Part 2: Shinu De Nuevo
Arc 7: Changed World.
(The next morning)
(Kuragari wakes up in his bed, next to Tomogui who has her left arm wrapped around his chest)
(Kuragari stands up and he throws on his clothes and starts to walk out the door, but he sees Annah standing in front of him and he stops)
Kuragari: Oh, good morning Annah...
Annah: Sam, I wanted to ask you a few questio-... (She sees Tomugui sleeping in Kuragari's bed and she tries to hide the shock on her face) I...
Kuragari: Ask me what?
Annah: (She looks back at Kuragari) I... just wanna talk to you later.
Kuragari: Sure, (He nudges Annah out of the way and continues to walk off) But later.
(Tomogui walks out of the room, she lightly taps Annah's shoulder before a smug look grows on her face and she walks after Kuragari)
Annah: (Thinking to herself) I... am gonna kill that bitch.
Kuragari: (He opens the door to Esperanza's room and sees that she is missing along with all her possessions) Huh? Yo! Levi! Live up to your name and spin your way over here!
Levi: (He walks over to Kuragari. His hair is messy and he is still wearing his night clothes, a white shirt with black shorts and blue socks) What?! *Yawn* I just woke up!
Kuragari: You're sister's go-... (He looks at Levi's pants) are you wearing short shorts in 2020 during the middle of winter?
Levi: (He looks down at his pants and back at Kuragari) They're comfortable and stylish.
Kuragari: No. No they're not. You look like... a proto-hipster... (He points inside her room) where the hell is your sister?
Levi: (He peeks his head inside the room) I dunno.
Kuragari: (He starts to walk away) Well find her then! She couldn't have just run off!
Levi: (Under his breath) Yeah... she couldn't have.
(Meanwhile)
(Kane's car the Mustang Boss 429 or Stella is driving down a dirt road, "A Horse With No Name" by America blasting from inside it. It stops in front of a steel road gate. Able and Kane get out of it)
Able: (He is wearing a formal blue suit with a red tie and a Public Security Intelligence Agency badge on his jacket) I still don't understand that song.
Kane: (He is wearing a black suit with a gray tie and a badge just like Able) And I don't understand, why you're dragging me here. Despite the fact that there's pseudo-psychotic maniac out there.
Able: Yeah, well. We gotta keep hunting things. That's our job and we wouldn't wanna disappoint dad now, would we?
Kane: Yeah, yeah sure! (They walk towards the gate) So what are we dealing with?
Able: That's the thing, we don't know. (As they walk he reads a file) The camp counselor was found "brutally lacerated" inside the toilet.
Kane: Shit! Must've been some powerful tacos then.
Able: My bet is on Jason Voorhees.
Kane: Well if we can see it, it's killable.
Able: And/or eatable.
Kane: What's with you and suddenly wanting to eat everything?
Able: I... have no idea.
(Kane walks over to the gate and tries to push it open, but it just won't budge. So he just decides to climb over it and nearly trips. Able on the other hand... just walks around the gate)
(Kane and Able continue to walk down the road, until they reach the entrance to the camp, "Camp Natsu." And it looks just like something out of a 1980s slasher movie. The boys and girls sleeping quarters are standing opposite of each other. The mess hall is to the back of the camp, next to the office, and the kitchen sits next to the girl's quarters. The bathroom is next to the boy's quarters. There is a dock that stands on the lake. Teenagers are running around the camp playing football and other games, or just talking to each other. "Heat of the Moment" by Asia is playing over the camp speakers. Kane and Able just stand looking at it in either confusen or surprise, or both)
Kane: (Rubbing his eyes) Able... what's the date on your phone?
Able: (He takes his phone out and looks at it) February 29th 2020...
Kane: (He steps forward) Because for a damn minute I thought we were in 1978... back in paradise.
Able: You weren't even born in 1978!
("Come and Get Your Love" by Redbone starts playing from the speakers)
Kane: (He starts nodding his head) I wish I was! Woo!
(Kane starts dancing to the song as he walks into the camp)
Able: (Shaking his head) He's gonna get in jail... I know it.
(Able follows after Kane to the office)
Kane: (He knocks on the door of the office) Someone inside?
Able: They're probably hiding from your terrible dancing skills.
Kane: I learned it from mom, alri-... (The door opens and Kane immediately right hooks a person in a clown costume with red paint on his face) Yeah! I got you! (He kicks the man) I got you! You bastard!
Able: (He looks over Kane's shoulder at the man who is clean knocked out) The hell you do that for?!
Kane: The asshole jumped me!
Able: It's just a clown!
