Chapter 2 - GIG(2)

I pushed my way through the crowd, I finally entered Midnight Muse. The time was 11:53, and I couldn't help but fall to the ground. The air wasn't thin and I was given a new glass of wine.

I was born with a real-life superpower. I can feel other people's emotions, although I feel them more. Having everybody's emotions in my mind rather than my own is extremely exhausting, the only time I truly feel at peace is when I'm on stage. Or doing art, a kind of art.

I've read thousands of articles on empath's and they all have one thing in common, they never have time to themselves. They say that the symptoms of being an empath are being highly sensitive and has major mood swings like a type of bipolar disorder. But no article is right, at least about me, I'm not sensitive about others, I don't connect with people easily I don't care what others think about me but I do have extreme mood swings.

My mother thought I was bipolar when I was younger, but after visiting a doctor they diagnosed me with an extreme case of empathy. I've met other empaths, but I've never met an empath with my attunement.

Being an empath isn't something I would ever brag about. Always feeling other's emotions rather than your own can be straining, the strain can be so intense I almost gave up, multiple times.

I caught my breath and my heart rate went back to normal. A woman stood before me. She was edgy. She was ginger with lots of freckles and light green eyes. She wore black lipstick and dark eyeliner. Her clothes screamed punk, she wore leather pants and a tight red belly shirt with no straps or bra.

"Are you Mackenzie Barnes?" The girl said with an attitude.

"Yes, that's me," I say standing up. I look down and meet her eyes. She blushes and straitens her back.

"Good, can you sing?" I look at her confused, the fact that I needed to know how to sing confused me. "Yeah... Why?"

"The band we hired for today is a no show and there someone important here for that reason, but since they didn't come and none of the other employees can sing we need you to fill in."

"What? But I-" She grabbed my arm and dragged me backstage.

"Do you want to keep this job? If you don't do it you're fired." I look at her shocked.

"But I haven't even been hired yet." She pushes me on stage. Standing there with hundreds of eyes on me. A mic went off. "Everyone welcome, Mackenzie Barnes!" The redhead said with the mic in her hands. Some people clapped slowly looking confused because they have no idea who I am.

I breathe in and I felt excitement, my excitement. I smile and go to the band members. I ask the man with the acoustic guitar if I could borrow it.

"Do you know how to use it?" The man said arrogantly. I sneered.

"In a matter of fact I do, and I'm probably better than you." I snap back. He looked at me shocked and gave me the guitar, I check if everything was in tune. The sound made a lot of people cringe. I love the sound of a guitar being tuned. I brush the strings and everybody suddenly looked at me.

I sat down on the chair and I breathed In, this was my favorite feeling, the anxious crowd debating if I'm good or not, looking at me with curious eyes and watching everybody dance when I blow them away. I always had that gift, I used to play at a local lounge in Toronto and no matter the crowd, everybody would love it when I'd go on stage.

looking at the crowd I see that's mostly women, so I'll play something for them, get them dancing and I got it.

I strum at the strings, the intro is short. After singing the first verse the drummer picked up on the song. The pianist entered as well. The song was popular and made the girls dance. Singing the bridge I stand up and spin myself around. After finishing the song there was a couple of girls dancing near the stage. One of them waved to try to catch my attention. I look at her and she bites her lip and winks. I smile while singing the last verse.

Once I finished the song, I grab the guitar by the neck and hand it to the guitarist, while the crowd cheered. He looked at me shocked and insulted. I smile at him and his bandmates. I get off stage and come face to face with the redhead.

"You're amazing. My name is Sienna, I'm your boss." I look at Sienna and feel a strong feeling of lust. She scans me with her eyes and tightens her thighs. She smiles at me energetically. The feelings are there but she's repressing them. I smile back, and it soon turns into something intense and lustful.

'It's been a while I could relax a bit.' I thought while looking at her legs in her black leather pants.

"Would It be a problem if I said I'm extremely attracted to my boss?" I say arching my back to be face to face with her. She bites her lip and squeezes her thighs together.

She then smiles and grabs my collar and drags me to the bathroom. She pushes me against the wall and grabs my neck pulling her face towards hers. "If it's mutual, I don't see a problem." She says biting my lip. She locks the bathroom door and looks at me smiling.

"Take off your shirt." She commands, I smile and unbutton my shirt slowly. After taking it off, I throw it on the floor. She looks at my stomach and smiles.

"That's what I'm talking about." I laugh and look down at my bare chest. I'm slim but fit, I work out a lot but only to keep in shape not to bulk up. I have a toned stomach, a nice six-pack, and no hair. I look back up at Sienna and smile. She grabs her shirt and throws it on the ground releasing her breasts.

"You not so bad yourself," I say grabbing her waist and pulling her closer. Tracing kisses from her lips down to her collarbones. She unbuckles my belt and I slowly unzip her pants. She's wearing a black laced thong.

"You came prepared," I say tracing the line of her thong. She smiled and placed her lips against mine. Wrestling with our tongues.

"I was going to bring someone home tonight, but you're better." She winks and grabs my manhood.

"Let's have some fun," Sienna said with a smirk.
