"By the way, before we see the children, please clean yourself up. Wipe your tears and snot. It's really ugly." Dempsey turned his head and looked at her in contempt.
Claire glared back in fury, "Isn't this all your fault? If you had let me see them earlier, I wouldn't have cried abd been ugly."
"So you always thought you were beautiful?" Dempsey mocked.
Claire straightened her back, and spoke with a tone full of inexplicable confidence, "Of course! There are quite a few men who pursue me. There's something wrong with your eyes."
"It seems like it's your private life is a problem. I'm even more worried about leaving the children to you. Who knows when you'd give them a little brother and/or sister, or find a stepfather... or something like that." Dempsey coldly guessed as he now fully faced her, arms akimbo.
Claire choked on her words, feeling like she was dragged to the ditch by this man. "Damn it! Whose private life is more chaotic? I heard that you rich men change women as if changing clothes. It's the same as changing three hundred and sixty five days a year! If you dislike me, then don't you think it's also time for you to reflect on yourself?" Claire struck back without restraints.
"Who told you that all rich men must be a butterfly?" Dempsey firmly believed that this woman is biased, and has a shallow experience and knowledge at this aspect.
Claire snorted, "The scandals about you. I'm afraid there is a ton of it online. Do you want me to organize them for you?"
"You said it's a 'scandal'. Do you believe everything written online?"
"Why not? If it's about you, I would believe it." Claire is truly unhappy with him, First, he has stolen her innocence, next, he wants to snatch her children from her, and now, he even has the face to say that she wasn't careful and have a messy private life. 'He is really a weirdo.'
Dempsey's face sank. He believes that she really is an unreasonable woman. "I'll seriously ask you again. The person I slept with that night, was it really you... or was it Alice?" Dempsey enunciated each word.
Claire was frightened by his fiendish expression. Her heart beat erratically, and she uncertainly asked, "So what if it was me? Will you kick out Alice?"
"If it's you, then that means Alice has been lying to me." Dempsey's almost certain that the person he slept with that night is this stubborn woman before him. That damned Alice has been brazenly enjoying everything he had bestowed upon her.
Hearing his venomous reply, Claire thought, 'Could it be that if I told him the truth about what happened that night, Dempsey will really kick out Alice?' Although the Scott Family has some money, they would not ne considered a wealthy class family. Alice, a woman with no outstanding background, has mediocre acting skills, and a flowervase-like woman who only has looks but lacking in essence, how could she stay as the most popular celebrity for five years? Did she become a hot topic of discussion because if this man? When she thought of how Alice is about to burn her mother's things, Claire seethed in anger, and couldn't wait to see her miserable. "If it wasn't for me, do you think you'd have that paternity test? Are you regretting your decision now? Are you thinking about how to explain these to your girlfriend, Alice?"
Claire suddenly have an evil intention to make things difficult for the man in front of her. She believes that since Dempsey has been helping Alice Scott for five years, it must be because he loves her.
Her words made Dempsey uncomfortable. With a slight raise of his sharp eyebrows, his voice as cold as ice, "I have no need to explain anything to anyone."
