A young girl stood with her parents in a fair. "Mom, dad. Come on, let's go." The girl said as a neat black-haired man with blue eyes picked her up. "Sorry, Kokomi. We're mage officers so we can't but grandpa and grandma will take you." The father said as Kokomi got sad. "I wish Shu was here." Kokomi said as a brown silky haired woman with brown eyes got sad. "I'll come. Hiro, cover my shift." The mother said as she and Kokomi ran to the fair. The father watched as he smiled before a mage officers' body was sent by him as his eyes filled with shock as he looked at Kokomi and her mother's smile before looking at a shadowy figure hidden in a veil standing in front of a pile of mage officers. Hiro looked back at Kokomi and the mother as he looked back and forth with pure puzzlement before he saw Kokomi smile as he smiled before running to the shadowy figure as he blasted a wind mana attack towards the demon as he fought with valiance against this mysterious evil. Kokomi smiled as she ate the candy floss before hearing screams as her mother covered her ears before holding her tight as she ran to safety as the shadowy figure chased her in hot pursuit as she ran inside before putting Kokomi in a closet before locking it. Kokomi heard screams as she cried silently. After a while, a teenager with metal-blue eyes with black outlines and azure bulbous hair with bangs curling outwards around his face. He wore black cloak, covering his upper body with blue trousers and blue elven boots. "My name is Mizuki. Everything is going to be okay as long as I'm here. No-one will hurt you." Mizuki said as he carried her to her grandparents as he crouched to her. "I'll always protect you. You're a good kid. This is a symbol of our friendship. A bracelet." Mizuki said as he left Kokomi with a wave before leaving her.
Flashback ends
"That's the last I heard of from my parents or Mizuki." Kokomi said as she held her bracelet as Shu got angry. "Damn it. I'm going to make him pay." Shu said as his eyes gleamed in rage. "Calm down, Shu." Kokomi said as Shu's rage grew. "They killed them all. Everyone's scared of him. He killed my parents and yours too." Shu said. "He has to pay," He said before Kokomi shouted in rage and fear. "Stop it. You think he won't kill you too. He'll kill everyone, who stands in his way. You'll die like everyone else." Kokomi said as the two grandparents walked downstairs due to the loud noise. "Shu, good to see you." The grandma said with a gentle voice as Shu walked out before saying. "I thought you of all people believed in me but I was wrong." Shu said, breaking Kokomi's heart. Isamu and Horus stood as they watched in silence. "Sorry, we caused a problem. We'll leave this village." Isamu said as he and Horus walked out. Isamu and Horus walked to Shu, who was filled with sadness. "That was pretty hurtful, wasn't." Isamu said. "She didn't believe in me. I thought she of all people believed in me." Shu said as Horus walked up to him. "She may not say it but she needs me. I'm her only tie to her past, the one person, she doesn't want to lose. I've got to stay." Shu said. "Try to answer this question. Why do you want power." Isamu said as him and Horus walked away as Isamu looked back at Shu before walking away. Shu looks up at the sky, now a glimmering sunset. Rich hues of red blending in with the orange as the sun falls down the horizon. Shu walks to his home as he goes to his old bedroom as he sees all his items from his childhood as he holds a picture of his mom and dad holding him when he was a baby as a single teardrop descends, falling down onto the picture. "Sorry, everyone." Shu said as he clutched his chest before falling asleep onto his old bed.
Shu wakes up to a loud knocking on the door as he tries to sleep, the noise increases in volume as he goes to open the door. "Who is it." Shu said as he opened the door, to see Kokomi's grandfather. "Shu, help us. Kokomi was taken by him. The one, who killed them all. He took her to a hideout, 5 miles south." He said, shocking Shu. "You're the only one left." He said before passing out. Shu gently lays him down on the sofa. "I'll save her." Shu said as he ran to Kokomi.