Kane: Yeah! And maths is just a bunch of numbers.
Able: (He points to Kane) Hey... we don't talk about my mathophobia. At least I don't cry when I see Ronald McDonald in the parking lot!
Kane: He's tall!!! One plus one, equals?!
Able: *Stern* Don't go there!
("Gentlemen?! What are you going on about?")
(Kane and Able turn their heads and see one of the camp counselors talking to them. A woman about 5'3ft tall, with long cinnamon brown hair tied into a ponytail and dark grey eyes, she looks around the age of 25. She is wearing a blue shirt with the camp name and the mascot, "Lakey the Clown" on it. Along with black jeans and shoes. The camp counselor outfit. Her name tag reads "Mia Kaunserā")
Kane: (He looks at Mia, embarrassed) Oh... uh...
Able: (He steps forwards and shakes Mia's hand) Public Security Intelligence Agency, Agent Yuji Itadori, this is my partner Megumi Fushiguro. We're here on the accounts of the murder.
Mia: You hear about it so quickly?
Able: News travels fast in the PSIA.
Mia: Well... I probably shouldn't keep you guys, follow me! (She starts leading them to the kitchen) One of the students found, he was... pretty shaken up.
Kane: And where's the body?
Mia: In... the freezer.
Able: The ambulance did come and take it?
Mia: Well we told them about it, but since we're so far away from civilization it'll take them a few days. But since you're here, I bet things'll be alright.
Able: You're real calm for a person who just witnessed a murder.
Mia: I... I've been trained to deal with them.
Able: So have we, but even we get on the edge sometimes.
Kane: Oh you definitely get on the edge sometimes!
Able: *Annoyed* Shut up.
(They make their way into the freezer room and Mia opens the freezer chest, inside is the body of the dead counselor. He has deep cuts all over his chest, so deep you can even see the rib cage. His left arm is cut vertically open from the wrist to the elbow. The flesh is torn clean off of his right back hand. His left ear is torn off. He has several more cuts all along his legs, stomach and right arm. Kane and Able both turn their heads at the sight of the body, but Mia remains uneffected.)
Kane: (Covering his mouth) Oh-good-shit-sticks.
Able: Anyone... (He throws up in his mouth) Anyone suspicious?
Mia: No... not as far as I can tell.
Able: Well... well Ms Kaunserā. My and partner will be staying here. For the time being of course! Until we solve this case! That is!
Mia: Great! That means we have two replace counselors!
Able: No! No! We're not-...
Mia: (She puts name tags of their pseudonyms on Kane and Able) Welcome to Camp Natsu. (She walks out of the freezer room)Official counselors!
Kane: (Looking at his tag) I ain't even gonna complain.
Able: (Shaking his head) Let's go.
Kane: (As they walk around the camp) What do you think it is?
Able: Ain't go no idea. The cuts look too knife-like to be animal or beast made.
Kane: So we might be dealing with a human here?
Able: Not necessarily...
Kane: Toilet goblin!
Able: What?!
Kane: A toilet goblin! As pure and simple as that!
Able: No... they don't exist.
Kane: Well if they do! You owe me 15 bucks! Make a mental note about that. But in the meantime, you ask the people round here questions and I'll do research on my laptop!
Able: No-no. How about I do research on the laptop! And you ask people!
Kane: You talk to people! You're more socially active!
Able: (He reaches out for Kane as he walks to the car, but puts his hand down) Oh... crap.
(Meanwhile)
(Kuragari is slouching on his throne, his legs on the arm rests. He is reading a book. Suddenly Levi walks inside the warehouse)
Kuragari: (He is reading the book, not even looking at Levi) Did you find her?
Levi: No. Looked everywhere, even called her cellphone. She's nowhere to be found.
Kuragari: You know, Levi. I hate many things. Those that don't believe in peace, the modern world, traitors... and liars. (He snaps his fingers and Esperanza walks out from the back of the throne, but her face looks twisted and sadistic) If I can find her? How can her own brother not? Levente... Levente... Levente! That is your full name, right? (Levi merely remains silent and looks at Kuragari) Right?
Levi: Right... what did you do to Esperanza?
Kuragari: I... wiped her memories. Using the Wasureru Elixir. She now believes that we're... in... a relationship, a serious one. (Levi clenches his fist and takes a step forward) I only seek to do what's right, Levi.
Levi: And what if it's wrong?
Kuragari: Then... then I'll make sure it's right.
Levi: Ever watched Attack On Titan? Cause I'm about to live up to my name and kick your face in.
Kuragari: You're a narcissist.
Levi: And you're an asshole.
