The moment they took to pause was almost a short one.
Desdemona made the first move. Walking, trying to sense which door gave a feeling of Demona's presence. She kept walking, yet her tentacles were alert on who or what it was standing in the distance.
Sofia watched closely. It was obvious this woman was no maid. Who was she?
She noted that she seemed to be looking for something.
Was she looking for Demona?
Desdemona did not give the lady in a distance a glance any more. She focused on finding Demona's room. But she had herself prepared for anything surprising.
Sofia still stood, watching, wanting to confirm if her assumptions were true.
Desdemona kept walking until she froze. Sofia's eyes were almost swallowing her whole. Desdemona could still see the eyes of this woman who refused to leave the shadows, glowing red.
She did not stop to get a better look at the anonymous lady, but because she had found Demona's room.
