"We can live like this every day."
With these words my day began and ended with the fact that I, sitting in my office, began to write.
The first chapters of my new book surprised me by the fact that I, in my words, noticed that I had changed a lot.
I was no longer the same. And that didn't scare me anymore.
"Every day can be a celebration!"
"The celebration of happiness and life!"
I loved living in this house and being in the company of these wonderful people. And I wanted to talk, ask and listen like never before.
The night gave way to day, and so I found myself in this field, among the mountains and trees.
Deciding to have a picnic, complete strangers before, became good friends.
But never before have people been so friendly.
Looking at the clouds that were slowly floating across the sky, I lay on the soft grass. The weather was cloudy and I could smell the rain.
"Claude, and when will your friend come?" Camellia asked, breaking the perfect silence.
Claude, looking at the sky, replied, "I think he will appear in a minute."
"He is a pilot? Your friend."
"Yes. He always dreamed of being a pilot. But only, after university, he had to leave this dream behind."
"So, what now? He has his own airplane?"
"Here he is!"
Right in the middle of the mountains, the helicopter was about to land.
The strong wind almost blew Eva's hat, but I managed to catch it.
Noise and enthusiastic glances, replaced by the fact that the wind was much stronger, and soon, we all covered our face and tried to stay on our feet.
When the helicopter finally landed, I saw the pilot himself.
He was an elderly man with a white beard. He was wearing a leather jacket and leather cap, as well as jeans.
"Professor Skyemoone! It's great to meet you. My name is Sebastian," he said, reaching out to me.
"And it's a pleasure to meet you too."
"Professor, thanks to you, I'm flying now," Sebastian said and patted me on the back. "And now, let me show you the sky."
"Can we fly, too?"
"Of course! But first, give me water."
Looking at him, it seemed to me that I had already seen those broad shoulders and piercing black eyes.
"Professor," he said, studying me from head to toe. "And you are a very handsome man."
"So, your dream was to become a pilot? And when did you buy that helicopter?"
Sebastian, looking proudly at the brand new, helicopter, replied, "Yes. Sky, clouds, this is my world."
"Why didn't you buy a plane? Why do you need a helicopter?"
"Well, professor, in gratitude, let me show you the sky," he said and pointed to the helicopter.
Curiosity won and besides, I never flew a helicopter.
"Professor, be careful."
Once I heard Sebastian's voice in my headphones, I immediately felt the full force of the earth's gravity.
But still, after a few seconds, we were already high enough that I could see the beauty of these lands as well as my house among the woods.
"You're probably wondering who I am," Sebastian suddenly said.
"Claude told us about you."
"But he hardly told you about my past."
"The past is left behind. Sometimes you just have to forget about it."
"You are as wise as ever. But to forget the past is not so easy. For example, now I do what I want, fly where I want, no one controls me, but I still can't leave my past behind."
"And what's stopping you?"
"I don't know. Probably a human nature. You know, people are complex beings. When they are happy, they like to remember their past when they were sad. Or when they are sad, they like to imagine the time when they will finally be happy. That's what I am."
"Yes, the past is a complex thing. And human too."
I looked ahead, and I saw the trees that created the whole ocean.
And we, the only ones in the sky, flew forward.
I was calm in my heart and I even wanted to cry with such beauty.
Clouds, blue skies and nature, that's what you need for true happiness.
"I don't even know what I would have done if it wasn't for you. Although I know I would just work and live day by day, remembering my past and regretting a lot of things," he said. But I didn't say anything.
Now, we have a view of the steppe.
Small yellow flowers and dandelions created dodgy patterns. And I had to wonder at the creativity of nature.
"Professor, how are you? Aren't you scared?"
"No. I'm just surprised by the beauty of this world."
"I'm always surprised, too. Nature never ceases to amaze. Just look at these mountains, and the way the sky and the earth, so harmoniously create for us such a spacious house."
"You're right. What else is needed for happiness when there is such beauty around."
"Professor, I understand you. To be happy, you have to be able to see the beauty," Sebastian said and after a few minutes, we started to land.
It is impossible to describe the beauty that I saw. But you understand how nature can deprive the speech and the ability to describe beauty.
"Now it's my turn!" Camellia exclaimed and ran toward the helicopter.
Sebastian, coming closer to me, whispered, "Now, I'm popular with women. Look how beautiful she is."
