"If you need someone who can work with you, I can do it. If you need someone who can act as your lady or marriage on paper like you said. I could do that too!" Cleo said.
"Just now, I hear you don't care who the woman is, as long as she can work with you, then anything else won't matter. Therefore, will you accept my offer?" beg Cleo.
And, this was the first time. Cleo paid attention to the man named Harry.
So far, Mr. Harry has come to this bar several times just to drink or chat with either his friend or best friend, Reihan.
But this was the first time. Cleo paid close attention to his face.
'How handsome the man she will marry?'
Ignored Harry's cold attitude, which he always displayed in front of other people.
The indifferent and judgmental attitude that he continued to show by looking at Cleo from top to bottom using some considerations, seemed to be enough to make Cleo feel uncomfortable.
So, could it be since she was just a waitress? That man looked down at her like that?
"What's your name?" Harry asked with his deep voice while staring at Cleo.
Cleo was stunned.
"Cleo. Cleo Alayster," she replied.
Could feel her heart beating so fast because she impatiently had been waiting for an answer from Harry. Even though, she was not in a favorable situation to volunteer. At least, she had tried all the possibilities.
Even if it might end up in vain.
Reihan saw the situation become a bit risky. And he immediately tried to break the ice.
"I'm really sorry, Bro. I really did not think that my employees would be so presumptuous in speaking. Please, you ignore what she had said," said Reihan, trying to be a mediator.
He knew Harry didn't like anyone interrupting his conversation and behaved unruly impolite in front of him.
But Reihan also did not think that Harry would be curious
about his employee's name. Therefore, rather than continuing this conversation, he immediately stopped it.
"Boss Rei, you can't corner me like that. I only offer my services to him. Is it wrong? Your friend clearly says he doesn't care who that person is. As long as, it can be used. It doesn't matter. Why this situation seems to make me the guilty one here. Because I'm just a servant here? That's why you want to look down on me?"
Cleo started to raise her voice because she felt annoyed.
She was embarrassed by all the social inequalities that occurred around her. They knew she could not choose the gap at will. Because if she could choose. Of course, she wouldn't choose to be on her current path.
Harry was still silent– yet it did not mean that he was ignoring his surroundings.
Was still considering everything that Cleo said to him.
As he had said before to Reihan. Harry did not care about the shape and appearance of the girl, which he was going to marry. As long as he could divorce her after two years, it wasn't a problem.
According to Harry, if he married a woman who was from the upper class. It might be more troublesome for him.
If the woman had status, it would increasingly be difficult for Harry to negotiate and divorce her, if she suddenly changed her mind.
And if the woman he will marry is a woman who does has no status. It would be to his advantage.
If she needed money like the woman in front of him. It would be easy for Harry to negotiate. Because money was not a problem for him.
If she wanted lots of money. Of course, it would be a more solid symbiotic relationship than anything else.
But if he made a deal with a materialistic woman. It seemed that was a little risky.
Especially, if that woman was the type of girl who couldn't keep promises and secrets. It was a very uncooperative attitude, that Harry did not expect from someone who would become his partner later.
But, seeing the persistence of the woman named Cleo. It made a little consideration in Harry's mind who was eager to solve the problem immediately.
For that, he needed to know more about this woman before he made a decision.
"Okay," said Harry, finally.
Making Cleo and Reihan dumbfounded.
Reihan and Cleo did not think that Harry would quickly agree to this offer.
"I'll give you a chance," Harry continued without showing any expression.
Cleo frowned.
'Opportunity?'
"Give me a few days to think about this. I need your CV right away. As soon as possible. Therefore, immediately send me your CV to my email. You can ask Reihan about my email address. Then ..."
"Then ..?"
Cleo reflexively followed Harry's words.
"I will provide further information after I make my decision and will meet with you later. Therefore, prepare everything. And now, get back to your work."
"You currently still work at Reihan's Bar I don't want him to reprimand me for taking up one employee's time arbitrarily," Harry said immediately made Cleo cheer up.
"OKAY!! See you! And thanks."
Cleo excitedly exclaimed. Then, she left them.
