Chapter 82 - Jushio

COLONEL ORION LESTER DERRE

Time to fulfill my end of the deal, I tell myself as I look at the task up ahead.

I carefully scale the walls of the Northern headquarters' palace.

I already did this once a week ago, but having a large sword strapped to my back as I climb up is less than desirable. The huge object brushes its cold metallic surface against my uniform. If I'm not careful, it would end up slicing me. Jushio was never a dull sword, after all.

I grab hold where I can, my hands already aching from carrying the brunt of my entire body and the sword. I try to use my feet to take on some of my weight, but of course I manage to set my left foot on a slope, almost causing me to fall. Thankfully, I manage to grab a ledge with both hands just in time, saving myself from a disastrous fall.

Ah, I might be getting too old for this.

After some time of toiling, I finally manage to reach my destination, the window of Major Lais Felix's office.