After the flight, I felt strange. I felt like I was still in the sky.
Leaning against the tree, I sat down on the ground and a light breeze walked through my hair.
"Do you know what's going on in the world right now?" David asked.
And even today, he was wearing the most expensive clothes and a few gold rings.
I looked at him and as always, he had an overly confident and arrogant expression.
"I haven't read the news in a long time."
"Soon, there will be a shortage of doctors in the world, factories will stop working. And then what?"
"I'm sure it's under control."
"You are too optimistic. But let's say it's under control. What's going to happen to people? Don't you think that soon, they will get tired of happiness and demand from you something more."
"Will you get tired of happiness?"
"Don't pretend you don't know the nature of human."
"Are you saying that people will complain about that they live and that they are happy?"
"I know you're a smart man. Think for yourself," David said, and laughing softly, left.
His words probably made me a little nervous. But the landscape in front of me and the same cozy time in the company of people, made me forget about his words.
That was true.
I wanted to be happy and just watch everything that was going on.
Sensing Leon's letter in my pocket, I smiled and did not notice how the sun had changed by the moon, I sat by the tree until Eva came up to me and said, "Professor, go home. It's time for dinner."
Sebastian, gladly accepted the invitation to dinner.
And at the table, he was the funniest of all. Even Joseph was happy to speak to him and they had common interests.
"Say, now a man can afford everything. For example, I bought a helicopter, and if I want, I will buy a plane. Tell me, isn't that enough to be happy?"
"Sebastian, you still can't believe it?"
"Yes. I'm surprised every day. And all thanks to the Professor. You've made everyone equal! And I'm willing to talk about it endlessly. I'm ready to praise you all day!"
"Yes, Skye has been so unusual since childhood. I always knew that he would become someone great," Joseph said, and looked at me with tenderness in his eyes.
Now, he was reminding me of my grandfather.
"Professor, can I always live here? It's so comfortable!" Camellia said and smiled happily.
The next day, everyone continued to live and feel the celebration.
Dreams were embodied in the form of a helicopter, in the form of ships and houses. And today, everyone had a horse riding planned.
When I saw a snow-white horse brought to my house, I remembered Leon's grandfather.
I was thinking about him, while my guests, dressed as if they were going to the ball, sat under the open sky and each of them tried to look happier.
Snow-white horse, peacefully stood by the tree.
Is this what all people have always dreamed of?
Material values, but where is the development?
"Professor, how are you doing today?" Edelweiss asked.
"I'm fine."
"You are such a secretive person. I've noticed that you don't want to open your soul to anyone. You are the real mystery of this universe."
"Is that true?"
"Yes. That's true. But it's good, if everything becomes clear, then in this world there will be no interest."
"Are you leaving? Yesterday I noticed that you packed your bags."
"I don't even know. I want to get out of here. But something holds me back. What you would do if you were me?"
"I would take money from the fund and go to follow the call of my heart. And I wouldn't think it's unfair or that it's too easy to be true."
"You're probably right. As long as you have the opportunity, you need to be able to use it."
"Are you dreaming of becoming a poet?"
"Yes. I dream of freedom to write poetry. And besides, I want this world to read my poems."
"Now a dreaming person is valued. So, I don't think it's going to be hard."
"Still, what I dream of is not easy to achieve."
"Are you about love, kindness and peace?"
"Yes. Professor, dreaming about these things is the hardest thing. You can't buy that."
I thought about it. His words really made sense.
"I'm going to do everything I dream of," he said suddenly and smiled.
"I'm sure you'll be happy."
"Don't you think things have become too boring?"
Claude, sitting under a tree, with a book in his hands, raised his head and said, "Boring? Maybe it's boring for you. But for me, it's a real luxury."
"You just look at yourself. Everyone got too happy. Everything became so calm that there was no one to talk to."
"What are you talking about at all? If you don't like this kind of life, why are you here?"
"We worked too long and were miserable. I'm not going to let someone like you ruin my mood!" Claude exclaimed.
David laughed loudly. Looking at me and pointing at people, he asked, "Professor, haven't they all become boring?"
"Just because you're dressed in expensive clothes and own restaurants, companies don't mean you can behave like that!"
"Calm down! We're not here to conflict."
"Man can't stand happiness for too long!" David continued.
"If you don't shut up now!"
"Professor, this is just the beginning. You should read the news!" David exclaimed and laughed nervously.
