They both heard and thier Sofia and Desmond's minds almost went haywire.

"Why? Why!" Sofia asked rhetorically, not understanding the reason for such pain in her head. It was a while she noticed that Desmond was in the same state as she.
The golden dragon looked at them both, hearing them where they tried to hide.
It frowned and then smiled a bit.
"I see the gift."
Sofia and Desmond heard. They did not understand, but the two other dragons did. They did not know that they had the power to see people's past and future just by seeing a person or hearing their names, whether they knew them or not.
