She blinked away the tears and slowly turned to get a glimpse of who got shot. She'd never seen her dad use his gun before. Moreover, she was frightened to see what a dead body looked like but she was curious to know what it looked like.
Unfortunately, it was the dog not a person. She was glad and sad at the same time. Her dad's shot was neatly accurate. The bullet hit its brain and the blood gushing out from that point was the evidence.
She looked up at her dad happy that he killed the dog for her. She searched for that fatherly smile that would comfort her when he looked down at her and she found none. He looked at her like he could shoot her too. But he wouldn't, would he? She let go off him, scared. She couldn't tell what his eyes were saying to her. He stood there like the murder that he was and stretched out the gun.
