Chapter 23 - Something new. Part three.

Unfortunately, I missed the dinner that day, because it cost me to lie down on the bed after a shower as I immediately fell asleep.

Maybe never in my life have I slept so soundly.

The soft bed allowed my tired back to rest well.

And by morning, waking up in a completely new place, I opened my eyes and looked around.

Only now could I see my room.

I was lying on a big bed which looked more like a bed from a palace.

The heavy curtains on which there were incomprehensible patterns closed the windows. In front of the window stood a round table and two chairs.

Opposite the bed was a fireplace and in front of it stood a small sofa.

The floors were wooded and the soft carpet of dark green color created a pleasant contrast with the surrounding colors.

The room was fresh and quiet.

I spent some more time in bed.

The soft pillow and the warm blanket did not let me go, and when I heard a strong wind outside, I completely lost the desire to leave the room.

But I had to go.

Wearing a warm sweater, and black pants with thin, almost imperceptible lines, I tied the shoelaces on my shoes and put on my coat.

Walking down a long corridor, past swords and statues, I felt a certain fear, but once I was on the first floor, as I completely forgot about everything.

I left the house and found myself in front of a whole forest.

In front of me were trees that stretched in all directions.

There was snow everywhere, and every branch of each tree was decorated in dodgy patterns made of snowflakes.

I wasn't as cold as I was yesterday. I felt the fresh wind and it was nice to feel the coolness of the small snowflakes that covered my head.

I took a few steps forward. I was in a fairy tale.

Picking up the snow, I was in no hurry to let it go, I just walked forward.

Never before have I been so fascinated by winter.

But suddenly, in the middle of the silence, I heard a gentle melody of the flute.

Yes, I wasn't wrong, it was the melody of the flute. And created this melody girl who stood in the middle of the forest.

I stopped and was surprised.

The girl, all alone, standing in the middle of a snow-white forest, played the flute.

Her hair was black and wavy. She was wearing a leather vest and wide pants. But most interestingly, she was standing barefoot.

I didn't see her face, I just heard the melody.

But with the arrival of the wind, her melody was carried away, to the far edges of this beautiful city.

After taking a few more steps forward, I accidentally stepped on a branch, as it happens in all the movies, and she heard me.

Her gaze pierced through me. Her graceful face, her earnest face, her whole look, seemed aesthetic to me.

She was beautiful, just like this winter.

After taking a few steps in my direction, she wanted to say something, but changed her mind. Instead, she just smiled.

And then I noticed that her graceful facial features, in fact, kept both feminine and male beauty. Something about it was from a strong knight, and she also had tenderness and fragility.

I didn't notice her hiding behind the trees and after a few seconds I was all alone.

"I guess you are the new professor?" someone suddenly asked.

I turned around and saw a young guy in a warm black jacket in front of him.

He, too, was very tall and muscular. I couldn't see his face because his cap visor was slightly covering his eyes.

But still, I noticed that that girl was something like him. The same tender, but slightly rough facial features.

"Hello. Yes. I am Skyemoone."

«My name is Draken," he said.

And another unusual name.

For a moment it seemed to me that Lei and he were brothers. But I didn't ask.

"Yesterday we were waiting for you for dinner. But you didn't come," he said and I took off his cap.

Now I saw his face. Most of all I liked his expressive, big eyes that concealed the secrets of the night. A smooth little nose and scarlet lips adorned his personality which was very interesting.

«Yes, I was very tired. And I just fell asleep. I am sorry."

"It's all right. I understand. So, let's go, breakfast is ready," he said, and hugging me by the shoulders, led towards the house.

In the house, in the living room, we met Lei. Today, he was wearing a beautiful black suit and a dark red shirt inside. His hair was also gathered in a bun, and his facial expression was even more serious. That's why I thought he was angry that I slept through dinner last night. And I said, "Sorry I missed the dinner."

"Don't worry. How do you feel today?" he asked, sitting down on a high-backed chair.

Seeing the contents of a long table, different dishes and baked buns I immediately felt hungry.

But still I felt the awkwardness and tension around these two people.

Noticing this, Draken patted me on the back, said, "Professor, don't be afraid. Lei's face is just like that. In fact, he's very kind."

I laughed nervously.

"I told you that you are scaring people with your dissatisfied look. And anyway, why are you still frowning? It's all good."

Lei looked up over the thick black eyebrows, and looked at me and said, "Please eat, this is all for you."

"You're going to spend three months with us, so isn't it better for us to get to know each other?" Draken asked, moving in my direction a plate of waffles.

"As I know today you don't need to go to university, maybe tonight we will give you a tour of the city? What do you think?" Lei asked trying to smile.

"I'd love to see the city."

Draken gleefully exclaimed, "In that case, until the evening professor!"

"You must have seen a girl in the woods," Lei said and propped up his chin with his hand.

"Yes. She played the flute beautifully."

"She is my daughter and her name is Fortunata. And don't be surprised if she doesn't talk to you. Now, she's writing a new melody, so she doesn't talk to anyone."

"I understand, " I replied, and proceeded with greed to eat breakfast.
