin giggled behind the closed door until she noticed Satoshi step out of his room while closing the door behind himself.
"Good Morning, Satoshi." She gently greeted him while giggling.
"Good morning to you too, Merlin." He greeted her back with a slightly defensive attitude.
"What's the matter, elder brother?" She asked him as she dropped her hands by her hips.
"Nothing much, just getting ready to depart for the trip." He informed her as he stepped into the bathroom.
"Trip?" She repeated back to him with confusion.
"Ah, yes. After my parents get home, I will be coming with you guys." He said as he washed his face with warm water.
"Coming with us, but why?" She questioned him and placed her back onto the wall next to the door.
"My brother's an idiot. You, on the other hand, I know nothing about you." He said as he picked up his toothbrush. "How can I trust someone like you with my younger brother?" He said while slowly placing toothpaste onto his brush.
"I assure you of his safety." She said as she held out her hand in front of herself. "My mother and I were purely created to serve Akito at this moment." She said with a soft expression.
"Serve Akito? But why?" He said as he pulled out the brush from his mouth.
"Your brother, Akito, is a symbol that must prevail." She said as she lifted herself off the wall. "My two-thousand-year journey will end in this cycle. Then, finally, I will achieve what I have set to achieve." She said as she walked away. "Your brother will be free of this curse." She declared with a determined look while aura leaked out of her.
Sensing the determination and the truth that leaked along with her aura, Satoshi gargled water in his mouth and spat it out. "You will have my acceptance for now, but not my trust, Merlin." Satoshi declared as he lifted his head. "Mark my words, Merlin, if you dare to work against us in the slightest manners, you will live to regret it." He swore as he looked into the mirror with a dark expression.
"Thank you, Satoshi." She sincerely showed appreciation for his willingness. "Now, shall we get down to business?" She said as she opened the door to Akito's room.
"Ahh!" He screamed while trying to cover his body.
"Calm down. I have already seen everything." She calmly stated.
"Get out!" Akito shouted at her as he threw a sock towards her way.
"Nasty." She expressed while dodging it.
Noticing the commotion, Satoshi rushed out of the bathroom and towards the pair. "What're you two doing?" Asked Satoshi while he walked up to Akito's room.
"Eh?" He expressed while looking at his naked brother.
"M-Merlin, stop!" He demanded as he closed the door.
"Okay, okay." She said as she left the door half-closed.
"You, what do you mean you have seen everything?" Satoshi asked her while blushing.
"Right, I forgot to mention it. To put it simply, every time I look into a person's eyes, whether a second ago or since the day of their birth. I can see all the memories of said person." She explained to the two amazed brothers.
"My magical eyes allow me to see into a person's past. The Eyes of Past Glance." She further explained as her eyes shined with a purple glow.
"A-Amazing." Shouted the two stunned brothers in the excitement of her prowess.
