As time went on, I started to like her, but I didn't want to allow myself to fall too deep. It was only until one evening she invited me to the college rooftop. I don't know how I didn't see it back then, I guess it was just nervousness and interest, clouding my judgement at the time. I stepped onto the rooftop, the sun slowly fading away causing an artwork of a sky, different colours merged, clouds like whispers, and the main event just slowly changing colour. Amongst the wonder there was a beauty standing there on the far side, her hair swept by the wind, like gold shimmering in the sunlight, I slowly walked over, the wind forcing my every move.
I reached her side, I turned to her and asked her "The sun looks incredible, but I know that's not the reason you called me up here." She smiled, "Knowledgeable and straight to the point like always, Look you know, its no lie, that I like u, and I've been meaning to ask you" She paused and turned to me. "Would you like to be my friend, or maybe more in the future but for now a friend." I was slightly surprised, but I knew my answer, "Sure we can be friends but that's it for now" She nodded and a smile rose on her face, everything was going exactly like she had planned it.
Some time had passed, and we had been together for quite some time, we would go out together to have dinner then, go back to her house and cuddle up and watch movies till we fell asleep. Her father was away most of the time, I had only seen him once, he was quite short and chubby, pure black hair, but, he was dangerous, I heard mysterious bangs and cracks from his wine cellar, if I had of known what I know now, I would of realised that cellar was hell.
One day he had asked me in, I entered into what looked like his office, and sat down on a chair opposite him. He then asked me "Your not like the other, guys, she has brought home, u seem more reasonable and mature, that's why I want to trust you, so I'm gonna ask you this and you don't have to answer me now, do you love her, cause if you don't, break up with her now? I don't want to see her heartbroken" I nodded and I told him I would let him know soon, he nodded and I left the house, my forehead slightly damp from sweat.
I had to make decision, did I love her? or was this all just a mistake? Either way I should've been more careful, I didn't know what was coming at the time, my entire life would change just like that, like the click of a finger.
