MYS 14
...
Eating rendang, Mr. Somad's wife, which was amazingly delicious, made me crazy. It was so delicious that I imagined that the rendang on the plate suddenly transformed into that annoying Andi figure. Without realizing it, I kneaded the contents of the plate quite hard and then devoured it as quickly as possible, hoping that the incident was just a dream and I would soon forget.
"What are you doing today? It's like you've seen a demon," said Ana beside me.
"If it's a demon, it's still better An. This is an imitation without classification." I burst out with emotion.
"Who's bothering you?" Ana asked as if she knew I was having a problem with someone.
"You know Andi? It's time for me to be his girlfriend. Crazy right!" My chirping unknowingly revealed a secret that I only wanted to tell Ana. But what can I do, the three Caucasians across the table have already heard.
It turned out that besides being delicious, Somad's mother's rendang was able to make me open my voice without realizing it. And, I heard the four of them laughing in unison, almost choking.
"Anggi oh Anggi... you're really unfortunate." said Ana imitating the Batak accent.
"Do you want me to take the child to apologize?" Jono offered with a concerned tone.
"We should have been there, Bi, it could be good content if it was recorded earlier." Edi joked only made my chest hotter.
"Right on," Ebi said enthusiastically.
"You think it's funny, don't you?" I got angry and just walked away. This is the result of rushing to vent with the wrong person.
When I took my bag to class I could feel there was a different aura from the last time I left it. Rumors of Duo R plus Stefie, the hungry eyes of the land crocodiles that I feel disgusted with myself. I quickly left the classroom, going home was the best choice for the day.
Until the doorway, Andi stopped me by standing blocking the only way out. Smiling a smile that I interpreted as a smile of victory. If only I had a quarter of Ana's martial arts ability, I would have kicked her into the sky into a star.
"Where's your boyfriend going?" Andi's hoarse voice made me nauseous.
I prefer to stay silent and look away.
"Girlfriend, if you are asked, please answer..." Andi said in the same voice but louder.
"Get out of the way. I want to go home." I hissed with fists.
"Well then, answer that. But don't be angry, okay, I like it even more." Andi said managed to make me scream in my heart.
Oh my God, I don't know how long I can endure this kind of treatment.
Meanwhile, Andi was still standing blocking the road and I also didn't want to face the super crocodile guy who didn't want to budge on this. Until finally I realized Amad was standing next to me.
"Ndi, you can get out of the way first. I want to pass. Mr. Pujo is calling." said Adam casually.
"Amad, do you have the recitation today?" I suddenly remembered the event in the flyer that Amad gave this morning.
"Yes. If you want to come, just go to the school mosque," replied Amad as he walked past Andi.
I didn't waste the gap that Amad made. I immediately broke through and ran towards the mosque. I just want to talk to God.
And sure enough, it was my turn to go forward to make recitations to the ustadzah, and then I was asked to read a verse from a fragment of Surah Ali 'Imran. After that I was also asked to read the meaning which reads:
"And do not (feel) weak, and do not (also) grieve, because you are the highest (degree) if you are believers." (Surat Ali'Imran 3: Verse 139)
The next second after I finished reading the translation, two of my eyes were immediately wet until they flooded down my cheeks. The tears I had been holding in for so long finally came out uncontrollably.
Today, the badminton competition between sub-district level schools is an hour away from the opening ceremony, while I'm still stuck at school.
Not because I'm still annoyed with Ana and only talk when asked. It's not because I choose to stay silent in class and think that all living creatures are invisible. Nor am I the one who is pretentious about drama when Andi keeps sticking around wherever I am and desperately tries to hide.
However, the school travel car suddenly broke down. That shouldn't be a problem. Children can ride their motorbikes to the sub-district GOR which is only fifteen minutes from the school.
But Pak Pujo insisted that we have to take a car and asked Jono to take his APV car, arguing that the prestige of the school was at stake. Even though there are already three private cars belonging to the teachers, it is still not enough to accommodate all the children.
But that's not it either, but the locker room door that I was using suddenly broke and locked itself was the cause. And when I called Ana asking for help, it turned out that she had already left by taking one of the teachers' private cars.
I, who don't have many cell phone numbers, am confused as well. If my door is forced to break down, I will have to pay compensation. Through the window is not possible because there is only a glass box on the outer wall. Luckily yesterday I had recited the Koran, there is still a sense of calm that has not been extinguished in my chest and I pray that help will come soon because I have sent a short message to Ana.
"Anggi... Anggi? Are you still there?" Jono's deep voice came from behind the door he was trying to open.
"Yeah. I'm fine." I exclaimed convincingly.
"Wait a minute. The locksmith is getting the spare key."
"Okay," reassure yourself in the calmest voice possible.
Sure enough, it took less than five minutes for the locker room door to open without any significant scuffs.
"How did you get trapped here alone?"
"If I knew I wouldn't want to either."
"I'm serious."
"I'm serious too Jon. I don't know. I don't know how a door that doesn't have a lock can lock." clear me. Starting to suspect someone is doing something stupid.
"Yes. Let's go." take Jon.
"Not that you've been in the car earlier."
"Yes. It's back, just takes Edi, Ebi, and you."
"They haven't left yet?"
"I just finished the briefing with Mrs. Septi," answered John. Mrs. Septi is a BK teacher and also the school documentation section.
During the trip from school to the GOR, I thought hard about who this stupid kid was. However, the noise from the back seat made me unable to concentrate properly. Edi and Ebi are arguing about who will hold the camera and who will be the narrator endlessly until we arrive at our destination.
"Anggi, you have to win. Be Lilyana Natsir because you have Tantowi Amad's partner." Jono whispered to give me the spirit that had been sobbing.
"Spaghetti bolognese..." I answered, not enthusiastic but curious to try Jono's food which he said was delicious.
"For you...everything I can..." said Jono with a grin like a boy who was cursing.
