Chapter 32 - Chapter 10: It's Early, But Unfolding Accordingly (5)

"The curse on me, huh?" Said Akito to himself as he put on his shirt. "Am I the curse?" He asked himself. Walking over to the computer, he placed his chair into its original place. Walking out, he decided to ignore the two and head right down to the fridge. "I'm hungry, but I also don't wanna eat," Akito told himself as he slammed it shut. As the two followed him downstairs, they could notice that something was off with him, but seemingly they both chose not to utter a single word.

"I'm not sure, but these dreams I've had lately seem so lucid," Akito told the two that were standing behind him. "I saw myself, a muscular version at least." He said, a tear trickling down his face. "I saw myself pierced through the heart. I felt my power drain, my spirit weaken, and my will fade." he further explained to Satoshi and Merlin. "I was lifeless, surrounded by bodies, malice filled this dark world. I was dead." He said as he looked over to them. "I don't want to die, but I also I'm not ready to watch this world die." He said as he held his head in confusion. "I have been feeling so distant. Every time I achieve something, something else will follow up twice as hard as the previous." He said as a stream of tears started to flow down his cheeks.

"Merlin, I keep sensing a mysterious gaze. I see a mysterious smirk that keeps following me everywhere. I keep feeling a mysterious way." He said as he looked at her. "Who or what am I?" He asked straightforward. "I'm lost, but I also feel like I need to do something." He said as he looked down. "I need to attain something, but it feels unattainable." He said as his brother walked up to him.

Satoshi raised his arm and slapped his little brother across the face. "Shut up, will you?" Satoshi said with tears in his eyes. "You are you, Akito." He said as he drew his arm down. "As mysterious as you are, I will never stop caring for you. I will always fight for you," Satoshi said with his head down. Then, looking up slowly, he brought his brother closer, hugging him. "So, fight for yourself, and if you can't, then fight for the sake of others!" He said as he closed his eyes slowly.

Those words struck a chord within Akito, causing him to look back at all the people that meant something in his life. "Riceball granny, mom, dad, older brother, Kazuto, Yui, and Rias." He said to himself as his eyes welled up. "This confusing state I am in, I will end it." He said to himself while crying.

"You're lost, so what? Find a new path!" Satoshi said as he tightened the hug. "If you can't find a new one, create a new one!" He shouted at him with tears flowing down onto Akito's shoulder. "As long as you have a purpose, you will never lose! Find the answers you need, and come back to me twice as strong, both physically and mentally." Satoshi informed his brother while hugging him.

A dangerous aura filled the house, shaking it violently. The three stood ground and turned towards the intruder. His presence alone was enough to make the three fall onto their knees and bow down to him.

"W-Who are you?" Asked Akito as he managed to lift his head off a bit.

"Oho, that's rude, brother, it's our second meeting," Haruto informed Akito with a twisted smirk.

"You piece of shit, I swear I will kill you!" Akito barely managed to shout before the pressure threw him onto the ground.

"A-Akito, keep shut." So stated Merlin as she barely managed to keep herself on her knees. At the same time, Satoshi was lying flat on his face.

"Ahh." Akito groaned in anger from the pain.

"This is a nice house. I mustn't destroy it." Then, while sitting down on the ground, Haruto placed his chin on his resting arm.

"You seem to be troubled, brother," Haruto claimed as he shrugged his shoulders. "If you were to see yourself in this miserable state, the you I know would be ashamed." He said while chuckling. "They would be disappointed in what they have become." He explained as he placed his arms down. "The past you used to be proud warriors of war, able to stand against all odds, they never lost track of themselves." He said when his eyes glimmered with jealousy. "They used to be weak, yet they wielded a strong will to defeat me." He explained as he got up. "Seems like everything is going well." He said as he turned away from them.

As Akito's face became planted into the ground, his memories ran rugged.

A while back in time, as it seemed, a world that was torn apart came to his vision. First, he was lying over a stone in agony while Haruto drove a sword into his heart. Then, drawing the spirit and powers he possessed, he looked up to a smile of doubt, hate, and jealousy.

"You will p-pay," exclaimed Akito as he looked up. "You are the one from my imagination." He stated. "The one who took my soul and power, Haruto, you will pay dearly for this." He explained as he lifted his face off the ground.

"Oho, I like it when you're this enthusiastic, my brother's will," Haruto said with a mysterious smile.

"This smile, it's the same as the vision," Akito said while he grumbled.

"My former selves, you say?" Akito spoke as he managed to get up onto his left knee. "They might be fiction or real, but for now, I am who I am." He said as he looked up towards Haruto. "I will end this right here," Akito stated as he managed to stand up with the pressure taking a massive toll on his body.

"Oho, nice, nice!" Shouted Haruto with excitement. "But, this is only the beginning of your long journey, brother." He said as he looked away. "Merlin, you are a fool to even try." He said as he shifted his attention at Akito again. "For this is the end of you and that hateful creature within you," Haruto said, leaving these words as a warning. "Goodbye for now, and I love you." He stated as he vanished into thin air.

"He came in through the sliding door?" Remarked Akito as he slowly looked over to the gust of wind that washed in.

After a few seconds, the massive pressure started to wear down along with his magical signature.

Realizing that Haruto was now out of reach, Akito screamed with anger. "Ahh!" His screams of rage and despair filled the house. "I swear it, Haruto, I will fucking kill you!" He screamed as his mana flow activated and shook the house.

Satoshi finally lifted his planted face off the ground only to see his brother in the wrath of his mind. Consumed by darkness, he saw what appeared to be a pattern on his forehead. "what is that?" He said to himself as he looked over to Merlin.

"Chinsei-ka Chains." She enchanted at Akito. Calming down slowly, he looked over to Merlin with hatred in his eyes.

"What did you do?" He asked her as the symbol on his forehead vanished.

"If he weren't weaker than me, the 'Pacifying Chains' wouldn't have affected him." She said to herself while looking at him. "Not good. He almost took control of Akito." She said to herself as her breathing slowed down.

"No use in getting powered up only for a wasteful effort." She explained to Akito while standing up. "He is far stronger than you and me. In this state, you stand no chance." She explained to him.

"How do you know that?" Akito shouted in rage.

"Even if you train for billions of years, you will never be a match for him." So she claimed as she looked at him.

"The only thing we can hope for is to get strong enough to reabsorb a portion of your power that resides within him now." She explained her plan to the two.

"Ahh, then what do we do?" whined Akito with rage and despair.

"Clam down. You have me now, Akito." She said as she helped Satoshi up. "We should get going. I assume this move was only a warning." She told the two brothers.
