The next morning, I woke up from something very heavy. I thought it was Dreamer. But when I opened my eyes, I saw Leon's face.
He was literally sitting on me, making me feel a slight pain from his weight.
"Finally, you woke up," he said.
"What time it is?"
"Almost one o'clock in the afternoon. You slept so soundly."
I wanted to get up, but he just pushed me to bed.
"Let me go."
His face got even closer to me. And then I regretted trying to escape from under his hands.
Looking at me at such a close distance, he smiled.
"Leon, stop."
"Professor, do you know that when you sleep you look like a kitten?" he asked, now laughing a little.
"Where's Dreamer? He didn't run away by accident?"
"He's with Grandpa."
"Well, let me go. I want to go to the bathroom."
Leon bowed his head even closer. So close that our eyelashes almost came into contact. I closed my eyes and turned my head a little to the side.
"Skye, look at me," he whispered almost in my ear.
And the moment I wanted to open my eyes, Leon suddenly jumped up and grabbed my hand. The next thing I felt was that he was dragging me somewhere with all his might.
Before I could come to my senses, he threw new clothes in my face and said, "Dress up. It's time for us to go."
Wearing a light sleeveless shirt and jeans, I went down the stairs and on the way met Nico.
"Good morning Professor. How did you sleep?"
"Good morning. I slept very tightly. Your home is very cozy."
"Well, I'm glad. And by the way, your cat was in my room," Nico said with a laugh and patted me on the shoulder. Then, looking into my eyes, he whispered, "I am very glad that you have appeared in my grandson's life."
I didn't know what to say and just smiled.
Noticing my nervousness, he silently continued on his way to the second floor.
When I found myself under the sky which was full of clouds, Leon shouted to me, "Skye, come here!"
Only then I found that that we were going towards the barn.
"Can you ride a horse?"
"I think yes."
"Well then go ahead," Leon said and opened the door to the stable.
Approaching the black horse, Leon put his arm around his head and said, "His name is Thunder, and this is the Lightning."
Pointing to the snow-white horse, Leon added, "Today she is yours."
After quickly climbing on his horse, Leon pulled the bridle and Thunder left the stable. "Follow me!"
To my surprise, I climbed on the horse with ease. After stroking the horse's mane, I pulled the bridle a little and she gracefully went outside.
Ever since I was a kid, I've loved riding horses. Always, sitting on a horse, I felt a certain freedom which is inexplicable in simple words. Well, when the horse begins to accelerate its step, it is the most unearthly feeling. And the next second, you're flying along the green fields.
Along with the movement of clouds that were heading towards the city, I raced faster than the wind. The white mane was bouncing in the wind and I could feel the power of this creature.
There was only a steppe, in front of us. I saw Leon in the distance. It's like he's merged with a horse. It was as if he were a powerful centaur who did not fit into this world, and at the same time who decorated the world with his presence.
I couldn't take my eyes off him and the beauty around me.
When the Lightning started to run even faster, one tear flew out of my eye and I noticed that the sky stretched by clouds almost merged with the green earth.
Everything around suddenly became two-dimensional.
I was hovering, my heart was beating so fast.
Suddenly Leon stopped the horse and waited for me.
"What do you think of my horses?"
"Beautiful."
"Let's compete?"
Without answering, I made it clear to the horse that it was time to run again, and now I've galloped far from him.
But when Leon was close to me, I looked at him and for a moment our eyes just clung to each other.
While Thunder and Lightning galloped forward, we ran away from this world.
I was drowning in dark green eyes.
Well, he smiled a little, knowing that I had already drowned in them, and now, only my fate depended on him.
A ship came to the island and now, it was not going to go anywhere.
I looked into his eyes and saw myself there.
My soul.
Suddenly, the thunder sounded in the sky and I closed my eyes.
Weightlessness, wind, I was in eternity.
Dark green fields merged with a dark blue sky. I loved this combination of colors.
I loved my life for allowing me to understand the meaning of everything.
Stopping at a tall tree, I jumped off my horse and fell to the ground.
The soft grass gently tickled my neck.
Leon lay down next to him.
Even if there was thunder in the distance, I knew it wouldn't rain.
I turned to him. I was wondering, what happens if we go beyond love and friendship?
What can two people give each other if you don't consider the difference between gender?
I was wondering, looking at him, I found in him myself, and found all the answers to my questions.
What I felt was not love, it was something more.
We were not divided by feelings. We were divided by something more.
Leon, was like the moon in the sky. He just exists and there is no dispute.
"You're wondering if you've fallen in love with me," he suddenly said as if reading my thoughts. Looking up into the sky, he continued, "Love is too easy. We don't feel that way. Maybe we're just soulmates. Just like the moon in the sky and no one can do anything about it."
"Just like the moon in the sky," I whispered.
He knows me too well. And I feel him to much.
He's a mind, and I'm a heart.
And our existence, for each other, is like the Moon in the sky.
Leaning on the tree, Leon, without looking at me, asked, "When you wrote the Chain Reaction, did you expect people to change?"
"Maybe yes."
"The stone will never become a diamond, the sky will never become earth, and people will never become people. They are anyone, but not people," he said and sighed heavily.
